should be good let’s go find it 602 yd par4 into the wind all right rain dance is showing its teeth par five 752 let’s go all right guys we are walking up to number one playing the Tortis today 8463 8,463 yds from the tips number one is going to be a 493 yard par4 absolutely beautiful let’s see if we can hit a fairway okay guys so they don’t put the tour tes out they don’t want just anybody playing these monstrous TE’s so they’ve told me where they’re going to be so you’ll see me tee up sometimes without tea markers we’re just teeing up from the back tees all right first hole 493 again no driver on the practice range they are not allowing you to hit woods irons only it’s going to be a first driver swing of the day goal here is just going to be to hit the fairway let’s see if we can’t find one here look at that beautiful view first of all quick thank you to Rain Dance and Chris Williamson for having me out can’t wait to play this course let’s find a fairway on one right at that bunker we’ll see if it carries [Music] i think it might have stayed short i towed it a bit but not bad for our first driver swing let’s go find it so guys y’all are going to hear me huffing and puffing one I’m out of shape i know it you know it just ignore it two we’re obviously at elevate we’re obviously at elevation not that high i’m playing again in 2 days and it’s actually at higher elevation than this we’re about 5,000 to 4,800 ft elevation uh the course I’m playing on Friday is at 6,800 so we’re up here it’s obviously a lot higher than Dallas Texas dallas Texas we’re like at 500 feet above sea level so I think we snuck in this bunker here on one not terrible but let’s see what we got yeah we snuck in the bunker not the best but let’s uh see if we can squeeze out a par here so as you can see just in the bunker not terrible good lie still got quite a ways in all right 199 playing 196 so I did some calculations with my foresight before we got here that should be pretty much a seven iron not sure y’all can even see the flag stick from where we’re at but it’s about right here if you can see that tree it’s just to the right of it ball’s going to be a little below my feet probably going to cut just a hair so we’re going to aim probably at that tree nice seven iron here cut in there it’s headed at the left edge and we’re short left not a great start here i don’t feel like I hit that bad it was a little thin which is to be expected out of the bunker always takes a little bit to get used to this elevation let’s go find it biggest thing today goal is to break 80 if we can break 80 from these TE’s I’d be okay with that i’d be happy with it i checked with my handicap calculator it says my handicap out here is an 11 which would mean that I am supposed to shoot about a 83 so if I can break 80 I feel pretty good about it no doubles and no three putts we can do that we’re breaking 80 all right I’m going to place y’all up by the pin here we got a long bunker shot i’m hoping I can get it all the way back here so there’s a pretty big swale about halfway through the green that’s going to kick it forward if I can land it on that swale and kick it up it’ll get up there by the hole i got 54 degree we’re going to square this up and we’re going to try and just barely get some sand and get it over there we chunked it now we got to get up and down stay away from our double bogey ball’s below my feet so that should be fun we’ve got about 8 to 10 ft left for our bogey all right rain dance is showing its teeth bright and early here there goes our no doubles that’s okay we knew this was going to be a tough test let’s go that fires me up biggest thing here is I cannot let that mentally just kill me i’ve got to go in now and just be like like I said let it fire me up be like we’re going to finish this side two over that’s the goal now we double the first and we’re going to finish this side two over let’s go all right guys number two is going to be a par five 713 y little bit downwind there’s not much wind out here maybe 5 to 7 mph we’re going to go straight at that bunker straight away let’s see if we can’t get one back here just play it smart it’s right at that bunker caught really well i don’t believe we can make it to that bunker so let’s go find it where are my T’s lost the one on the first TE got it with the second driver swing of the day we hit one good nice solid straight should be a long way up here at this elevation let’s go see if we can find it i can already tell you guys 8,400 yards almost 8,500 yards and at elevation it’s gonna wear my ass out i’m going be tired we still have 345 yds to this hole but I I ain’t going to hit driver off the deck this early we’re going to try and get as far down there as we can and see if we can’t get a bird but we ain’t going to do something stupid all right we are going to hit fivewood lies good enough should put us about 75 yds out if we catch it good all right ball’s going to be a little above my feet it’s going to want to draw we’re going to aim at that bunker on the right just a little bit just stay down on it don’t fall backwards stay short of it saw a bounce i’m really hoping we stayed short of that bunker let’s go find it we hit it good just stayed straight oh we just stayed out i mean just stayed out a yard 78 yds we got a real opportunity here to get one of those strokes back it’s sitting good i should be able to get on the back of the golf ball here 78 yards i’m not sure if I land this short if it bounces up or not we’re going to play it like 72 yards it’s not going to be a big difference on this short of shot everything short looks like it’s going to kick it right even if it lands on the green it’s going to kick it right so I’m going to aim left of this flag there’s a little bit of wind kind of down and to the left let’s get one back right here 72 yards i got 58 degree go just a little bounce hard ah that uh that rough grabbed it more than I thought first shot out of the rough it’s all right let’s go chip it in good thing is we got a little ridge here if we go a little long it’s not going to go too far past and it may come it may come back a little bit land it let it bounce once or twice in the fringe and then fall to the right all right we’ll take that all right we’ll take a par there on two moving on to number three all right now we got actually a pretty manageable par4 here it’s only 362 on the back te’s absolutely beautiful right now there is some weather supposed to come in later today that’s why I tried to move up my tea time i was originally supposed to go off around 12:30 and the rain is supposed to hit at 1:00 so I called and asked them to move it up we teed off at 8:40 all right guys number three par4 only 362 wind’s a little into off the left there still isn’t much let’s get some oxygen see if we can’t find a fairway get up there close to the green here well we hit it pretty good and it’s right at the green bouncing just short but we hit it a little left stayed in the fairway got a great angle into that pin let’s go hit a chip and a putt let’s go make a birdie only got about 50 yards up the hill just a slight just a little bit pin’s all the way tucked back look like if it’s going to hit it’s going to kick it right once it gets going on the green so let’s see if we can’t put one close ball sitting beautifully in the fairway [Music] i think we’re just off the back but that’s definitely makeable didn’t get a lot of check there which is something again to put in the back of your mind that should have had some check to it didn’t check much there’s a little bit of dew still out so it may have just skidded a little bit but we got a very makeable birdie putt here just on the fringe i thought I hit that perfect it might want to fall to my right just a little bit i think it’s about a cup out i pulled it [Music] kind of came off a little left off that fringe we’ll take another par today pars are our friends for sure but I it just kind of I don’t know if I pulled it or if it bobbled just a little left on me i had the read right it’s all right easy pars will take them all day all right guys number four 587 yds par4 wind’s a little down off my right we got a bunker left we need to stay just right of that bunker [Music] little towy but straight should carry a long way so let’s go find it hopefully it’s in the fairway so the biggest thing that’s going through my mind on these drives don’t try to kill it on a long course like this it’s very easy to get in the mindset of I’ve got to hit this as far as I can that’s not the case play the course don’t play the distance just worry about hitting fairways and greens and I promise you’ll be all right so I’m just swinging my normal swing trying to find the fairway and going from there right in the center of the fairway hitting rangefinders getting it at 219 to the flag stick do have a bunker in front front that’s about 198 to carry again little downhill a little downwind playing 219 playing it’s 232 playing 219 see if we can hit us a good sixiron here aim right at the middle of the green hopefully it draws back just a hair came out right at it just drawing just a slight right on the front left edge rolling to the left edge hey there’s a well struck sixiron we’ll take it we’re putting let’s go my ball landed right here very firm greens a little bit up the hill back into the wind rake well that’s a great two putt and again tap in pars on four 587 yard par4s we will take all right guys so that’s twice that I’ve I’ve seen more break than there is so talking back to those things you put in your head for later in the round firm grains they’re going to release not a lot of check don’t break as much as it looks like good par there again tap in pars will take them all day moving on number five we are playing this one par 4 597 yards last one was a 587 this one’s a little more downhill fairway kind of runs like this so let’s see if we can find a fairway here on number five come on wind it’s a little on the right edge kick left oh yeah we should be sitting pretty let’s go find it guys if you haven’t this this pin is a long way away 261 pen is all the way in the back to clear the creek got about 218 or so let me see we’ll call it 210 to carry the creek balls a little flatter area very undulating fairways going to be a little above my feet going to want to draw for me 261 we do not want to fly at 261 as you saw 237 to the front edge that’s more like where we want to go i think I’m going to hit a 4 iron see if I can roll it up there it’s a little above my feet wind’s a little off the right we’re going to aim right right edge of the green hang on a little it’s going a little left i hit it really good it’s landed short i think it’s rolling up onto the green gosh you can’t see that far all right guys the ball did not trundle as much as I thought it would i thought we would get onto this part part of the green or even back in that back area we are just short so pretty difficult chip you can see the insulation here got to get it up there in that right that correct shelf very tight lie kind of wants to kick everything right as well oh no stop that one checked a little i just nipped it off this tight lie and now struggling for par all right got it going up a little bit right to left might straighten out maybe even break a little right peck at the end break right started to it’s all right disappointing bogey but it’s okay moving on currently sitting three over through five we’re doing all right now on to the par three number six got 197 playing 186 little downhill little down wind all right guys 186 i got eight iron aiming right edge of that bunker right in front pushed it right edge [Music] not my best shot we are down in this little like waist area all right guys i’m not even sure y’all can see me down here down in this little waist area got to get it up the hill see if we can’t hit us a decent chip here a 58 degree get up there hey we’ll take that you saw how much that released i didn’t think I hit it that is what we’re going to need to break 80 today for sure up and down that hill i’m feeling it all right good par there you can hear me i’m uh sucking wind this elevation plus this is a ve very undulating golf course plus I’m out of shape not a good combo if y’all been watching me at all in the past you’ll know that I have recently taken nine weeks off because I had a broken hand and stamina throughout the round is an issue it’s going to be tested today here are number seven par five 617 yards from the tips back into the wind just a little bit not much wind see that bunker there in front of us we want to stay on the right edge of that if we can so let’s find us a fairway here a little bit right of where I wanted but I think it still should be fine in the fairway didn’t catch it great little towy 617 into the wind i doubt we’re getting there in we’re still 302 to the flag stick so we’re not going for it i could nut a 3-wood and wouldn’t get there so we’re going to aim just on the left side of that silo up there that red machinery with a little draw with the four iron didn’t catch it great but it’s right on my line bouncing in the fairway it’s all we can do lay up go make a good third shot let’s go find it all right sitting good prime position here to get a stroke back 81 yards little back into the breeze biggest thing here we do not want to leave this one short 70 yards to clear the brush i’d rather be pass the flag stick then mess with that brush that brings double triple into play so 80 yards a little back into the breeze again not much i’m going aim a little right of it cuz it’s kind of way over on the front left 80 yards sit just a little sit just a little yeah I got scared of that brush we’re on the back edge but we’re safe let’s go see if we can make a putt talked myself into that one i was like do not leave it short do not leave it short well we’re about 15 yards long so downhill right to left and then maybe back left to right biggest thing is pace feels left to right the whole way now simmer okay good pace definitely left to right we’ll take a par take all the pars we can get moving on all right guys i got threewood 262 to the flag stick i’m even right at the center of the green here get up there i think we’re right in the center of the green we will absolutely take that let’s go make a pot well guys we hit the green let’s see if we can make a pot somehow that’s a hell of a par 270 yard par three hit the green with a 3-wood moving on all right guys number nine you can see those flags up there winds off the left maybe slightly in two see if we can’t hit a fairway here 501 from back here we’re going to aim at that bunker see if the wind can’t push it just a little bit to the right oh wind it’s right at that bunker sit i don’t know if it got there or not hoping not hit it decent let’s go find it all right found the fairway did stay short of that bunker we got 199 wind is kind of off my left almost helping a little 199 we want to play for the release looks like it’s in the back we’re going to play the eight iron play for the release 190 to clear the bunker hit it wind just a little little left of it hit it really good just a slight pull guys we snuck in the bunker just pulled it a little left so going to be a tough up and down here kind of shortsided see what we can do here fly is not terrible but it’s not great either sit god it’s going to release oh no two putt from here would be ideal [Music] hey we’ll take that all right that’s a bogey number 10 a 62 yard par4 into the wind it’s about a 2 80 to the fairway so let’s see if we can even make the fairway here it’s fading a little it’s at that right bunker not sure if it had enough with this wind wind’s back into us let’s go find it if we cleared that bunker somehow we’re in prime position i’m just not sure I had enough well guys we did not clear the bunker but we don’t really have a lip issue the problem is we still got 226 to this flag stick into the wind by the way guys we’re going to try and hit a four iron out of here i don’t that lip’s going to be close i got to catch it really good ah pulled the dog out of it sit the conditions weren’t already tough enough it’s starting to drizzle well we got to get lucky and find that one pulled it left there’s some stuff over there so let’s go see if we can find it well guys we got it it’s not good see if we can’t get it on the green two putt get our bogey just get out of here sit just a little sit all right not terrible can we somehow salvage a par here that would be huge all right remember hasn’t been breaking as much as it looks get down there looks more downhill well bogey there on 10 kind of what you expect when you put it in the bunker off the T on a 600 yardd par4 but we almost stole a par there it’s all right let’s keep it going on to 11 guys on to hole 11 energy’s lacking a little bit i’m going to drink a party fuel birdie berries is kind of like an energy drink for golfers basically it helps with your stamina helps with your 384 from the back TE’s and it’s playing downwind it’s uphill a little bit but we’re going to hit driver see how close we can get up there just bouncing left of that bunker should be in prime position let’s go get a birdie let’s go 84 yds all right little down wind ball’s going to release 84 yards we’re going to play like 75 yards maybe 78 yards so this a good one here give us an opportunity haven’t had a lot of birdie opportunities so far 78 [Music] hey that looked decent pulled it just a hair wind brought it back a little bit we should be putting and have a good shot at a birdie here guys by far the best birdie opportunity we’ve had since like hole three we need to convert here little up the hill little right to left just like we love for the righthanders up the hill Brian I know they’re a little quick let’s go that’s huge as you can see that party fuel works i got some energy boys and girls let’s go i realize I just like tiger fist pumped a birdie but today birdies are hard to come by so I will take all I can get trying to get some adrenaline going trying to get that energy flowing here we are par three number 12 217 to the flag stick wind is a little down little off the left 200 to carry the front edge let’s go all right I got sixiron see if we can’t land one on the front edge here maybe a little bit on i’m going aim left of the flag stick wind’s a little off my left carry bounce hard all right we bounced on the front edge I think didn’t catch it great a little towy but we’re okay not my best strike so I thought about hitting seven iron there because it’s downwind but I played for the mit if I hit seven iron I would have been in the ravine down there so sometimes you got to play to the back edge i played sixiron knowing that I had enough to carry if I mishit it and it worked out so let’s go get a par and get out of here all right guys we’re just short good thing I hit sixiron we would have been in the gorge down here up the hill left to right it’s going to kick it pretty good to my right pretty flat once it gets up on top just got to get it up there speed is key here not terrible left myself a decent putt here should just be left edge we’ll take a par and get the hell out of here all right guys number 13 par five 752 into the wind a little off the right blind T-OT we’re just going to try and rip one down the down the T- box here little right should be okay let’s go find it definitely a three shot hole today probably a three-shot hole every day guys just off the right side of the fairway here ball’s sitting okay we still have 350 to the flag stick so we’re going to hit a 3-wood we’re going to try and hug the left side over there everything looks like it’s going to kick right get it down there and then have us a decent approach try and see if we can’t make a miraculous birdie here ball’s a little below my feet going to aim just a slightly a little bit more left keep cutting pulled it a hair yep bouncing down the fairway all right we’re safe didn’t hit it great long as hole it’s okay let’s go find it well guys we left this one in prime position here found a flat area right down the green 107 a little back into the wind pins kind of on the back we got a little room behind 107 again back into the wind probably playing like 112 but at altitude we’re going to play at like 105 i got a 54 degree we’re going to try and bounce this one once and then hopefully it just kind of checks maybe releases a little bit we’re not getting a lot of check on these greens so 105 is my number in my head come on wind damn it pulled it sit man if that was just a little bit right it bounces a little harder and goes forward and we’re sitting real good all right guys a little bit of a double breaker here i’m going to use the putter it’s going to break pretty hard to my left and then should fall back to my right all right we’ll take a par and get the hell out of here 752 yards let’s go all right we got 204 playing 189 cuz it’s downhill quite a bit but back into the wind so I’m going to play a seven iron right at the right center of that green stay there it’s a little left get over it okay we’re over the bunker just left just a slight pull but we’re in a good spot let’s go make a chip in a putt coming down the stretch here got to stay focused got to keep my stamina got to just take my time on each shot this is where I typically start to crumble especially at this altitude i’m winded i’m tired let’s go all right we should be able to putt this it was the right club pretty straight up the hill to be honest let’s see if we can’t steal one here break right oh I went left wow hit it exactly like I wanted we’ll take a par and get out of here ah just a misread i’ll take all the pars down the stretch here all right guys number 15 par 4 541 winds off my right very difficult T-OT here let’s concentrate let’s find the fairway well struck right down the center let’s go get it guys we still got 222 to this one i got five iron wind’s a little off my right let’s see if we can hit this green draw just a little it’s at the right edge it’s on the green not in the best spot just didn’t turn over a little below my feet i think it’s all right well struck just didn’t turn guys we left this one in a terrible spot it’s going to be uh very difficult to putt but at least for putting but I would rather this had taken that slope and gone down there instead it got up got up here on this ridge and now we’re in in trouble see if we can’t get away with it here get down there god it’s downhill so surprised it’s all right it’s a decent lag i don’t understand how that’s not quicker i thought I killed it hey we’ll get the hell out of here with par again couple more holes left let’s finish strong all right guys number 16 par five 594 winds a little off my left little down maybe let’s get some energy here and find the fairway hang on lost that a little right it’s a tired swing see if it opens up over there i can’t get there i’m like 280 out but we’re going to get up as far as we can try and get a birdie on this last one and aim right to the pin ride of the green hang on all right we pulled that one a little bit and it drew not sure what’s up there didn’t hit it great either so let’s go find it guys guys we ended up getting up here pretty close got us a decent little chip here another great opportunity to get up and down for birdie that’s it all right we got to look at it flew that a little far but we’ll be all right great look here guys looks like it’s down the hill left to right just a little bit just like to get over it to feel what I feel in my feet just hit that one way too hard all right guys 17 par three uphill a little bit can’t feel the wind right now i want to say it’s off my right just a little maybe helping i got sixiron it’s probably like 210 so let’s see if we can hit a good one here find that energy two holes left let’s go god it’s got to go hit it like dog [Applause] into the bunker it’s a tired swing it’s a long course we’re at altitude and I’m out of shape i know I’ve said that a few times but I’m tired we got to dig deep here dig deep long bunker shot incoming and we got to get it up here on this back shelf all right let’s see if we can get one up there i got 54 degree i’m going to try and like chunk and run one kind of hey we’ll take that i don’t shaken if you want to play tough spitting slow spitting fast like a roast like a gas think I’m okay at last but I don’t know if that can erase all the past and the pettiness a reflection of the emptiness hilarious you think you’re worth my time you’re delirious mysterious because you are behind a fake exterior inferior you know I’ll always be a bit superior get off of me this ain’t no humble guys we finished in the nick of time as you can see it’s starting to rain i told you some weather was coming in we did it we broke 80 77 we kind of caught fire got some pars on the back had two bogeies one birdie shot one over 37 for a
