please welcome to live golf Dallas media center uh fireballs GC’s Abraham answer three under 69 today leaves you tied for fourth right now uh can you just talk about your round yeah very solid round uh very happy the way I hit it off the tea i think I only missed um two fairways that led to two bogeies uh the rough is is no joke out there but uh I love golf courses like that that you have to be you have to be in the fairway um definitely hurts to finish the way I finished with a double bogey obviously just uh felt like I I just lost a little bit of concentration in that par three um I missed a short par uh birdie putt on the on the par five the second um and then I hit a bad shot on on on three and just made a little bit of a mess of it that’s just what happens out here if you’re not where you’re supposed to be uh but other than that I I felt great i hit the ball really good rolled it nicely i never really got into too much trouble which is uh the key for for this golf course
you had a runner up in Adelaide and you’re 19th in points coming in how do you feel about the season to date for you
yeah obviously started really nice in Australia um that one got away from me hakaco played really well on that Sunday and coming down the stretch um things didn’t go my way there and um and then it’s been a little bit of a roller coaster i felt like I haven’t finished the tournaments the way I I wanted some tournaments that I that I felt like I played good enough to finish in the top five top 10 for sure and then just have a little bit of like a slip here and there and you end up 14th or 19th and you’re like man what what happened so it’s been a couple of really bad tournaments um but other than that I feel like my game has been in a good in a good position which I I feel like it’s trending the right way uh and I put a lot of work in this last uh two years and I feel like my swing and and things are starting to kind of fall into place a little bit but uh it’s a process you know we sometimes we feel like that and tomorrow I can tell you man uh I think I’m lost or I think I figure it out so it’s all uh it’s all you can put it into perspective for sure
so you came into this week with a outside chance of still getting the open exemption still you know you still have a mathematical possibility has that been on your mind at all did you think about it as you as you entered this week
i mean ever since they announced the the exemptions it’s it’s been in my mind obviously you’re you’re always trying to to perform the best and be ob obviously at the highest uh you can on the leaderboard on the points list um but yeah I mean I would I would definitely love to to do really well the next two rounds and hopefully have a chance for that spot i know it it’ll be it’ll be tough but mathematically it’s a it’s a possibility so um I’m going to give it my all and see um see where it takes me all right we’ll open it up for questions if you just raise your hand we’ll bring you a microphone over here to the right in Spanish it’s possible fairways please Yes forch latina Mexo Fireball one one last question for me uh talking about the fireballs you guys obviously went through that really hot stretch win three straight what’s it been like since then and and you know the talk about trying to get back into that you know incredible form that you guys showed yeah no absolutely obviously those three tournaments that we played uh they were they were incredible and I think we’re all in not firing on all cylinders but you when there’s four scores counting it’s tough like you can’t have somebody that is not playing good all of them have to be somewhere in the mix and u and just we haven’t done that in the last event so we just uh we got to all figure it out uh individually and then collectively it’s going to it’s going to happen that we’re going to come back and and hopefully have a chance to win some events but uh yeah we definitely talked about it we just need to obviously play some good golf and we’re all working really hard we’re practicing as much as as we can on the things that we need to to figure out and u and yeah I think um I think we’re on the right track for sure
