Looks like a nice track. What did you wish to discuss?

  2. Titlefightenthusiast

Gorgeous, would have a great time shooting 105 here

There is no gambling at Ridgewood
    “$20 says you slice it”

  4. Saw tiger play at a Barclays tournament there in I believe 2008. Went OB twice off the first tee and was 5 feet in front of my brother and I as he walked off the tee box. Ill never forget it.

Careful man. They’re all dressed proper with their shirts tucked in, you trying to start a riot !?

How many years is the waiting list up to these days?

  7. tastycakebiker

Looks like a lot of waiting on par 3s that day

Top tier course. Got to play there a few times. Wish I could be a member

I’ve always wanted to play here.

I hate being poor and trying to get a tee time at Byrne or Hendricks (local NJ munis for those wondering)

  10. Man, those tee boxes, immaculate .. why can’t all courses have a flat tee box, is that too much to ask?

That looks like a pristine track. Very nice 👍

  12. I’ll be in Peekskill NY visiting family July 11-17. I’d be happy to fill out a foursome there if you need one more

Beautiful course I got to play there once. I used to go to college at BCC which is the “stay right” option when you make a left into the CC. I never had a hook up to play it a second time but always wished I did. Hopefully you enjoyed

Ridgewood….I would imagine the name comes from the fact that a ridge runs thru the golf course (27 Holes) there are some pretty good elevation changes and uneven lies throughout. I went to the US AM there a few years back when Sam Bennett won. They used a composite of the 3 nines. Pretty sweet to walk the course with no ropes. You could walk into the clubhouse where the Trophy was on display. The had a great spread for lunch out on that patio overlooking putting green. Highly recommend the US AM as a spectator. Tough going to a pga event after that.

I used to play interclubs here as a kid from ECCC – always loved it

I’ve heard that you have to actually be a good player to be a member there. Part of the evaluation is playing a round of golf, or 9 holes with a club pro. Can anyone validate?

This club has a reputation of being pretty aristocratic. My Dad and I played here in an outing when I was a teenager. I was pretty excited because I’d never played a course this nice and we also got to take a forecaddy, which I thought was pretty cool.

I’ll never forget after the round, we were standing on that patio and talking to one of the members. He was telling us about the history of the club and how they have “made a concerted effort toward diversity of the membership.” In a voice reminiscent of James William Bottomtooth III, he continued “In fact, we admitted two ‘eye-tal-yan’ families just last year.” My Dad and I could hardly contain our laughter. 25 years later, we still joke about that guy.

That’s fucking ridiculous. About 30x better than the nicest club I’ve ever played

  19. I just recently realized that I will never be able to afford being a club member anywhere in north nj.

  20. I met Phil Michelson at Kinchley’s Pizza down the street from here on my birthday in the early 2000s. I heard an order called for Phil M (Five pizzas) and turned around and it was him. I spoke to him briefly about pizza. He was wearing Puma socks almost up to his knees.

If you look closely enough, you’ll see me shanking a ball over the fence from the 12th hole par 3 at Paramus GC.

    The questions we want answered.

    1. How was the pace of play? In Reddit land you should have been able to walk this course in 2 hours.

    2. How loud did you get to play your music? Unless it’s heard in the next fairway, it doesn’t count.

    3. Was the polo shirt untucked?

    4. Was it frowned upon when you walked into the clubhouse after the round wearing Crocs, socks and your hat on backwards?

    /S

  23. NoviceAxeMan

sad there are so many golf courses i’ll never ever play. damn beautiful private courses

  24. chicagowalsh

That practice putting green setting is awesome. I could spend all day there.

  25. AwareAd7096

Help a European guy out: what happened that the flag is only at half height?

  26. I only get to look at this course from hole 11 on Paramus Golf course. The course looks nice but always empty. The whole road has a few nice spots, even Orchard Hill a 9 hole county course is enjoyable.
