nolan Shaw very similar in terms of just reaching base and this one to center field denzel Clark on the move back after he stepped over and makes another catch oh my god backto back weeks where he wins the electric play of the week and he’s already on the leaderboard for this week you go ahead and book it i’ve heard the list i’ve seen the list of the greatest catches you’re ever going to see in your life if you don’t have room for this one on your list we’re watching two different sports i mean Denzel Clark climbs the ladder and then hangs out you want to talk about playing above the rim folks this ball is out of the ballpark by five six feet and Denzel says “Nigh nigh give me that back.” Can we talk about his first step being inward towards home blake started coming towards the ball before he had to retreat and go back dallas this is a guy who’s doing things in the game in his first 16 games that we have not seen in quite some time i mean that’s got to be worth two or three defensive runs saved i know there’s only one guy at the PL i mean my goodness his outs above average is already six which is third best in the American League and he has 15 total games tonight number 16 it is just unbelievable the kind of stamp that Denzel Clark has put on the center field position here in the last couple weeks wow i I just I don’t even know how we continue with this game i just want to watch that over and over again and and there’s a catch and the catch was made by Gary Matthews Jr right up over the wall kind of reaching behind himself almost that catch by Denzel Clark very reminiscent of that but Denzel there with the backhand I mean this is just it’s hard to put into words what you’re watching with this young man one to Mike Trout this one’s in the air to right field and Lawrence Butler will have a routine catch to end the inning i just can’t get over this center fielder for the A’s watch it again enjoy your flowers Denzel

So truly the craziest thing about this is how much elevation he got off one leg WITHOUT a full running start. He was slowing down for the wall and trying to track so def wasnt at a full sprint. Imagine how much his vert is at a full sprint….

Definitely one of the greatest catches ever. Still hard to beat Willie's over the shoulder basket catch but it would be tough to choose between the 2 which one was more incredible.

Ok I'm going to end the debate, this is one of the best ever but not the best catch ever. If you have seen the other catches made in baseball history there have been quite a few better than this one but this catch definitely in the top 20 all time.

Nothing is crazier than watching your teammates go BANANAS when you make a play.
So not to take anything away from that catch at all. That was one of the most insane catches I’ve ever seen. But is that wall shorter than most MLB teams walls? Or did he just make it look short with how easily he scaled it?
