Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel! This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!

I specialise in golf equipment reviews, golf instruction & I play against some of the best golfers in the world!

I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.

I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!

this fairway wood is can be a killer weapon now there’s a couple of things to note it’s very different to hitting off a T hitting a 3-wood off the floor it’s okay if you hit down a little bit like taking a divot is okay with a 3-wood so a couple of things to note if you just come around this side I’ll show you ball position with 3-wood you want it to be kind of three quarters of the way to the left foot so not too far forward even come around a touch more so you can see that kind of in line with three quarters of the left foot the other thing is you don’t want to lean the body back too far feel like the chest is almost over the top of the club head it’s really important and like I mentioned it’s okay if that club hits the ground a little bit like don’t worry about taking a small divot so with that in mind ball position don’t lean too far back and feel like you’re slightly hitting down on it you should hopefully hit a shot that looks a bit like this that is very nice i don’t think I’ve quite reached the par five in two but you can just you just see it’s very subtle but I’ve kind of just bruised the grass just made a little indentation get the bottom of the club hitting the floor floor that’s the trick

  1. Rick, we love when you edit between "should look like this" and the actual strike because we all know you hit it all over the map. Your fans anyway, we know you aren't good and don't want you to be. We have George and Grant etc. for that. and it's not as much fun as someone who is real and flawed and cheerful and can still play pretty well. (sorta :-))

  2. My biggest problem is that I play at pretty cheap courses so the fairways feel like I'm hitting concrete if I try any kind of divot lol

  3. Rick love the dialogue and your feed, BUT, STOP saying floor – fairway, off the deck, sfrom the short grass..anything! Its not the FLOOR. thx

  4. I just got a new offset 5 wood recently because my driver is way too much for most holes (aspiring long driver) and I want the 5 wood to draw really hard and the stupid thing is going straight of course just my luck 🤣

  5. But you shoot like 86 on average I would say…. Why aren't you getting any better???? But still loved your videos 😬

  6. That’s how u should hit it off a tee as well. Just give a perfect fairway lie. Unless you are elite ur average distance and accuracy will be better if you hit down on it
