tommy you were fighting all day down the stretch how are you processing the range of emotions well I’m pretty gutted right now um uh yeah couple of like wrong clubs down the last couple felt like um felt like after the start you know obviously didn’t uh I didn’t put great today um you know I put it really well all week um and I I just feel like there was there was a stretch in the bat nine where I felt like I uh that was my time to really take control um left it in the jaws on 12 you know and I was playing really good 14 you know just a bit of a it’s a bit weak that put uh club out on 16 tough up and down and then 18 you know especially after flushing a drive it’s feeling really good uh we got that one wrong and then um you know that long put uh left it in the worst possible spot you know I was right in front of Keegan’s ball um not the best put there either so uh you know things to things to work on there haven’t been in that situation for a long time felt like I did a good job for the most part um probably the worst way to finish you know leading by two with three to play and leading by one going down the last and you don’t even make it to a playoff so um it’s kind of uh the worst way that it could go but Keegan did great uh down those closing stretches the older putts uh he hit great shots um yeah you know got it really so um we’ll just uh go home start practicing again you know tournament start again in a bit what was the discussion in the middle of the 18th fairway just couldn’t get just couldn’t get a track of the wind really you’re obviously you juiced up a little bit you’ve got a bit of adrenaline you just got the wind wrong um when was you know fell in well it was in off the left then it feels like it dies then it feels like it goes off the left you know in between two shots and um just picked the wrong one and then hit one that kind of spun up a little bit up against the wind but went nowhere uh you know like on another day obviously I was kind of feeling like this might be the moment to hold a long one I’ve seen people do it recently so I was like maybe it’s my turn but um did the opposite I puted it so um yeah you know you’ve left yourself in that situation 50 ft or whatever it was you know it’s not a guaranteed two and um yeah disappointing a word for Tommy Fleetwood yeah look you feel for him the guy’s come so close in so many big events look he’s won fairly often in Europe seven times but all those close calls in major championships seven top fives in the majors silver medal in the Olympics top fives in the WGC’s top five in the players championship he’s played some great golf and some big moments uh but unfortunately uh when you’re as good as he is uh you you get burned a lot in this game uh incredibly talented player incredibly popular player uh and he’ll come back better from this if you take out all the positives that there are to take out from this

He’s another Colin Montgomery . A nearly winner. He put the 8 iron back in the bag on 18th and then come up short to the green WHY. ? The long putt was dreadful, hence a bogey. He is really good but struggling to be GREAT unfortunately.
Pure class and true professional.
He’s been my favourite player the last few years…hoping he’d get this one but missed too many putts the final day.
So sad about Tommy’s loss…he must try to beat the mental belief that he hasn’t got what it takes to get over the finish line….
"how are you processing the range of emotions"? … These people have such a convoluted way of speaking
To all you hecklers out there. I hope that you are all feeling good about yourselves Today. That's not sporting it was out of order. It somewhat spoiled a great game of golf. Hopefully the people will be banned from future events. Tommy is such a nice person who people should look up to.
Class act. He was robbed on the last putt.
Have a ton of respect for this guy. He can barely get the words out but he is telling us what he is going through. Pure class. As he says, he will take the positives from this and come back stronger.
Always rooting for Tommy. Such a great guy and golfer. It'll happen.
We’ll keep routing for you Tommy!
I was gutted Tommy did not win this. He is a great guy & golfer – pressure told. Shame he lost to Bradley especially.
Always the bridesmaid. Never the bride. ☹
Go talk to Rory . No one has had it more than him and on majors too . As soon as I saw him change clubs and the whole crowd new it was over . The whole crowd let out a " Ohhhhh " .I never saw that before .
Bradley played great and got lucky sinking that VERY long putt. But Fleetwood left two birdie putts short by an inch – and then got that bad break on the par-3 16th where his tee shot just barely rolled off the back edge leading to a bogey.
I felt very sorry for him, what a way to lose a tournament, bradley is a machine, you won't beat him in a scenario like that. To be honest Fleetwood's last shot was woeful…he gave the tournament away, does he believe he can win a PGA tour event one has to ask oneself…I personally would have ran off the course screaming myself with that totally partisan crowd, I don't know how golfers play in environments like that, a lot of the best players don't make it because of anxiety issues, it's an unnatural scene…there should be more respect shown but the Americans are probably all juiced up on Trumps free beer, they were all drinking beer out of upside down umbrellas I heard and Tommy Fleetwood will do well to recover from it with your man thinking he's superman at the end, all he was short of was a pair of red underpants over his trousers, I wouldn't play in front of rowdiness like that…rejoin the European tour and don't put yourself through the stress of it, I'd say to him, he seems like a humble lad unlike his opponent who is obviously a total egomaniac …
shake it off big dog, you'll have your day!
Bradley had a lot of fortune on that back 9.
His slow antics reading putts were annoying.
Hopefully, he doesn't stink out the Ryder Cup with his antics.
The talking means nothing. Man up.
happened to many golfers. take it positively to win some more. He can win the Open. He has been quite laid down in many tournaments, only this one he was better. but need to improve his driving. best golf swing to watch.
Rory would of been half way home at this point. Take note Rory
He’s still in shock after choking 😂
Won’t recover ever 1:13
U personally like Tommy Fleetwood. Yet, I think he needs to clean-up his appearance. It used to be that Professional Golfers and Professional had to look lije a professional. Unfortunately, even members if the United States Senate and House of Representatives look like bumbs. Sorry, but that's the way I see it. It's no surprise that he has, to my knowledge; any major corporate sponsors. He needs some professional advice anout image. At the end of the day; I really like Tommy, and wish him all the success in the future.
Tommy getting a lot of flack for no reason. Golf at his level is insane. He will win on Pga tour, he was denied in a play off in the Canadian Ooen by a 60 foot putt and on Sunday his putt on 18 skipped and was thrown off line, it was so obvious. He went toe to toe with Rory in Dubai and closed it out. I think his first pgatour victory will be a major. Maybe the Open Championship in 3 weeks.
Dear Tommy:
Sorry for all the wins that have slipped your putter on the Tour.
