so guys I have been working on the game Five out of the last seven days I practiced two hours and 15 minutes The other two days one day I practiced an hour and 15 minutes and the other day I practiced 35 minutes Focusing on the short game right now I have some videos coming up that I am going to get more into the long game But luckily for me I filmed quite a few videos So this video I actually did the data for this golf ball review just 30 minutes ago and I filmed the video a couple months ago but I also have some new content on the way Hey guys Miss Shorthitter here Today I plan on doing one of my favorite things And that’s a golf ball review This ball comes in a bunch of fantastic colors So guys I’m no longer but this drive seems pretty short to me based on how well I hit it 145 to the flag with the elevation Set a six hybrid here and wind’s really not doing anything 145 pins all the way in the back This should be enough club Little right there That’s my balance Locate a ball mark here fixed one but I don’t think it was mine So didn’t hit that ball great Got past the flag Wind was helping just a little So not a not a great shot there but we are pin high Little bit more We do have a nice thick two herolds Today I’m testing the Nitro Ultimate Distance Salt Now this ball has a matte finish which is already scuffed a little bit on the first hole I’ve tested the regular Nitro Ultimate Distance I tested another Nitro ball last fall so I figure why not test out the Nitro Ultimate Distance Soft So listen guys I’m not going to play a Nitro in my next tournament but I do find it interesting You think about how long Nitro has been around and all the negative things that people say about the golf ball How’ they stick around so long Somebody’s buying them You know now I could be fooling myself that this ball actually feels maybe a little softer than that regular nitro ultimate distance Could it be the matte cover We’ll see how far that went because I hit that ball really well And let me see if I can shoot the flag over here Okay so slope adjusted 360 yards Let’s see how far that went Cuz I hit it really good I’d expect that ball to go at least 210 Tad bit of wind into me but I would still expect it Let’s Let’s give it 205 At least 205 because that was a really well struck drive So we had 360 We have 165 So that ball went 195 So it went a little shorter than I would expect We got 165 I’ll go four hybrid here Feel like I should be able to get this four hybrid there again Struck really well Just going left towards the middle of the green And it felt really good off the face there though It didn’t feel overly hard And I say really good That’s compared it again to the other Nitro golf ball Not too bad We’ll see if it carried that 165 though where that four hybrid should have gone We’re just a tad short We hit a nice little draw there We’ll say distance-wise that shot was okay Left to right breaker here Guys today’s video is sponsored by Golf Ball Planet and I’m going to suggest you take a look at their GradeA golf balls At the time of this video you can get GradeA Callaway Super Softs for $10.99 a dozen I recently played some holes with some GradeA golf balls and was very very happy with the performance Gradea A balls are balls that have slight blemishes and they’re typically how a new golf ball would look after one to three holes Check out Golf Ball Planet and save 18% by using my discount code MSH18 Storms are brewing guys So I’m going to try to get a couple more holes in with this golf ball I feel like the drive should have gone a little bit further I think each of those drives should have gone 8 to 10 yards further than they went with the slope here It’s 299 to the flag Should be at least inside the 100 yard marker We’ve got wind going with us here too So maybe 80 yards or so would be a good shot Now we hooked that one Pull hooked it actually So guys we’re a little past 100 here but I find something a little strange 97 yards So again went a little shorter than I would think with that type of strike Pretty close Within 10 yards for sure Now the last drive and this drive both felt like they were going further left than they ended up The last drive I thought I hit down the left side of the fairway and ended up in the middle of the fairway This drive I thought I pull hooked it and it’s just maybe four yards off the fairway here So uh if it goes a little straighter that would be definitely a positive So 97 yards Winds helping just a little I’m going to take a pitching wedge take a little off of it [Music] pushed it out right a little bit Now I couldn’t see that ball land to know how far it rolled out but it go a little further than I thought it would have [Music] Hell chip than that [Music] Feelwise I can say not bad for a night So I think I’m pushing my luck here with the storm guys So we’re going to play one more hole here Rain is coming 202 I’m going to go with the mini driver Rain’s blowing right to left a right at that big tree through the green [Music] That really good Going towards the left side [Music] As always I’ll compare this ball to a Prov1 We don’t expect a Nitro to perform the same as a Prov1 but I like to keep the test all the same So when you look at the data you can always go back and see how each ball fares um or compares to the same golf ball So the Nitro Ultimate Soft launched about 10° higher than the Prov1 And we pretty much always see that with the cheaper golf balls and the cheaper covers a real higher launch They just kind of pop up in the air from 50 yards And we also see a big decline in spin In this case 3,400 spin from 50 yards So that is one of the probably the least amount of spin that I’ve seen from a golf ball at 50 yards The descent 6° steeper and a peak height 3 yards higher So those two things will help the golf ball stop a little bit quicker than otherwise With the 7iron the Nitro had the same ball speed launched about a degree higher spin about 100 RPM more The descent two degrees steeper peak height two yards higher carry two yards shorter and the total was four yards shorter So pretty good performance there with the 7iron With the driver the Nitro had about 3 and a half miles per hour less ball speed launched about two degrees higher spin 200 RPM less the descent one degree steeper peak height one yard higher and carry 5 yards shorter and total six yard shorter I think the simulator always gives me quite a bit of roll out I would say on a normal golf course that would be 10 yards shorter on the roll out So we’d expect those numbers to be closer to 230 to 236 which is higher than my average driver distance All right guys I need your help to keep this thing going So make sure to turn your notifications on so you don’t miss an upcoming video And if you enjoyed the video like comment subscribe Until next time Mr Short Hitter out Just play 13

Ahh, the fathers day special ball😅
My friend hit a Nitro with my Scotty Cameron. I had to throw the whole putter away.
Thanks MSH. "Hit'em straight"
Between working, practicing, playing and making videos, you must not sleep.
As always a helpful video. I used to play Noodle as the price was cheap. But presently use Callaway SuperSoft. One day maybe you can do a comparison between the two fairly close priced balls. Have a great day Mistah Short Hitter
Fun video, thank you
Their only selling point is cost. I played 9 holes with a nitro distance late last year and I was consistently 10 yards short and not particular soft around the greens. They are less than a $1 per ball. I bought a dozen and in the winter I hit them into the woods behind my house and then for exercise I try and find them. I hit 11 into the woods last winter and found 10 so that's not too bad. I'll do it again this winter. I now play Legato and I really like that ball. It's not that much different from ProV's
Never cared for the Nitro. As your comparison results showed, it was shorter and not enough iron shot spin. Yours was the first review of the Nitro I've watched. Good work!
I find Nitros on the course a lot. You are right. Somebody plays them. LOL
Another gem as usual. A few days ago as I was binge watching MSH videos I posted a comment on this interview
https://youtu.be/dKqBT7iRfoM
As part of the comment I asked about the bunker simulation product you referred to. Apparently it wasn't all that it was advertised to be but you piqued my interest. Can you explain what it was and how it worked?
As for golf balls, I have a friend who moved to the Boca Raton area about 10 years ago. He is irritatingly FANATICAL about picking up lost golf balls. He said it's seldom that he doesn't find a pocketful of Pro V's whenever he plays. He frequently finds them in the first cut and especially near the water. Somewhere I have a picture of his stash of balls that he stores in 5 gallon water jugs.
With that much time practicing and playing, the divorce must be going well. 😊
I was playing Wilson, now playing Nitro Crossfire. They feel just as soft. I was playing the wilsons at $24 for 24 and playing Nitro crossfires at $28 for 45. I am completely happy with the Nitro Crossfire. Just as soft as the wilsons, and fly just as well. Anyone playing in the 12-20 HDCP will not notice a difference when playing the Nitro Crossfire vs a ProV1. Best part is they come in dayglow orange so easier for my old eyes to see.
Hello from south of Dallas. Love your videos. Your swing is pretty decent as well. Keep the videos coming.
Somebody is playing this ball, but nobody seems to put much effort into finding them because I find them all over my course when I’m out there playing. They go straight into my driving range bag.
I just found your channel . I enjoy your reviews . Keep the videos coming . Thanks
I use the Calloway Super-soft on par 3 & 4 and Titleist Velocity on par 5. My preferred ball is Calloway due to a slow swing.
I personally use the Mulligan sets from Walmart. Usually a ragtag combo of old Wilsons, Callaways, Srixons, and Nitros. Budget friendly, cant complain.
I used a nitro when I 1st got back into golf about 4 years ago. I had a wicked slice for a while. I think I went through about 6-8 dozen and never bought them again. I will still use one if I find one on the course as a water or OB hole.
I now use softer balls, one of my favorites, all have to be yellow. Wilson duo soft, Wilson distance, Callaway super soft, Pinnacle distance, and the Taylormade speed soft.
I have been searching to play one ball. Currently it’s the Wilson Duo Soft. I used this ball and my new Cleveland hi-bore lite driver and fell just a few yards (7) of the longest drive in a recent tourney. Had it been on hole 18 I probably would have won it. That drive was just under 285.
Thanks for the video.
I play Nitros because I only play a par 3 (965 yds). I play them because they come 15 to a box and less than a buck a piece and they're tennis ball color. I think green but sometimes they look more yellow.
I once played a Nitro for a round (found ball…not purchased). Felt like I was making horseshoes in a old west foundry! 🙂
Try the Wilson Staff R golf balls. I’ve switched. More distance with every club and great spin around the green
I find a several of these particularly at one certain course I play. I usually see them in very out of position places, which means I’m also out of position when finding them.
Great channel, enjoyable videos.
For the last year I clean my local 9 hole course of golf balls in the dark. I turn them in after cleaning unless I find a new to me ball. Then I test them before turning them in. About 5% are Nitro balls and that means they are popular. Just not for me.
Thanks for the ball review!
Thanks for the video. I only use Nitro if I find one. Usually use it on the range only. LOL!
I've played so-called cheap/crap balls and expensive/elite balls. Call me crazy but I think it's fun getting used to each one and learning to dial them in after a few holes. The only balls that I think are total garbage are the used ones that have become so worn down, scuffed and/or cracked that they fly like uncorked balloons. Some of the Nitro balls actually look pretty cool to me. The glycerin ones with the little flower on them put me in a Miami Vice cool cat mode. Never had a problem with them in any area of the game. I especially recommend them for beginners and kids who tend to spray balls into the woods. My nephews have no concept of money and when I tell them to look for the balls they hit into the trees they just say, "nah." Until they learn balls aren't cheap, new Nitros are the cream of the crop that they're gonna get from me.
Great video
Had a bad round today and lost 3 balls. I wish I would have been playing Nitros.
