this is Brooks Kepker’s coronation on 18 here in Singapore And Brooks end in style Brooks Keepka then with two putts here to win Yeah it was special obviously He’s a fivetime major winner and he’s now the first man to win four live golf league titles Precious memories being created here for the kekers You broke the streak buddy You broke the streak It’s nice to have him there and meant a lot to me [Music] Beauty Nice shots boys Right down the me and my brother we go out go play When we were kids it was just something to do right we just wanted to be outside We wanted to play sports do anything Baseball basketball soccer It didn’t matter what it was We just wanted to play sports It’s been good Good family Everybody’s really close gets along and you know we don’t just hang out when we’re on the road here We just hang out when we’re back home as well which is nice But I I enjoyed it My dad was fun to play with and you know it was always something to strive for Whether it be other kids or trying to be my dad there’s always somebody to try to be It’s the walk of a very very confident man Yes Purposeful I think the best thing he did was just let me be me I see it now with a lot of a lot of parents It’s just over coached and you got to let the kid be the athlete If you let them be the athlete first and then be the golfer second I think it it’s a lot easier if you’re too coached I think sometimes they’re too specific You go away from the feel feel of the game And um yeah my my parents I think they did it the way that worked worked for me especially just letting me be me When I was young everything was teed up just cuz my dad wanted to see me hit it far cuz that’s the only way to get a kid interested in the game You’re not going to have fun if they’re hitting it 3 4 feet in front of them But if they at least hit it 15 20 yards when they’re you know 3 4 years old It gets drawn the interest and and they’re excited about it Was there something specific about golf that drew your interest it’s just competition Well at the moment there are 47 players and then there’s Brooks Kepka Just addicted to competition That’s really it It’s pretty simple It’s with any sport you play I was I played every sport till probably about high school and then golf became the main focus and from that point on it’s just about being competitive Bronze ke taking care of business Each day is a little bit different You never know what you’re going to get and it’s what I’m good at Three straight birdies for the PGA champion Brooks Kevka Probably about baseball and this and baseball wasn’t a good enough hitter I’d say it was really bad It was just more talented in golf and that’s that’s kind of the reason the pap went down that way Yeah 6’1 doesn’t really help in in basketball or my size doesn’t help in football So uh kind of limited there Got to be quick man You got bes I mean I’m all right I’m all right but I mean it doesn’t really do me I’m not going to be recruited D1 to go play football anywhere Well I think it’s fair to say that Brooks Keepka is back in top form Golf’s a crazy game It doesn’t matter the golf course You play bad you play good If it’s your week it’s your week Brooks Kepka is chasing history The PGA champion will become the first man to win four live golf titles if he converts a three-stroke lead into victory He’s looked invincible so far but there’s a motivated chasing pack desperate to hunt him down I watch the lead all the time I know where I’m at at all times Know where everybody else is at what holes they’re playing I’m always pretty aware of what’s what’s going on and what the situation is Cam Smith is going to make Brooks Keeper earn his title here in Singapore I can’t do anything about Cam Cam’s going to do whatever he wants to do He’s a good player He’s super successful It helps when the guys in front of you run out of holes cuz the way it’s it’s kind of arranged You’ve got the shotgun and then I’ve got a extra hole to play So they’re running out of holes before I am So if I just hang on to it I’m I’m all right Oh brilliant from Brooks Kevka holding off the Australian challenge here in Singapore I’m just competing against myself I can’t control anybody else So whatever they’re doing doesn’t affect me I’m okay with absolutely losing the golf tournament cuz some guy just beat me The competition’s against myself is how I view it This is Brooks Kepka’s coronation on 18 here in Singapore Can Brooks close it out we’re close to finding out I went right I think right off the tea Laid it up into the rough Oh you wouldn’t blame Brooks for bailing out right but he looked like he’s aiming exactly the same spot that just aimed at Well but he’s bailed out right and then the only mistake you can make was hitting in that bunker over there So he just hit it long and you know you got a back stop here Well he can technically afford to bogey 18 He won’t want to end it like that though It makes it a whole lot easier when you got 8 ft You know you just got to two putt it So but uh yeah it was nice to pull in and uh win by two Brooks Kevka then with two putts here to win You can be shortsided the last few events we’ve played and and be absolutely okay where out here that doesn’t work Brooks Kea He’s a fivetime major winner and he’s now the first man to win four live golf league titles Crew is there the first time So that’s super special It’s something you know I’ve dreamed about Precious memories being created here for the Keers having that moment on the green with with my son Obviously he he made this event The crew has seen daddy win I just want my son to be healthy happy and do whatever it is he wants to do And I’ll be right there following behind him and supporting him in whatever he does But golf doesn’t need to be a priority for him It’s uh it’s his life He gets to choose what he wants to do with it
