The 2025 KPMG Women’s Irish Open will break new ground this week (July 3-7) with a record number of Irish players competing at Carton House.

“To have 16 Irish players in the field is not only a record, but a reflection of the talent pipeline that’s emerging. These players are inspiring a new generation to pick up a club and believe that they, too, belong at the top level.”
The field includes top professionals Leona Maguire, Olivia Mehaffey, Sara Byrne, Lauren Walsh, Annabel Wilson, Anna Foster (who finished tied fourth at the German Masters on Sunday), and Canice Screene.

They will be joined by an exciting group of nine elite Irish amateurs, who are making waves both domestically and internationally: Beth Coulter, Aine Donegan, Olivia Costello, Anna Dawson, Emma Fleming, Rebekah Gardner, Roisin Scanlon, Anna Abom, and Marina Joyce Moreno.
Coulter and Donegan arrive in Ireland fresh from starring roles in a dramatic comeback victory for GB&I against Continental Europe in the Vagliano Trophy.
The home guard will line up against some of the biggest international names in women’s golf, including Charley Hull, Georgia Hall, Anna Nordqvist, and Madelene Sagström, all multiple-time winners and Solheim Cup stalwarts.
The 2024 champion, Annabel Dimmock, recently announced she was pregnant and will be unable to defend the title she won following a play-off with Pauline Roussin Bouchard.
