well played out there a round of five under currently tied for the lead obviously very early days but what’s your reaction to that
i’m just so happy that I made so many birdies it’s a very tough course it’s kind of brutal so just plotting my way around the course and uh yeah I made some birdies it was fun
you certainly did you made plenty of birdies so what was going right for you why were you making those birdies was the putter hot was the approaches off the tea you tell me
i think it was more of the approaches so I got a lot of good looks but it’s it’s golf so I was kind of lucky getting my favorite yardages over and over and that makes golf easier so got pretty close and yeah
I mean golf is rarely easy i mean we looking at your career over the last couple of years i know you’ve had a a few struggles you had to go back to Q school so but you must have you must have felt this round was in you that you had the ability to to go and do well at golf tournaments and you’ve gone out there and proved it today so what does that tell you about yourself and where your game’s at
i think just the last two weeks has been pretty good uh just making a lot of birdies i feel pretty confident overall with my game and it’s really fun to go out and actually do it too but I told my coach that I’m I’m pretty confident in my abilities right now but then this course is really scary so I told him that I’m I don’t know what’s going to happen here like if someone would have given me a on the t oh sorry on the first tier round of two over I would have taken it and ran for it so very happy with five under
