  1. Love this and I’m normally a diy’er myself, especially if I can save some cash, but these are all over FB marketplace for a fraction of the cost for new. I got a cherry wood double stand for $75 ($350+ new). I actually feel bad that it’s in my garage, it’s like really nice furniture!

Props for making this happen though, hope it lasts for years!

I just go on Facebook marketplace for stuff like these. Most people let go of decent stands for $30

Not sure why everyone is shitting on you. Looks great.

  4. AntonCigar

You’re in luck, it’s actually on sale for 219.99

I was about to say the same thing. Went and a bought two sheets of birch plywood yesterday- $85/sheet at Home Depot. $80 at a nearby lumber yard

  6. Don’t pay attention to the sassy comments. Golfers seem to have a fetish with spending a lot of money on silly gadgets. Nice work and probably more satisfying than simply ordering one!

  7. AgntCooper

No way I’m paying $250 for that thing and waiting two weeks for it to show up! I’ll do it myself for twice the price and have it done in three months!

  8. to be fair you search golf bag stand on Amazon and $220 is the highest you can find. most are still expensive like 160, but $220 is far from standard.

  9. Two_and_Fifty

The only problem with these things is it just means you aren’t golfing enough.

Ignore the naysayers, this is cool as! Do you have a cutlist? I will probably try and make this from a bunch of free ikea wood

  11. was gonna do this then u cut 2 pieces of wood and gave up and ordered it on amazon lol

  12. frikkenkids

I hope, according to the laws of woodworking, that you spent at least twice as much on materials and purchased two or three new tools to get the project done. If not, straight to jail.

Glad you like it. Looks like shit right now. Post a fully finished shot.

Very cool. Love doing little functional projects like this. It’s essentially shop furniture.

You’re getting some hate, but they’re ignoring a lot of stuff. This burned up scrap material, allows for customization, sense of satisfaction, and it’s a hobby. There is a joy in the activity itself.

Why would anyone want either of these? That is a massive waste of space. Get a hook and hang the bag on the wall.

  16. As someone who appreciates building instead of buying, this is great. Wonderful work! … but I just don’t understand why these storage things exist. My bag can stand on its own, can hold all and any tees, markers and balls. I mean how many pairs of shoes do you y’all have? Golf is expensive enough to not need 4 different pairs of golf shoes. Am I crazy or is this completely redundant? I’d rather drop $200 on a new wedge or something but I guess to each their own.

Cool! Are you gonna put the little fake grass patch in it? I actually really like that piece

  18. eaglered2167

I’m not gonna lie, I see zero reason for this item or making your own. If you have almost any room along your garage wall and any shelf space you have room for your bag and shoes.

And I say this mainly because I saw an ad for that shelf. I just don’t see what it does that would help me in any way.

  19. Bright_Tangerine_607

This is dope! I can’t build anything like this. Nice work

Looks great man! Im always one to encourage stuff like this. Very creative and the final result is mint.

  21. TassedeJoe22

I picked up a used one for $5 from an estate sale. Had to give it a good cleaning, but was otherwise in great shape.

  22. Illustrious-Cover792

My bag already has a stand that pops out. I throw my shoes on the floor under it.

  23. Brenn2255

A lot of Golf Pro Shops have old stands in the back they no longer use. A lot will just give em away especially those big discount type golf stores.

  24. 0wenCrote

What was the total cost? Been toying about getting a single bag one but they all seem to be out of stock in the Uk (at least ones that are okay pricing)

  25. 1ToGreen3ToBasket

I haven’t even got my second bag full of clubs and 3 extra pairs of shoes yet

  26. HockeyandTrauma

Damn I paid like $175 for that less than a year ago.

  27. rentalredditor

I don’t know. During the season, my clubs rotate between the truck when needed and the garage went not needed in summer. In the winter, basement. Am I the only one that brings the clubs in when it’s off season and below freezing?

  28. Nice work! And I think a few people don’t understand that it isn’t just about the price, the work itself and the feeling of accomplishment once finished is a huge part of this.

  29. Randy-Bobandy73

Yeah, I feel like your time and material costs surpassed 220 dollars here

  30. oandroido

So, are you now making, selling & shipping these for less? 😉

  31. Inside_Jicama3150

Around my parts that’s $300 in 1/2 in plywood.

  32. claycurtis44

I’m used to building stuff myself, but I haven’t done in a while. How are the Wood prices?

  33. That’s awesome post what you sell it for in 8 months when you find out it takes up to much space and everything but your golf gear is on it😂
