Is this a MUST PLAY golf course in Charlotte?? The Divide Course Vlog

this golf course right outside of Uptown Charlotte is one of my favorite tracks and definitely a course that you have to check out This area is riddled with a handful of golf courses but today we’re playing one of my favorite spots and definitely a spot that you need to check out We’re out at the Divide playing the tips [Applause] golfers Welcome back to the channel I’m Allan with you guys We are out at the Divide Like we said we’ve played here a couple of times before but it’s been a long time since we played here Uh so we’re just going to do a normal round Give you a look see how it’s you know greening up We’re playing at the end of May here Everything’s looking pretty lush We just had a ton of rain Um so we’ll see kind of what we get but we’ll be playing the tip Starting off with the par4 We only need three wood just to kind of get us in the middle of the fairway Come on That was beautiful
Thank you sit Sit All right A little more than that to par five Sevenwood though There’s a bunch of trash up on the right hand side It gets really tight to the left So we’re making a nice smart swing Nothing more than 260 yards here Long way in after that We go All right Nice smart drive there We’ve got forever to go though so we’re just taking three wood See how close we can get this thing up there Whoa Sit Whoa Sit All right Little toe ball Oh that’s so right Sit Okay Oh read that backwards [Music] A little helping wind here for this par three Front pin 181 yards is what I’m picking up Still going to go with a nice easy sixiron here though We got space behind the pin so no reason to be short and leave ourselves potentially a muddy chip See what we get [Music] Little long caught a clean flew on me but got good putt [Music] That’s beautiful Thank you boys [Music] Okay solid so far Rolling the ball nicely Uh we’ve got a par4 there You can see the blue boxes a little bit further up There is a gold on the scorecard Um but they don’t have the gold out here I think these back boxes are meant for those Um so we’re just going to play it as if that’s where we’re we’re at Uh driver trying to keep it just on the lefth hand side just a touch Just right where that 150 marker is Oh don’t go the bunker Oh just over it All right we cleared the bunker of 110 yards in this rough Not sure what this going to do We got 54° back so got to get it there All right Okay Part five here Little sloping dog leg to the left Um there’s a bunker on the right hand side of this fairway Just inside of that is good Everything kind of rolls down if I remember correctly So tee it high Let it fly Got a little helping wind See if we can get there in two Okay Okay Great drive here Great angle at this Little into the wind 250 yards We’re going to go a nice casual 3-wood Let’s make sure we get over that bunker If we’re a little long on the right side that’s okay too So that’s what we’re going to kind of aim for [Applause] [Music] Oh too short So much room to play with That was silly [Applause] Oh that thing shoots Yeah silly mistake there Just leaving that first pitch so short Good chip and then just didn’t read the putt Well part four here Pretty short one slanted fairway though Everything kicks from the right to the left So we’re going to kind of aim up towards the green side bunker on the right Got driver winds into so we shouldn’t worry about getting into trouble So see what we get [Music] All right Pretty comfortable position here Just 82 yds remaining PL’s a little bit on the backside We got to get this one close Had a couple of looks They’ve been testers I would like to get something that we should be able to put into the hole here Get us back to one over Playing some solid golf right now So kind of a little bit more demanding of ourselves than maybe we normally would be So see if we get 58° going Nice bar man Oh shake that one out Oh par three here That’s a heck of a save on that last hole Downhill 163 yards A perfect eight iron Really what you see is what you get Wish the T- box was in better shape but pushed it short [Music] Okay part four Dead straight away but everything kind of kicks left to right You don’t want to be covered by the right side trees that you can kind of see off the top here So just try to keep it left Uh pretty much out towards the cart path where this guy’s cart is at the moment is kind of a good target aiming line So you can fade the ball a little bit Here we go Just bounce off Okay we’ll see All right this is what we’re talking about This is in the fairway but it gets so tight in terms of what you have for a vision point So we got to take eight iron about 160 yards over this tree Not the first one but the one just behind it Maybe a little fade be nice See not an easy shot That could be really good We’ll see [Music] Wow It’s been a really tidy front nine so far you know just the couple of up and down opportunities that we’ve missed but we’ve been putting the ball in good spots off the tee putting the ball well And there may be a chance here if we hit a good one try to get something back before we get into the clubhouse for the front Drivers out par forward straight away just between these two bunkers Here we go [Music] Driver’s been good to us today All right we caught the right side of this speed slope with that helping wind We only have 86 yds left Love that 58° Got no excuses here Front K So let’s just make sure we get it all the way there Looks like there’s a little slope that may want to kick down to it So let’s trust that Oh too much Come back down Sweet One more roll [Music] Green’s coming down a little But we’re going to hit this T-shot then give you guys our front nine review and update Currently three over though We take that Not bad Drivers out here for this whole just kind of taking a tight shoot towards that collection of trees in the distance See what we get [Music] Yep All right It’s temporary raintorm came through Rain cloud came through We got 136 A little bit of the wind Going with the P wedge Nice and easy Get it back there Hopefully get a little bit All right Almost stole one there Not quite though Hole 11 is a dog leg to the right creek kind of guarding this fairway uh from where the approach to the green would be So we’re just taking 3-wood We are into the wind so we probably could take driver from this very back box but we’re just going to take 3-wood Keep it nice and safe Middle of the fairway left of this fairway bunker Profit Come on [Music] All right long second shot in from there but it’s still going to be a second shot Do a little front nine front 10 update here for you guys So far I really like the layout of this course There are some holes like hole eight for instance that I just feel like are really cheesy and just don’t really provide true test for golf It’s just silly that the fairway ends up being blocked out by a bunch of trees It’s just you know some holes that feel a little bit forced but for the most part the layout is actually very fun Um I will say for about $70 tea time normally 67 bucks Conditions wise it’s not quite at that level right now We did get a lot of rain so a bit of forgiveness but there’s a bunch of spots on the greens that have been really really bumpy and the tea boxes have not been really tended to have been cut So some things there but overall not bad They just did redid the car paths too which is cool Very smooth ride Let’s go hit this ball kind of continue on from that conversation The rough is it’s kind of like rough It’s not super long It’s going to punish you a little bit Fairways have been in pretty good shape It’s really just the green Some of the greens the bunkers again is bathed and rainy so whatever Um and T boxes Everything else has been pretty soft Got 128 here Perfect 50° See if we can get one close Get one back Skyball That’s fun Go in [Music] Okay big save there Gets us into a 515-ish yard par five Got driver Just take it to the left side of this bunker that’s out there Let’s keep the driver swing going Nice and smooth We’ve been hitting the ball real well off the tea Let’s keep that up [Music] All right All right Got about 206 left but helping wind We’re going to go with the five iron instead of the four Let’s really crunch on one here Get it over the bunker There’s a false front kind of This is a big slope It’s in the middle of the green So try to keep it to the right of the pin See if we can get all the way out there Oh I caught it pure Pushed it pure Yeah I hit that really well Divot looked good I think it was caught with a little bit of an open face Just kind of pushed it and then faded on me But it might be dropping We’ll see It looked like it bounced over the car path So we’ll see how much space there was there but hit the ball well That’s all we really care about All right I’m going to take a drop way into the woods Not playable 58° up and over Up and on Don’t make park Oh no See I caught a fin No [Music] Good shot [Music] [Applause] [Music] We’re saving a lot with our putting game right now which we really like a lot but it’s unfortunate we kind of bladed that drop shot right there Still playing well 177 back pin Wind is well mostly covered but a little instant I’m still going to go 700 I’m feeling really strong with seven right now So going to hit a nice crunchy one Come on Three yard number All right Thanks
I don’t really know where this game is coming from I really feel like I haven’t had the best opening to this season so far especially in Charlotte Playing really solid today All three parts of the game really coming together So I love that I like this part three I always play this part three pretty well We had some really fun holes coming up But I will say just kind of going back on the review there have been some greens that have been like unexcusable like dirty sandy not really in shape Uh but some of them are actually in really really good shape So it’s kind of like 50/50 on what you’re going to get Fairway the most part have been really tight really solid Again conditions wise 6 and 1/2 7 out of 10 Not bad [Music] I had a look at one there but we’ll take pars especially on par threes that are looking like that Got a par four here dog to the left Um just to the left of the last barker at the top of the fairway is fine with driver A little over the corner is also good We got a lot of space on the left So towards that big collection of trees in the distance That’s what we’re looking for Oh it might be too far left Maybe we get bounce Okay we hit one of these trees over here Ended up not being playable Drop in three 136 P Wedge Got to kind of keep this underneath the tree a little bit here All right kind of hit the ball Got a little sloppy but tried to overcook a draw We got punished for it It’s a nice straight ball here I don’t have to worry about doing anything It’s a straight hole Just drive her all day Right down the old sent Come on See if we can get one back You still want to twist that right bunk your head hard though [Music] [Music] [Applause] par4 here Dog leg to the left We got seven wood out Trying to play a little bit of a draw um off the target line here from the T- box Looking at the 150 marker that’s out there but a little bit left of that There’s a bunker on the left edge Um so there’s more space left than what there looks That’s what I’m trying to get at here So seven wood straight in between the left side of the trees and the 150 marker Come on All right we’re being stupid We got a hero shot here 130 yards Got 50° Got to kind of go up over these trees A little draw See if we can get the ball to kind of fall down This is a dumb idea but come on Well almost I’ll go a mile We’re off the right lead Looks like we’re off Right Wrong speed All right not super successful with that hero shot attempt Not bad Not great Got 184 here A little helping wind We’re not going to do anything too crazy We’re just going to take a sixiron Um it’s helping him off the right so it’s not super helping Not going to take a te to it Just going to kind of play it off the ground See if we can get something close See if we can go birdie 30 be the right number Oh my goodness that’s beautiful Woo [Music] play team part five split fairway situation

Oh my [Music] 300 yard All right All right Go for broke time We got 220 to the pin 210 to cover the water We got 7wood 240 number here See if we can get this thing up there No way that doesn’t turn [Music] We’ll see if it caught that front BM I saw a little splash but maybe it skipped It doesn’t look like that was going to get up So taking a drop on the other fairway here 77 yards Still big par Thanks All right there are perfect average golfers That is every single hole from the backmost box at the divide We actually did the plane pretty darn well I don’t know why my voice got so high Driver was locked in for us today Our approach game is also pretty good and uh we did sink a couple of really clutch putts Um just a couple of mistakes out there like we didn’t need to hit that hero 50° that 7wood Um we ended up did we did find the ball in the water It was just up against the brim on the furthest right hand side So if we would have gotten a little more draw out of that or a little bit more height out of that it would have carried and it would have been fine So with that in mind we did break 80 out here 79 on the nose 39 in the front 40 on the back Um and you know again it’s like the conditions overall were were fine um some of the greens some of the fairways some of the tea boxes were in really great shape Others were not So it’s just kind of a 50/50 a little bit of a roll of the dice depending on which hole you’re on But if the course were to play in the best condition that it could be with some of those holes I would say this is actually a course that’s really growing on me quite a bit Um but at the moment I think you know for 70 bucks doesn’t really feel like it’s there Um I would say 50 sure I could see 50 60 bucks Uh 70 and above though is is a bit of a stretch Um some of the holes feel like you’re on a $30 golf course others feel like you’re on a $90 golf course So take the average there I think overall that’s going to do it from the Divide Um we are going to try to get into South Carolina and play a couple of the courses we have yet to hit on our um Charlotte kind of tour so to speak Um and I do want to get out and play Todd Hill Farm very very soon as well That one supposed to be pretty nuts So definitely sub if you’re in the area whether you’re trying to break 100 90 or 80 They’re super average Bye-bye [Music]
