if you’re struggling with a big slice off the tea it might be your setup with the driver we’re always told to play the ball off our front foot but when we do that how are you getting the club to the ball if you’re someone that just turns your shoulders to get the club to the ball well that does a few things if you see it from this angle if you turn your shoulders so that the club gets to the ball now my shoulders are aimed way left of target what I like to see all my students do is instead of turning their shoulders towards the ball I like to see them tilt their shoulders away to get the club to the ball that way you keep everything on plane another way to do this is just put your right hand as a right-handed golfer on your trail leg and just have it go down to your knee and when it hits your knee you stop that keeps everything on plane and as you can see from this side again just doing that little tilt everything is now on plane straight with it and now I can just do my normal takeaway and swing and I won’t have that over-the-top feel already ingrained in with the improper setup
