very well played out there around a five under tell me about your day
it was great um I mean the course you know I looked at the weather today and saw a few TE’s were up and knew that I needed to take advantage of you know a morning round with pretty still conditions um exactly what I did was patient out there as well like didn’t get too greedy on some holes um and yeah unfortunately unfortunately one bogey on the last but you know I’ll take five under if you told me that this morning
yeah of course some of the TE’s got pushed forward and that’s something you’re probably a little bit sad about cuz you’re one of the big hitters
yep yeah i managed to take advantage still though um stayed aggressive with some lines with those forward TE’s and had little flick wedges in which I was able to give myself a lot of birdie opportunities um but yeah I mean this course you know tomorrow could be a completely different day i think it will be actually so it’s nice to get that under the belt and have a good start
you played really well of late tenneref was good belgium was good so I guess you arrived here thinking you know I’m hot and form i’ve got a chance here yeah yeah i usually um I usually play better uh in comparison to the field when the course is playing harder um so I know Tenneref was a pretty high score um that one and Belgium as well really so I looked at this place and was like you know what if I’ve got um half a decent game around here I should be um pretty good but yeah you never know with the wind some of the bounces out there it’s all up to a bit of luck too but yeah I think the game’s in a good spot for sure
you’ve got an unusual secret weapon in the bag it’s a two iron isn’t it you’re hitting
tell us the reasons behind this
um I’ve always just loved hitting sters so it’s kind of like my go-to shot off the tea um little bit of a fairway finder kind of thing um and you got to you got to be on the fairways out here so I’ve been using that a lot uh the today and will do going forward
how far can you hit it if you really you know really smack it
uh with a bit of roll probably like 230 240 m okay
that’s depressing that’s further than my drive well done today
