How the GOATs like Bobby Jones released the club is in many ways the opposite of how some instructors teach today. Both work, but one places much greater demands on the body than the other, do you know which?
again I’ve showed Bobby Jones’s release quite a few times because it’s a it’s an extreme example of how much he lets that wrist release instead of a lot of golfers are trying to maintain this forever and ever and ever it takes a lot of strength to do that and you can definitely play that way but you’ll find that you start fighting the ball going left and flying really low instead of what the greates did slight bowing and then extension almost immediately after the ball

I had no idea Chuck Norris was also a golf instructor?! Is there anything he can't do?
Today’s equipment make that hand pattern irrelevant unless you’re trying to hit a flop shot. The shaft today will kick by themselves. You don’t have to force them to be released.
That’s why Freddy Couples hits it so far. He fully releases those hands through impact beautifully which gives him effortless speed. Nice vid!
I had an epiphany moment practicing flop shots. I was trying to actively throw my right hand as fast as possible, with the sense of not rolling, but almost scooping. I never felt so much free speed, and my hips were open so much at impact.
Bobby Jones used hickory shafts too 😂
Is it 'pronations' job to close club face, or should club face already be square at 'deviation' ?
David Duval talked about throwing the club BEHIND him, with his right wrist.
