what a day What a day I mean you can’t script any better Like so much volatility up and down Water balls Bogeies Bend the out of lead changes A lot of putts were made No one could have seen how it ended There’s no other piece of golf entertainment that’s anything like this The fact it was a blend between creators and professional golfers unique fun competitive Grant Wesley FP myself and Luke you know are used to creating at a live event with five major champions We’re here at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club which is an incredible place uh here in Virginia just outside Washington DC The DS is essentially twoman teams Everyone’s scrambling The DS is great I think it’s fun I think it’s energetic You got golfers that can play champion on the PJ tour suspended And then you got FP Oh everyone good All right Looking at me George You ready All right baby Two one action All right guys Welcome to the DS Virginia where we’re playing for $250,000 Yeah we are We have a fantastic group of gentlemen behind us Quan and Bubo on a team We’ve got Sergio and George We’ve got Grant and Phil We got FP and Henriett myself and John Rom Five creators five major champions here at the Duel Virginia Let’s get right into it Come on There we go My name is Wesley Brian I don’t really know what my profession is at this point I guess I’m a YouTuber My name is George Brian a content creator and defending champion of the DS My name is Nick Stubie fat Perez I am Luke Quan I don’t know my profession I think I’m a YouTuber now Pretty set on the YouTube side of things My name is Mason Nut I’m part of Buster Jack Golf and I’m a commentator for LiveDS Virginia My job title oh my gosh I’m Bubba Watson and I am an ice cream salesman We have some really tough competition in this one The defending champion is Sergio Garcia and George Bryan Wesley and John Rom is a new addition I’m gonna need you today I’m going to need you bad Soon as we got the call that we were going to be getting the DS Virginia my first phone call was to John Rom I said I don’t care what your schedule says You’re you’re my partner Nothing but respect for DJ But John Rom in my eyes has been one of the if not the best golfer on the planet uh since I started playing golf with him years and years and years ago The expectations now are way too high right He was 100% in That was nice It’s a really fun atmosphere right We’re playing for something but uh last we all won the bragging right so hopefully winning and just it’s a fun thing in between friends I I told John that he needs to treat it like a major championship I’m going to walk the line I know when he gets a little fired up if you just crot him in the the right way and he gets angry that brings out the best in him on the golf course at times Luke Bubba Watson There you go Another great team There you go Jackie Good job Yes Playing with Bubba again He’s apparently not tied to me yet So can I change partners Do you want to Yes Are you in any contact with Bubba Uh not really Follow each other on Instagram It’s about it I am Is that like hold on let me ask you following him on Instagram He told me he was going to block me soon I I we felt like my team came up with the idea We felt bad by not following him Yeah So yes Was forced Who do I want Who do I want I mean truthfully you want Grant as a partner because he’s going to get you a lot of views He’s going to make you look good He’s just always smiling right And so I want that But I need that kind of positive energy That’s what I need And Phil’s old so you got to get rid of Phil I mean nobody will know he’s gone Bubba Watson is hilarious And he had more moments than I can count where I was just sitting there and I almost had to like drop the camera cuz I was like laughing so hard It’s a song Old people song Just take a moment Appreciate that There’s just so many good people and so many good players in this I really want to win for Phil too I I think he gets fired up just as much as I do I know And that’s what makes him great There’s like such a level of delusion that’s just worked out his favor for years And I I admire denial delusion all that Together we’re both super competitive Oh partner the bomb I feel like with this group of creators I would say that I’m definitely the the underdog Brian Bros both played tour events Wesley’s won professionally Lucoin’s won professionally and Grant’s obviously an incredible player So I heard a few names float around Doesn’t sound like anyone really wants to play with me That’s the vibe I’m starting to get You know I’m It’s always kind of just here to have a good time for me Who are you playing with this Playing with Henrik Stenson Iceman I uh I’m going to need some of that competition and some of that clutch today for us to have a shot celebrate You know Phil Phil makes himself a very easy target I mean I haven’t really watched you play too much but as well as you hit it I mean you must be a what’s he just he just constantly just needles and needles and needles and needles So the first edition Phil and I did not win And I think today our biggest thing we want to go out there and win this and and play some good golf Oh baby Does that feel good Anyone with those two guys Well Grant I would love I’d be happy for Grant but Phil I just You just know the text that he would fight Like I don’t know if I’d want that Oh boy But yeah we got to keep in the Pride family I don’t want George to win this one No I owe it to John I was the reason I think he’s only missed a few cuts in his entire life I was the reason for one of those Uh really two of them I can’t disappoint him again We have some great lie options John [Music] We had a lot of fun playing that last hole together in Miami and we were like we got to try and recreate that same type of feel We said we listen to our audience For this one all 10 of us are going to be on the same hole together There’s some people that like watching traditional golf There’s some people that don’t and they’ve gravitated towards YouTube So we’ve listened to that feedback and we shot it less TV coverage style more authentic YouTube style We’re going to get a lot more of the banter Man that was both butt cheeks behind that one Almost got to the top We’ve kind of changed our plan of attack on how it’s going to be filmed And we really are listening to what the people want to see Almost And I think that’s the the coolest part about the DS the freedom that we’re given as creators to to create what our audience wants to see Why did Liv start the business I think they understood the power of the creator That lends itself to YouTube quite nicely They get YouTube It’s definitely something that is helping grow the game Definitely a lot more people are getting involved in it and and uh enjoying it That’s what I’m saying I’m interested in YouTube golf because I think the the viewership is people that that want to learn the game of golf They’re they’re bringing new eyeballs to the game of golf And it’s fun It’s showing the fun side of it the entertainment side of it I mean golf is changing the game changing how we see it And um YouTube is the same way YouTube golfers are doing the same thing This video is going to be on Brian Bros channel and Carney their videographer is going to be editing that video which I’m not jealous about That’s a ridiculous edit videos take me anywhere from 30 to like sometimes honestly 40 hours and then this one I’ll be curious to log my hours on the DSEit and see see how much time that takes My name is Christian but everyone calls me Carney and I am the creative lead and director shooter editor Brian Rose Golf Brian Rose Golf is the YouTube channel for George and Wesley Brian two incredible golfers Uh Wesley a former slashcurrently suspended PJ tour player and George an incredible golfer at University of South Carolina Our squad uh Carney and Cam who are our two uh editors shooters Uh but then Sky who we work a lot with who’s Grant Sky when we do major cuts So we’re like a big family when we produce content Sky and Carney are are leading the charge this time around will be exactly like a Brian Bros video and exactly like a Graham Hardy golf video shot with normal YouTube cameras but you have five major champions in one tea time you know and five of us creators and then one whatever you want to count Wesley as I mean pro creator so you can expect it to be what you’re used to and a level up from that I’m Sky Mlan I am Grant Horvat’s creative director shooter editor all the above whatever I need to be that day I did not go to school I end up in this job surely by the grace of God I sent Grant a cold email like 2 and 1/2 years ago 3 years ago Yeah he’s been amazing Like he’s pushed himself He’s gotten so good at editing and yeah I’m really impressed by his work I’m not sure that I could explain my job to somebody that’s over the age of like 70 Every first person’s question is like is Grant a professional And I’m like kind of cuz a lot of people don’t understand it And it’s crazy because there’s such a big impact there for like kids and people that want to get into the game Like one of the biggest things that we see is like juniors actually getting into the game of golf because of this I was blown away when you know Liv agreed to it and they were like ready to push the game of golf forward Liv trusted these creators and what they’re doing for the game of golf Um every team had a chance coming down the last in theory Good at golf In case anyone was wondering the DS Virginia is coming out next Monday on our channel Brian Bros Golf June 23rd Be ready Fun being out there I can’t believe that that can tell you You’re not allowed No winner yet It’s coming out on Brian Bro’s YouTube Okay So it’s it’s coming out on their YouTube Yeah So I’ve got to watch it on there Yeah Oh gosh Monday I got to watch the Brian Brothers channel It’ll be fun Can’t wait Monday
