WHO AM I
——————
Thanks for stopping by. I started this channel to help you on your journey as I know how tough learning this game can be.

I learned early on how frustrating learning the game can be. You might have already read books, watched countless videos, and still not seen the improvements you were hoping for. I’ve been there too. But through studying the best coaches, neuroscience, psychology, and personal development, I managed to go from a 25 Handicap to a +6 handicap in only 6 years before turning progressional.

I’m bringing you the same cutting-edge training that’s producing real results for my students. No matter where you are in your golfing journey—whether you’re just starting, feeling limited by flexibility, or aiming to slash your handicap—this is a space designed for you to learn, share ideas, ask questions, and get the support you need to thrive in this incredible game.

That said, if you’re looking for quick fixes, this isn’t the place. I offer practical, step-by-step guidance that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course. But real progress requires commitment—embracing mistakes, practicing hard, and putting in the work.

If you’re ready to do that, I’m here to help you watch those scores tumble and unlock your potential. Check out the links above if you’re ready to transform your game.

if you’re brand new to golf this first lesson will save you months of frustration i’m going to show you exactly what you should focus on so you don’t waste time develop bad habits or quit before you even get started this is the golf lesson I wish every beginner had before we get started subscribe so you never miss a free lesson and check out the description for coaching and free training to level up your game we’re going to start at the end the perfect golf shot what does it actually look like it’s high it’s long it’s straight it’s rightful on target with very little carvature to create that perfect shot we need a wonderful strike to create this wonderful strike so that we can hit perfect golf shots we need to do two things number one we must hit the center of the club face that’s crucial number two I’ve got three options for you we can either strike the ball first and then the ground after the ball we can hit the ball only no ground at all or we could hit the ground first and the ball after i’m going to give you a moment to consider which of the three is needed to create that wonderful strike we’re after now we know we need to hit it in the middle of the face but do we need to hit the ground before the ball do we need to hit the ball only so no ground at all or the ground after the ball have a little think for yourself for one moment and I’d like you to write it down so let’s run through it if the ball is on the ground here and the club comes in and strikes the ground before the ball this makes sense because you think the club can get under the ball it can lift it up you can launch it up into the air but this is not the right strike this isn’t what we want to do if we hit the ground before the ball yes we can get under it but all the dirt all the muck is going to get caught between the club face and the ball here and that’s going to affect where the ball goes we cannot then anticipate the distance or direction it’s going to go accurately so that’s not our optimal answer number two we can hit the ball only so we don’t hit any ground at all now this makes sense because the ground isn’t going to affect then where the ball goes unfortunately this is not the right answer either if we hit the ball only we tend to strike it off the bottom of the club head here now off the bottom of the club head there that’s not the center if we hit off the bottom the ball tends to run along the ground it doesn’t go very far it doesn’t go very high so that means option number three striking the ground after the ball is the right answer why is this if our ball’s on the ground here and the club comes in moving downward it has to move downward to strike the ground after the ball if this is the case as it moves downward here it strikes the ball first so no ground is caught between the face of the club and the ball it strikes out the middle of the face it keeps going downward after and strikes the ground after so because you’ve hit the ground after it then doesn’t affect how far the ball is going to go and you’re able to strike it in the middle of the face because the club is moving downward now on the surface this doesn’t make any sense at all because surely if the club is working downward how can the ball go up and I would completely agree except we have a wonderful thing on a golf club called loft now that is the angle that the club face here is angled back on so you’ll see that it’s not perfectly flat like this it’s actually angled slightly backward now this makes the ball go up in the air if you can hit the middle of the club face so even though the club is working downward by five or even 10° with a six iron here I’ve got around 32 degrees of loft so this club face is angled 32° upward and that means that even though the club’s working down the ball will still go up if I hit it out of the middle of the face so you need to swing the club downward to make the ball go upward if you do anything else you’re not going to alter my strike and the ball will not go as high as far or straight as you’d like it to we’re going to achieve this downward strike by using this a foam wedge i’m going to place it here on the ground just before this yellow line that I’ve got drawn on the mat so it’s around two club head widths behind that line now all I’m going to do now is address the front edge of that yellow line i’m going to make a swing where I try and miss this foam wedge and I strike the ground just after the yellow line this is a great way to start to train that downward strike so that you can get great hitting the ground after the ball and hit wonderful shots so just making some small swings here where I try and strike the ground after that line and miss the O wedge this drill can be surprisingly hard actually and a lot of people find that they strike this foam wedge or they strike the ground before that yellow line super super often here’s a couple things that can help you strike the ground after the ball more often so if you take your stance and place the ball very central in it so a lot of new golfers tend to place the ball near their front foot this causes us to hit the ground before the ball and make the club travel too upward we need it to go downward in order to achieve that we’re going to place it very central in line with the center of our belt buckle and our belly button right between our two heels second thing we can do is place a touch of weight on our front foot so I’ve got about 60 to 65% of my weight here on this front left leg this is going to assist me in getting the club to work downwards so I can strike the ground after the ball much more often so I’ve got this yellow line very central in my stance i’m placing more weight on pressure on this front foot here i’m stacking all of my body left and I’m going to make some swings trying to strike the ground just after the line you can see I’m doing a pretty good job of this i’m just just wearing out a little space there just in front of the yellow line practice this trying to strike just after that line on the ground missing the foam wedge until you can do it consistently then we can progress to stage two we can now take our golf ball and place it on that same yellow line and all I’m going to do is the exact same thing that I’ve been doing i’m going to get the ball central in my stance between the center of my two feet in line with my belt buckle and belly button i’m going to place weight and pressure on my left foot here so about 60 to 65% and I’m going to focus on swinging downward and striking the ground after the ball pay very close attention to where you strike the ground here can we hit the ground after the ball yes we can i’ve had a wonderful shot there i’ve compressed it wonderfully over the center of the club face and it’s come off with a load of power very accurately critique every shot that you hit and ask yourself did you hit the ground before the ball did you hit the ground after the ball or did you hit the ball only no ground at all and after every shot you’re going to start to build up a wonderful sense of what a really quality strike feels like and that’s going to hit help you hit better shots consistently
