Played Darkhorse golf course in Auburn, CA on my birthday and ended up shooting a 79.
It was the first time that I had been back up to the course since the new ownership took over and did some major improvements to the course. They have completely renovated all the bunkers on the course, which was a major problem in the past with this course. The course was in great shape, and I would definitely recommend you give this course a try.
It is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills and it is absolutely beautiful up there.
