How are you hey uh Ben Shockley with WX and Lancing Uh just wondering what you thought on the round overall and and your day overall
I’m a little hot right now Finished bogey bogey Um not thrilled with that kind of scraped it around hit some good shots hit some not so good shots but was hanging in there Did a good job of avoiding bogey Uh got to three under there with two to play And you know you’re somewhat manageable there But those two bogeies hurt Those last couple holes it looked like uh on eight struggled with you know the first shot and then on nine the the putting seemed to be the issue What kind of went into those yeah I mean the putt the the greens are tricky Uh they’re very tricky especially late in the day So I’m not I’m not beating myself up too bad I didn’t hit two bad putts but the one just didn’t do what we thought it would do Uh hold the four I had to chip out sideways I got a little frustrated because I was right up next to a stick and if I move the stick the ball was going to move So I really limited my options there um didn’t you know shouldn’t hit it there but at the same time it was kind of a tough tough break But I guess what are you looking uh looking forward to looking to do over the next uh you know tomorrow and try to get back on track here
yeah we need to get after it I mean uh I did a lot of things fine It’s just sometimes in golf you know you you try a little bit too hard and and things don’t go your way Um I’m not going to be all negative There were some good things out there for sure and you just try and build on that and and see if we can get a few more putts to roll in
Casey Lubon was waiting for you after your last hole Was there anything said between you guys no I love the guy and I think everybody knows that but we didn’t really say anything I was pretty hot

I I’m going to catch up with him after this Gotcha Uh Tyler Dingo with Channel 6 in Lancing um you know just to be able to have three Spartans in this field just how proud are you to to be able to represent the program uh in the PGA and and have three different guys doing it in the same week
yeah I mean I think it’s awesome Um I’m happy for those guys to to be able to tee it up in you know major event on the PGA tour anyway It’s not a major but it’s PJ tour event Uh it kind of takes me back to my younger years when I remember coming out making my first start Um so I’m wishing him well and and I think it says a lot about the program You know there’s Casey’s built a a solid foundation there
Um and last couple holes notwithstanding just how much do you enjoy this chance being able to to play in your home state and have some of your family there following you around throughout your rounds
yeah I mean it’s uh I was nervous on the first team for sure and and you know you feel it the whole way around So I I uh love everybody in the crowd I want to perform for him and and uh you know let him down a little bit today but like I said wasn’t all bad We we still got tomorrow
