this is Lucas Higgins a putt here on the seventh for birdie just the way he couple of good days to start his tournament but beautiful conditions out there running this one nice and low lot of green to work with big greens here at moona linkx and yeah this is his putt for birdie here little left to right up the hill now taking a look at our defending Champion David melozi this was him on the 18th his approach shot had a bit of an up and down weekend he’s had the pressure on him entering as a defending Champion nicely done there no and this for p normally these are gimmies for David but that is certainly not the way he was hoping to end his day with a potential three putt if he makes this one com off uh some back issues and injury and done a bit of cading this year in the US and for David Branson so he’s back playing himself and playing nicely it’s only going with a short IR another beautiful shot you can see Nick already there that little bit of Bounce there’s no there’s no bite in that green at all this will be pretty slow through the ball oh very nicely done oh well really nicely done it’s exactly how nicah used to chip just trying to haul every CH did you try to haul every chip most of them yeah yeah I did like to chip B I didn’t I just that’s a rock solid opening nine for Crawford just one birdie and eight passs here is Cory lamb a long range putt here for birdie he’s been on fire weeks go yeah the big fell um got plenty of game New South Wales open uh played very well at that and he’s continued his form and this is online oh you just want to blow it that little bit more but he is in the thick of this and I watched him a little bit last week at the Australian Open just hit some shots and um there’s no Fanfare to it he plays off quicker than he thought and back down to Ryan 137 blind shot has to pick a tree on a good line again tough to tell whether it’s up yeah not a bad shot some 15 to 20 ft under the hole Cory Crawford from the back of the this 11th green reminded me of a really good mini tour play with that golf swing because he he knows how to get the ball in the hole and that’s what the mini tour players do so well oh tell that’s two chips he left just on the edge wonderful touch from Hong but they grinded out because they know they have to make a score they’re not worried about their golf swing so technique doesn’t matter to them that much and that’s a great way to play the game and Rings played like that last week I know it was probably um the the week we had a lot of bad weather and it the golf course was soft and he’s first buy of the day going of need to get up a bit yeah he took a nice smooth swing with that not trying to put too much spin on it but it had definitely had plenty on it really handy with this club the last seven or eight holes the ones I’ve watched he had that the way lik though Ron he had that club face open so much it’s like he was going to play a flop shot Crawford won’t back up and then you’ve got Anthony qu who had a good week a few weeks ago at the Australian PGA championships he’s had a little 66 been a bit of time practicing one of the great facilities up in Queensland a lot of the tour Pros are there it’s for birdie it just does it with these I like the just the laidback attitude you know to the game yeah this is his three on stronger lofted starting on a similar line this one has some serious height to it drawing a little left of the flag looks really good that’s a fantastic shot using the back slope and the get the ball back on the ground and getting on the right level perfect distance yeah very good indeed it’s a good roll and that’ll get him back to level PA for his round 11 under one within picking it’s a good up and down from the sand and as we go over to McCumber this is on 16 trying to get that shot he just [Music] dropped and a roundabout thank you very much any side of the hole for McCumber [Music] there this one just riding the wind a little left of the FL [Music] yeah that just hangs on to the left hand side and how much courage have you got to start it right [Music] enough this one has started far enough right just depends on the length look a little long down yeah that would look good from him when he walked up the hill big bit of action he would have to start that 20 to 30 M right to actually get it anywhere near the pin now over to Dylan hard at 15 long par here occasionally these will drop and that one just takes an extra roll you feel like he style one there that’s for sure big smile to his face want to keep that momentum flowing really like how he stays still over the ball these guys haven’t got that many holes to play but the wind has definitely cut up the last two holes Crawford here to clean up for his part 14 he’s got the golfers 10 there as we can see beautiful contact out of that Li this one heading for the right hand side of the green beautiful beautiful shot there from Mr Hong Take a Bow as we watch Cory Crawford here so Anthony qu has had 70 seven penalty strikes so he’s currently nine under if he hadn’t had those he’d be 16 under and leading by five watch Cory Crawford here it’s a good role I can definitely say there’s not too many courses on the PGA to like Moon links there’s not got to hit every shot in the book out here I’ll tell you what you know it when you go back to the hotel room after playing moona links in the Australian Open or one of the moona Classics so another solid effort there from Jason Hong anything left and there’s a big sell in front of this green it’ll go all all the way to the front edge he’s leaning as though it’s going a little left oh maybe just a little what a shot that is Into The Breeze this one’s starting a little r of the flag looks really nice it certainly is oh he gave that a lot of air to the left didn’t he probably waiting for a bit of wind to push it he’ll probably take that for well he’s going to have to isn’t he didn’t quite strike the second shot like you intended when the wind conditions get up and we’ve both played here under those trying conditions so Wendy is blowing his glasses off look at that [Music] started on a good line I’ve been impressed with how strong he is if it’s up wow that is the shot of the day right there not use too much of the bounce accelerate and ER on the longside if anything which he’s done nicely yeah I liked how he kept the speed up I like even down Breeze he kept the club moving not the slowing down like the quick back swing with the slow down swing which we see a lot of tiv do very very very tough hang on he certainly has a little bit of a rise back there could possibly do it they get off to a really hot start all of a sudden they’re catching up he’s done that really well great judgment could have easily got away from him on the right hand side
