let’s talk mini drivers what are they let’s explain why you might want to use a mini driver and what’s all the fuss about at the moment loads around at the moment i’ve got the Callaway Elite Mini Driver and the very nice looking Tailor Made R seven quad if you’re into that retro look so what we’re getting on mini drivers is we’re getting shorter in length than the actual driver for both of the clubs smaller head shape so this is 305cc’s where the Callaway is slightly bigger i think it’s around 350 or 340 CC’s i think it’s 350 I think cc’s drivers are up near 460 cc’s and 430 cc’s so smaller heads but big enough it’s interesting as well if we look at the Tailor Made and the Callaway the Tailor Made being that smaller CC head to the Callaway does lend it possibly more to feeling like a fairway and a T- club where the Elite Mini being that slightly bigger head you can hit this off the fairway but it does feel closer to a driver than it does a fairway and a T- club but you can play from both situations and that’s the point of these clubs subject to what loft you’ve got so in the Callaway here I’ve got the 13.5 it comes in an 11 as well the 11 I would be using only from the T not from the fairway very often at all because it’d be like hitting a driver from the deck where the 13 in the Callaway Elite I feel like I can get that from the T and the deck subject to the loft uh sorry the lie sorry the 11.5° here in the uh R seven quad obviously I think there’s other lofts as well in this club um this I’m going to really feel like this is punishing me off the floor i’m going to have to have a really really good lie both of the clubs feature all the tech so in the speed pocket at the bottom twist face changeable neck wraparound crown everything you see in a tailor made modern driver is on the Mini same with the Callaway 10 times AI face the new shaping on the top changeable neck they’re just shrinking everything down that’s in the driver already but giving you a two-wood option it feels like almost rather than a onewood in a driver threewood you might have from the fairway and a T feels like a two-wood it’s right in the middle so who would game these kind of clubs people I think who struggle with their driver if you can’t keep your driver on the planet this would be a good option of pushing the ball a long way down there but maybe keeping a little bit more control of it other golfers who have specific needs at specific courses this is why you’ll see the tour pros talking about these clubs because if you’ve got some courses I’ve played you’ve got lots of cross bunkers or ditches that you’re either trying to carry or lay up of if your driver is reaching those chrono hazards but you can’t fly them are you hitting like soft drivers all the time and if it is freewood that just drops too far back and the second shot is too long so certain courses might make you think actually I could use this as a club around my course like the fourth the 12th and the 17th this is perfect for but remember 14 clubs in your bag if you’re taking one out and putting this in you got to be careful what you’re put taking out mini drivers we’ve been there before or I’m not sure if they’ll stay relevant it’ll be really interesting i think for certain golfers they could really help anyone who’s struggling off the tea with a bit of speed still wants to send it i reckon those are the kind of golfers you’re going to see maybe giving these a go looking for that secret answer off the tea when I tested both of these compared them to my driver I was more accurate with these i was shorter but I felt like I could keep it more in play so there is an option for anyone struggling with their driver with distance the Mini Driver definitely is something I would uh advise having a go with thanks for watching and I hope you found that helpful remember to head over to the website to find the following perks we offer free UK standard delivery for life we offer loyalty points on every purchase we also have introductory discount offers on your next order and free access to the golf academy here at the golf shop

Yes please Mark 👌👌
I don't have a mini driver per se, I have a lofted up Callaway paradigm acting as a mini driver, I would add it's not all about distance it can be about shot shape and trajectory. If you can't really hit a 3 wood of the deck I would strongly suggest adding a mini driver to your arsenal instead of a 3 wood
Yes please
Mini driver's hit mini drives, why would you want that?? There have always been strong 3 woods and 2 woods.
This is an epic(no pun intended) move by the manufacturers…. Keep extending the stock length of the driver shaft each year until it's so long people can't control it… Then bring out a smaller driver chopped an inch or 2.. and sell golfers both clubs.. It's actually genius. For me, I chopped my actual driver 1.25 inches and now have distance and control.
What is the difference between a mini driver vs a standard driver with shorter shaft besides club head size and loft?
Weekend golfers who can’t hit driver won’t be able to hit mini or 3 wood .
The Elyte is 360 CCs not 350 and the loft is 11.5 not 11. (There's a 13.5 option too though) I think I'm going to get one. I have never liked gigantic heads. I'm just going to increase the shaft length from 43.75 to 44.75, which is only an inch shorter than a regular driver. Tweak the loft down to 10.5 and I don't think I'd be giving up much distance. I guess I'll find out.
Just got my R7 last week. Suits me well. Been struggling with my driver lately
Im a weekend golfer and I smash my 3wood but struggle with driver. These could be the answer 😅
