Par2Pro shows you a head to head launch monitor comparison between the new GolfJoy Spica 3 and the Foresight Sports GC3!

hey everyone Cam here from Parta Pro got an exciting new product that we’re testing today it’s the Golf Joy Spya 3 so it’s their uh portable launch monitor i’ll just hold this one up so you can see it that is it right there so uh three camera system and portable uh unless you’re playing simulated golf uh then you’d want it then you need to have it uh plugged into the computer i’m going to be doing a little bit of a head-to-head test uh obviously we can’t really put these beside each other it’s going to cause a little bit of interference uh so we’re going to hit a bunch of shots with the Spike 3 and then we’re going to go over to the trusty GC3 from Foresight and we’re going to hit a few with that as well so let’s get this into position uh I’ll show you the club stickers as well but pretty unique club stickers uh there’s actually nothing on the face it’s just on the toe so you can see that is where they’ve asked us to install the club sticker uh same thing on a driver uh fairway wood it just goes right onto the toe there so obviously being a sidefacing uh camera setup you just need that on the toe and then it’s going to pick up the club data so we go through here i’ll take you through the the ball data that we’re going to get we’re going to get carry ball speed launch angle side spin uh let me just pull that up back spin and launch direction and then our club data we’re going to get our club speed uh our club path our attack angle and then uh it’s ball data we’re going to get spin rate and spin axis so we’ll compare all these numbers between the Spya and the GC3 so I got a 9 iron let’s hit about 10 shots with each and we’ll show you what the comparison looks like [Music] hey [Music] hey hey [Music] all righty guys so there was a quick uh time lapse of hitting some balls there obviously this being its main competition in the market I wanted to test the spike of three directly up to the GC3 and as we can see from these numbers uh looks looks very similar um if we go down each column I think these numbers are are within uh within tolerance for sure so uh look at the ball speed 108.5 to 108.6 um some of the carry 148 149 back spins within 300 revs club speed is within a mile an hour club path 1.36 to 1.56 and attack angles 2 to 3° so the biggest difference was in the attack angle but other than that seeing some fantastic uh results here from the Spy of 3 if we look at both interfaces I’ll put the video up on screen for you now you can see how similar the interfaces of both of these devices are uh even when pulling back and looking at them both uh they look very similar uh very similar in their camera setup uh with the with the three cameras so a lot of similarities between these two devices the main difference though with the Spya 3 for simulated rounds it does does require to be plugged into the PC so similar to an i mini light or a Bushnull LPI it does require that wired connection and it also does require a subscription fee with the Golf Joy software the retail is going to be $31.99 USD so slightly slightly uh reduced price from the GC3S um which is also a subscription model however the GC3S does come with a Bushnell X3 rangefinder so value-wise uh they’ll be very similar in what you’re getting however again with the simulated rounds uh having to be plugged into the PC that is definitely a downside i think Golf Joy is looking to uh make this a wireless connection which would definitely uh boost its value in my opinion although we don’t currently offer the Golf Joy product we are able to help all of our customers navigate the entire world of golf simulators even ones that we don’t sell to help provide our customers with the best possible option for their needs so hopefully you guys enjoyed that breakdown of the uh testing of the Spya 3 launch monitor stick around we’ll have plenty of more new devices to test please drop us a like and subscribe to our channel for more golf simulator content for any more info related to golf simulators please visit our website at www.part2pro.com
