After not getting along well with the Tour Edge C725 series of fairway woods, I take the E725 series out on course.

so if you saw my video of the Toridge Exotic C725 series you know that wasn’t my favorite fairway and hybrid combination i gave it a ranking somewhere in the 70s but TOED said “Hey try out the E version see if you like it better.” And that’s what we’re going to do here today so this is the E725 series i got to say just by looks it looks better to my eye especially the hybrid which I did not like in the C725 series but we’ll see if it performs better here on course going to run it through our full battery of tests and at the end I’ll be ranking this club we’ll see if it beats the C series and we’re gonna have some fun one way or the other first let’s take a closer look at these two all right so just like all Tor exotics they come with a nice head cover this is a pretty premium feeling head cover so for a product that isn’t a premium price they do a great job with that here’s the 3-wood on my right the hybrid on my left as you can see there’s some technology that is specific to Tore Edge built into both of these first of all you’ve got this vibration softening material here past the face this face itself is a diamond face which is Toridge Exotic’s proprietary variable face thickness technology so it should forgive shots off the toe and off the heel better than most clubs you can see both of these have a tungsten weight that is actually adjustable it’s nice to see that in a hybrid you don’t always get that both of these hoszles though are fixed and that to me is something that I would definitely like to see some adjustability built in there of course there’s going to be a few trade-offs when you got a more budget product but it would have been nice the material on top there is carbon fiber i think that’s a really nice look again this is a much more traditionally shaped hybrid than we had with a C725 version so I like that there’s also ridge technology running through that you can kind of see it here but it’s also running through the center of this club that you cannot see and what that’s going to provide is more stability higher MOI it should get you some nice peak height we’ll test that out on course as well this 3wood’s at 15° the hybrid’s at 19° they’re both paired with Denali stiff shafts the 3-wood’s going to be 70 g the hybrid’s going to be 80 g a nice package here from Tour Edge Exotics and if you can see that these clubs are handbuilt in the USA but more importantly have a lifetime warranty and we’ve had so many comments on the channel of folks that said they had a problem maybe with their Toridge clubs but it was immediately fixed and replaced by Toridge Exotics so they definitely back up that warranty that’s nice to have all right let’s take these out on course and put them through their paces first test here I’m going to take out the 3-wood and what we’re going to do is hit a few shots we’re going to measure the distance here with our Garmin G80 and we’re going to test accuracy distance all that good stuff so already just looking down at this club I like the way it sets up to my eye a lot better especially the E version of the hybrid but even this 3-wood I like the looks of now with my 3-wood I’m going to try to play a little bit of a fade here or at least a kind of a straighter shot well that one’s tugged but I’ll tell you what it flew off the club face club head speed was 97 ball speed was 138 the smash was 142 the estimated carry 215 and total 243 shot two here let’s see if we can straighten it out a little bit there we go i love the rising trajectory of this one almost like a teardrop i love that type of shot shape that’s my favorite type of trajectory off of a fairway wood club speed there was 97 ball speed was 137 the smash was 141 and the estimated carry 212 i think it was probably a little bit longer the total they got is 240 i don’t know if we’ll get that kind of roll out today where it’s the morning time and it’s also very dewy out here but I love the shape see if I can repeat that now yeah wow it only took me a couple swings to really start to dial this one in that’s got just a real pretty straight ball fly but maybe just a touch of a draw club head speed 96 ball speed 138 the smash was 144 the estimated carry 215 and total 243 i’d really like to see myself this time of morning with that kind of club head speed i’d love to see myself around the 235 mark honestly so let’s see where it finished the GA is going to tell us that so I know I like a club almost immediately and this one I’ve got to say it feels great in these initial swings the sound and feel really are nailed here i greatly greatly prefer this one to the C725 model this E725 I think is going to be a much easier club to hit but just a much more pleasant feeling and sounding club at the same time really like what I’m seeing so far let’s get the distances here all right here’s my first shot out here i’m kind of in jail but uh we lost a lot of distance being over here probably hit this tree so 215 was the number but let’s check out these other good ones my second and third shots these numbers going to be really close to the carry numbers we got from the G80 we didn’t get probably any roll out i can’t really tell exactly where that ball hit but it didn’t roll hardly at all so 211 is the number here and then we’ve got one a little bit further up and this one is at 216 there so I would like to see a little more distance I’ll say in terms of just shot shape and everything i love that let’s take it to another hole here see if we can get the club head speed up and see what we can max out at but all in all for the first three shots with the club that I’ve literally never swung before I’ll take it all right test two here here now I’ve got a very wide fairway so uh I’m going to take a big swing at this one and we’ll see if we can still control it well took a big swing got a big draw so just like the first shot in the other hole we’re going to be favoring that left side club head speed there though was definitely up 101 ball speed 141 i caught that kind of healy and a little low so the smash factor is down at 140 but we’ve got our estimated carry there up to 220 shot two see if I can straighten it out i did but again I hit that low on the club face and this club is doing really well with low strikes club head speed 99 ball speed 140 smash 141 estimated carry 218 and I still think there’s a lot more in the tank here if I can hit this middle of the club face i tee it up just a little higher this time that was really pounded we’ll see if it carries that bunker on the left side looks like it did clubhead speed was 99 ball speed 143 smash 144 estimated to carry 226 so these two shots back here are actually the ones I hit low on the club face but still we got again decent distance 215 is the number here in the fairway we’ve got another one over here in the rough 212 is the number here in the rough obviously didn’t get as much roll out the last one here is pretty big and again not much roll up cuz we actually hit the bunker 236 is the number here so that’s what I was hoping for with distance that we can get to that number again that would have been probably a 245 shot there’s two things working against it on this hole it’s uphill and of course I hit the sand since we got almost no roll out you can see it hit right here and landed right there so with a little roll out I think I could easily get to 245 with this club which would be really a fantastic result now a 3-wood’s got to perform not only well off the tea but it’s got to perform well off the deck so we’re going to get to a par five next to test that out all right middle of the fairway here we’ve got 3-wood so I just want to see how well this club does off the deck this is a nice thin profile generally I kind of like the looks of that but we’ll see if we can get this one airborne fatted it but still got it up in the air it’s down the fairway didn’t get a ton of distance there certainly but advanced it there we go that’s well struck again nice tight draw let me see if I can turn this one the other way as well i’m going to hit one and try to fade it and that’s fading so yeah wow one of the best 3woods I think off the deck from what I can tell here early it’s just the trajectory very easy and again very forgiving so just to give you an idea of distance there 205 here with the fade shot and up just a little bit 219 was my shot that was drawing a little bit so again I really love how you’re getting a penetrating trajectory it’s really really a pleasure to hit let’s go ahead and move over to the hybrid here and see if we can get some good results with that as well so as I mentioned I really like the E version here of the hybrid in terms of shape a lot better this is a much more traditional shape than we had with the C version from Tour Edge Exotics i’m out here about 205 so we’re going to see if we can maybe challenge this pin which is a little elevated from here let’s see what happens boy again very easy to get up in the air that one’s drawn back towards the green and we’re actually I think pin high it wasn’t a great strike i hit it off the toe but again very easy to get this hybrid up in the air shot two here i’m going to adjust my swing here again and see if I can fade one in well very straight shot again let’s see if we’ve got the distance we do that’s up on top first swings I’ve taken with this one too that bodess well that one I came off the club head a little bit lower but it’s maybe going to catch yeah well for a second there it caught the green and actually rolled off well I got to say I from 205 out I’m very happy with the results here this one’s actually this was our first one it was just past the pin again it was hit off the toe so we got plenty of distance we hit it 210 easily look at this one though from 205 where I hit that i’ve got 8 ft here for birdie and our third one which I hit very low on the club face it didn’t go nearly as high in terms of trajectory but obviously I took a little spin off it too that’s our longest one so we’re over here just left of the green and probably hit that one 215 so wow very impressed with what we saw from the hybrid at least there off the deck initial shots now a hybrid really a versatile club and we’ll see if it can help us escape some tougher lies next i’m going to put it in some deeper rough and we’re going to put it in the bunker and see how it performs let’s do that next give myself a couple of not so great lies just to see how this hybrid performs see if we can get it up and out and out of trouble we’re again about 200 yds out here shot one oh my gosh that was easy to get out of the rough it was like the rough wasn’t even there oh my gosh I almost hit the guy i did not expect that he hadn’t quite cleared the hole and I almost hit him people always ask are there people out here playing yes I’m actually sandwiched right now between a fast group behind me and a slow group in front of me and I almost hit the guy in front of me so sorry buddy this one is even worse see how I get out of this one that one’s pretty well buried i hit that toe side still got up in the air no problem i’m right at the green but I’ll take that this might actually be my best lie and best result as well looking like left side of that green so super easy to get this one out of the rough let’s take it into a fairway bunker next and see if it can perform there as well all right out here in the sand and again what hybrids do well is getting you out of multiple situations let’s see if we can get it up and out of this and then I’ve got to actually clear that tree in front of me too so we got to get some height quick it’s got to get up in the air quickly no problem there that got really high and that would definitely that shot would get us back into position shot two here man it is really effortless to hit this club that has a nice tight draw to it perfect one more h and you can see I hit more sand than ball there but we’re still out so it glides through really nicely both the freewood and this hybrid very impressive in terms of just getting up in the air quickly even on less than perfect contact so I got to say some of the easiest fairway woods and hybrids I’ve ever had the pleasure of testing out on this show all right so first off let’s go ahead and score these clubs it’s going to be a much bigger score than we had with the C version for sure these are the ones I’d put in my bag and uh I’d say this hybrid actually has a halfway decent chance of getting in my bag this year i need to do some further testing but I really really like what I’m seeing here in terms of distance I think the hybrid distance was really fantastic i think it could have squeaked some more yards out of the Tour Edge so all in all if I’m going to grade these together I’m going to say four out of five here for distance in terms of forgiveness I’m going to give these four and 1 half out of five very forgiving club very easy to get up in the air especially that 3-wood off the deck was very impressive and the hybrid off the deck in all those different situations very impressive i’m close to giving it a five but I think four and a half out of five is the fair score here in terms of workability I do think you get some good workability out of this one it’s not going to blow your socks off but this is really all about hitting straight shots anyways we’ll go ahead and give that a four out of five for workability when it comes to aesthetics looks feel and sound i’m going to give it four and a half out of five in terms of looks I think the shape they’ve nailed and the only thing I’d say is maybe I’d love just a classic kind of shiny black finish like you get on a title club that would be my only thing but it’s pretty subjective when it comes to value I’m also going to give this four out of five stars for value and the one little knock that would probably keep it from being a full five would be the adjustability in the hoszle for a tour level club you really want to have some adjustability in order to really dial in the trajectory of the shot this out of the gates worked very well for me and I was getting wonderful peak height paired with this Denali shaft but it’s still nice to have options and with that great price point I think four out of five is my number there for value so all in all here’s your score on screen this blows away in my opinion the C version from Tour Edge Exotics they’ve done a great job here with the E version i’m really happy to see it i hope you’ve enjoyed this review make sure you hit subscribe but if you want to check out more really great value from Tour Edge Exotics I’m going to leave a video to what I think is one of the best budget drivers this year in the C725 model take a look at that one and I’ll catch you back here next time on another edition of Let’s Play Through

  1. There's really no reason a handicap golfer should ever be hitting a 15° 3-wood off the fairway. I would never judge a 3-wood this way

  2. This old guy is such a bad salesman and needs to monetize his channel obviously. He got a phone call from Tour Edge and agree on $. Wake up folks. Golfing YouTube vids are just propaganda to get in your wallet. There’s much better fairway woods in 2025 than these Tour Edge.

  3. I like Tour Edge and appreciate the price points for the higher quality clubs they offer but weren’t you getting the same or more distance when hitting the Pure 3 and 4 irons? Maybe it is a different day and conditions but I would expect more distance from a 15 degree and 19° club.

  4. Thanks for the review Gabe! I’ve always loved tour edge woods. Great to see them getting some love

  5. dont' waste money buying no brand names. There's only 4 companies you should buy from, Titleist, Taylor Made, Callaway, Ping. Cobra is a maybe.

  6. Have the E723 fairway and it is the best 3 wood/fairway I have owned. Super forgiving, just a weapon.

  7. Awesome review.. I love TE.. I have never been able to afford their exotics brand though. The E series looks more appeasing to the eye. Again.. thanks for giving us more mortals a review of clubs that are NOT from the big 3 golf companies.

  8. 3D Diamond Face
I'm 61. The new 3D Diamond Face is made up of new three-dimensional diamond shapes of variable face thickness behind the face. There are 61 total diamond shapes featured on 3D Diamond Face, comprising seven different 3D thicknesses in an interweaving pattern. The mini-trampolines that make-up 3D Diamond Face create faster ball speeds and an expanded sweet spot.

  9. Good looking clubs and I LOVE that they removed the spine that went through the crown and put it under the carbon. I am personally looking for much more carry and total distance on my 3 wood. I only swing maybe a couple mph faster than you, and I often need a 225 carry out of my 3 wood off the deck. The hybrid and 3 having very similar carry/total distances is a bit odd for me. This would really make question my carry distances… and no adjustability in 2025??? Come on TE, that was probably a 3 dollar per club upgrade at cost.

  10. Tour Edge CS has been amazing when I've needed to use them. I've tried both their E722 and C722 series and settled on the C722 for my driver, wood, and hybrid. I love the square, iron-esque look of the C722 hybrid! Looks like an iron face at address, which I prefer to my woods.

  11. Hi Gabe!

I have 3 TE fairways going back to the CB2. And an original fairway with the steel comb sole plate which was a cannon at 17 degrees! I paid just below $500 for it. Worth every penny. Very, very long and in some cases longer than my driver.

I’m struggling with a “P” 5 wood off the deck and tee but it is rated as No 1 in all testing. Done!

Because if your wonderful video, I’m calling TE today and buying 2 fairways.
Of course with a Senior shaft these days.

Great and unbiased review — Thank You!

  12. Tour Edge is doing the golfer a big favor by offering good product at a better price.

  13. Many players never use hosel adjustment , which is a pity , as they dont understand it as there all different
