starting pitching has been the story of the season so far for the Chicago White Sox First three starters have not given up an earned run in 17 innings pitch Let’s see if Martine Perez can keep that streak going Martine Perez’s first pitch swung on grounded to short And that’s how you get it started One pitch one out to start this ball game Here is Carlos Kareah batting in the two-hole A short stop for the Minnesota Twins He has had a slow start to the season 0 for1 11 with a strike out and a walk And a snag at short by Amaya to keep Kareah hitless this season Now here is Ryan Jeffers who was dhing today Fly ball left field Taylor drifting back in front of the warning track and a one two three inning to start Chris Paddock last season 17 starts Second half of the year had a shoulder strain missed it He’s added a couple miles an hour to that fast ball but the question will be if the change up is going to be there What an at bat by Miguel Vargas Eight pitches eventually lining it into center for a single That will bring up Luis Robert Jr Three out of 11 so far This one bounced and Vargas is off No throw down to second Good awareness at first base from Vargas Well you’re right about that John because he took off as soon as that ball hit the dirt Here’s the payoff outside off the plate Another great at bat Two quality at bats from the socks to start this game Now the heart of the lineup It’s Ben and Tendy with two on and nobody out Two on nobody out To the right side Chance for Mickey Gasper He’ll take the out at first as the runners move up There’s second and third now for Andrew Vaughn with 10 away Got him over Now next man can get him in It’s this one hard deep to left field Back at the wall and it gets out Andrew Vaughn a threerun shot on his first homer of the season and the White Socks jump out ahead 3 nothing in the first inning That’s a way to hit it out today A line drive rocket Castro went back but couldn’t get to the fence quickly enough and that one was gone An early lead for the Socks This is a cutter that doesn’t do much Stays over the middle of the plate and Andrew who has been hitting the ball hard We told you that Continues to hit the ball hard and this time there’s no defenders in the way of it Thice is out number two Now Lenin Sosa and got the call there off the corner at 95 Inning over and the splits with France Morning last year pretty even Hit hard and scooped up by Vargas The long throw right on the money for the first out here in the second inning Two outs in the Twin second Nikki Gasper the switchhitting second baseman will bat Swing a miss Strike three Oh he came right back with a change up A lengthy first inning delivers a first pitch to Janowski Janowski with a bunt toward third Bare-handed pickup by Miranda It is late That is a bunt single for Travis Djanowski to open the inning That was a terrific bunt Michael A Taylor hits this one to left field and a single for Taylor The first two on board here in this second inning So Vargas walk second walk for Paddock The bases are loaded with one out and Luis Robert Jr is the hitter Infield stays in Luis Robert Jr swings at the first one Highf fly ball left field It’ll be Castro underneath Makes the catch Tagging his Taylor He will score and the White Socks take a four nothing lead in the second inning First run batted in this year for Luis He got a pitch he knew he could hit in the air And Paddock not out of the woods yet Benit Tendy will bat with runners on it first and second in two outs Benitendi puts a charge into this one right field Bader looking up Get out Ben and Tendi 100th career home run as the White Socks jumping all over Minnesota here in the second inning It’s a 7 nothing lead Paddock left a change up right there on a te for Benindi Well we didn’t think this lineup was made up of home run hitters and they’d have to start manufacturing some runs But we’ve already seen two bombs today and Martine Perez has faced the minimum He is looking good to start this ball game Strike three looking Perez is on point to start this one You know you usually like to see high sinkers and I don’t think Martine wanted to throw it upstairs but he got it there and it had the whole plate Harrison Bader new twins popped up infield Everybody’s charging in Vaughn calls it off And how about that some communication here in 2025 Christian Vasquez 0 for three to start the year Bottom of the order for the Twins is Vasquez eye in the air to left field Taylor underneath Perez breezes through the third He is not allowed a base runner That’s a leadoff walk and there are two away and it’s up to Michael A Taylor Taylor smokes this one center field looking up is Buckton and it is gone Michael A Taylor his first home run of the season It’s a two-run shot Third home run of the game for the Socks and it’s a n nothing lead in the third inning Taylor with his first home run and first runs driven in of the year gets just enough of it Buckston goes all the way back to the wall We’ve seen him make catches like this before He leaps up His timing is great but it’s just over the glove And the starter Martine Perez has faced the minimum Steve he’s been really good So Buckton is out It’s Edward Julian and Julian will line out to right field for the first out here in this fourth inning 10 up and 10 down for Martin Perez Deshawn Kerzy Jr going to hit for Korea Swinging a miss Strike three on that change up Third strike out for Perez And there’s ball four And there’s the first base runner for the Twins today A two out walk And the batter is going to be Ty France And that hits him So Ty France hitting the elbow He’ll take his base So two on without a hit All coming after two are out Miranda Yes sir Four strikeouts for Martine Perez And it’s low And that’s a leadoff walk Castro Another switch hitter Popped up right side Sosa drifting over And there’s the first out in the fifth inning Here’s Harrison Bader There is strikeout number five for Martine Perez He goes upstairs and he gets him There’s that back door cutter that we’re talking about Bader trying to protect He realized that there’s a good chance that one had a piece of the plate Martine is ecstatic And now it’ll be number 98 Christian Vasquez Blew it by him with the cutter Six strikeouts for Martine Perez Twins without a hit through five Edward Julian gets his second at bat here One-two pitch here to Julian Swinging a miss on that change up It has been a filthy pitch for Perez today Well especially getting cutters over the plate on both sides That change up looks a whole lot better And this is perfect Here is Kirsty the bat Eight strikeouts for Martine Perez Just dealing in his White Socks debut There’s another one of those sinkers again It starts over the inside corner Watch where it winds up It’s right under the hands of Kirsty and he’s got no chance Two out walk That brings up Tai France got him looking for strikeout number nine Three strikeouts for Perez here in the six New pitcher in the ball game and Martine Perez is done for the day Did not give up a hit and he’ll turn it over to Mike Vassel making his major league debut The 2-1 and he hits a highf fly ball into left center field It’ll be Taylor from left to cut across in front of Djanowski and he has it So one down for Mickey Gasper now hitting left-handed Rounder funky hop played by Amaya And the Twins still without a hit with two out here in the seventh Two up two down Willie Castro checks in line to right field and there is the first Twins hit And Willie Castro will stop there So the Twins were being no hit through six and two/3 And now that is over Wasn’t exactly Dylan Cece on the mound Two down ninth inning Luis Arise at the plate a couple of years ago but still you don’t want to be no hit Certainly never against a rival And Castro picks up the first Twins hit here in the seventh inning That brings up Bader 1-1 Hit hard on the ground One hopper to short Ma’s going to throw to first and it’s in time Mike Bassel with a scoreless first major league inning Two outs Ninth inning Baders 0 for three Twins down to their final strike Fans on their feet The 2-2 Two And I get some swinging What a performance by the Chicago White Socks A 9 nothing win to start this series against the Twins

  1. Born a white Sox fan…the starting pitchers are dealing….. Even though the Angels aren’t world beaters, and it’s a long season….its still instantly more watchable than last year…

  2. Rigged and scripted by sportsbooks. Another game that they pull a pitcher when on a no-hitter. Another game they pull players after only 2 at bats. Betting controls all sports. Welcome to capitalism.

  3. Although I'm a Yankees fan, it's nice to see the White Sox trying to do better than last year.

  4. No April Fools! >> The White Sox pitching staff is #1 in the MLB with an 0.75 ERA! ⚾⭐ After during the historically bad 2024 season, that stat gives me a reason to smile! 😄

  5. My Sox are playing competitive ball to start the year it’s refreshing after suffering for so long lol Venable has this ball club moving in the right direction

  6. I'm already sick of the Twins, and we're only 4 games into the season! Coaching changes, sure, but they failed to change where it matters … at the HEAD! GM and Manager should be the two who get changed! Maybe it's time for the Twins to be sold and go somewhere else 'cause Minnesota just doesn't know how to win in baseball.

  7. Let’s hope for a prosperous season! I was a little disappointed the last 2 games when they dominated 8-1 the first game. Hopefully the next 2 games against the twins they will win.

  8. Twins looked terrible in spring training and have carried that right into regular season. Worst team in baseball

  9. Gotta say, I expected us to be 0-4 by this point, 1-3 at best. But the starting pitching, and surprisingly our hitting, has been a nice surprise. At least to start the year, that is

  10. How are you not going to let a 32 year old soft tossing finesse pitcher not go for the no hitter? He's not some 21 year old with no service time who throws 100 that you're trying to protect. I hate this new era of first few starts give us 4 to 6 innings.

  11. Idiotic commentators cannot read that the W-Sox starter PÉrez has the first E accentuated and must not be pronounced PereÉz, but PÉrez. Take the trouble to pronounce surnames as they are, not as your parochial mind tends to do it.

  12. After being a Sox fan since I was a kid I am so happy this got to be my first ever stadium game. The whole family loved it I can't wait to go again. :}
