i changed my golf irons and you should too so many golfers are focusing their irons on either an ego purchase what they’re expected to play and basing it maybe too much on the look of a club so to give you an example say this is the every brand does this this is the Mazuno Pro this is a bladed style harder to hit iron I play so myself this is my dirty iron you can tell it’s mine cuz it’s never that clean this is the Stricken ZXi4 all brands make this version of iron so this is more of a game improvement iron say more than this Mazuno Pro iron yes the Mazuno Pr looks fantastic down by the ball yes it will feel fantastic off the face but does that lower my scores these are the questions you should be asking yourself for me having an iron that’s stronger loft but it’s still peak height up there as much as anything out there meaning the land angle as it comes into the green is going to be healthy allowing me to stop the ball the other end it’s all great hitting cranked irions longer but if the ball’s not stopping the other end how you want it to that’s going to hurt your scores more than anything else but what I do like from a more game improvement thicker iron with more support around the club is when I’m not striking it out the middle which can be from shot to shot day to day not every day are we hitting the ball out in the middle even better players even the players you see on tour aren’t doing that having an iron that might tighten my dispersion when my dispersion is off allows me to lower my scores let’s stop thinking of irons as looks feel and think more about performance and try and find where the performance is for you the benefits now don’t be if you’re someone who uses a proite iron and your performance is great with them you hit greens you get the land you get the distance there would be no reason to change cuz remember it’s about performance you like the look and feel and then that leads to better performance if that is true keep doing that but for most golfers performance comes from how that ball impacts and what happens when it hits the face has less to do with the looks and the feel of that club these are things I would always talk about in my reviews cuz it’s good to know what a club looks and feels like ultimately pick height land angle launch spins these are the things that you want to be looking at and trying to get them as tight as possible to make sure your consistency is there on the golf course when we all are lacking consistency game improvement irons for most people watching this video it’s going to be a great place to start before you start moving down and don’t think about it just as for handicap as well i’m a pro golfer and even if I competed today I would still use these game improvement friendlier irons what irons do you use and why maybe let us know thanks for watching and I hope you found that helpful remember to head over to the website to find the following perks we offer free UK standard delivery for life we offer loyalty points on every purchase and free access to the golf academy here at the golf shop
