hey guys welcome back to Modern Golf hope you’re having a great day and as we say better week last year we did a review of a kind of top 10 or so of our favorite golf shorts uh for the season uh for a lot of us our weather has been so poor um that I want to kind of wait as we kind of got into a little more warmer weather so we’re getting started again top 12 of our favorites uh budget friendly pull-on version traditional really everything you would want in a list for the top 10 golf shorts we are going to cover so let’s not waste a lot of time we’re going to give one pair as an kind of honorable mention and get through this list pretty rapidly these are from Bonobos uh Highland Tour golf shorts not inexpensive right around a h 100red bucks normally they’re 119 wait till they have a promotion one things I like about Bonobos is they have this rubbery strip in here uh they also come in a ton of colors i think there’s like 15 or 16 colors in two different lengths an 8 in this happens to be the 10 in i’ve had these for a number of years probably on three or four years they’ve held up incredibly incredibly well so for honorable mention the Bonobos Highland Tour and I’m not going to say these are 10 through one we’re just going to kind of randomly say the ones we’ve tested and what we like and kind of what we like about them lynxole and these are the Boardwalker shorts currently you can get these for about 45 bucks uh they’re normally around 85 bucks incredible shorts these come in in a couple different lengths which I like a lot of different colors they also have which I don’t know why this isn’t standard a zip back pocket so when you’re not playing golf uh your back pocket doesn’t sag if it doesn’t have a button really like these has some very cool features a little rubber stamp here in the back a little secret pocket if you are an Arcros player and you use that system and you have the little thing you put in your pocket this is a great little pocket uh to put it in uh but again one of our favorites not the least inexpensive these run true to size uh so if you’re a 33 in waist and a lot of pants get a 33 um and they run very true to size the next one up is one of my absolute favorites uh I I think if I had to pick one pair of shorts that I would go to all time this would probably be them these are the Peter Mar Salem Performance i absolutely love these shorts they just fit incredibly well again I went true to size they don’t have a ton of fancy features little detail here in the back uh button pockets a couple different lengths although I think this is a standard I think eight or 9 in uh I think I don’t know if they still come in two options i think there’s a standard now um again go true to size i’m probably in between a 33 and 34 uh in pants and shorts i went with 34 they fit great absolutely love these wash these up uh incredibly well i you can line dry them or throw them I just throw them in a dryer sorry Peter Malar um but they’re really great again I think it’s an eight or 9 in uh inseam i’ll put it up as we go but one of my favorites the Peter Mar Salem performance shorts a new one to this list this year Vari v U O R I Vui uh the These are the Meta Shorts these are an 8 in uh I believe this is an 8 in fantastic material love the hand of this this is more of I would say a midweight this is not an ultra lightweight short very comfortable again for these I have to go down a size so if I’m 34s and the other ones I go to 33s absolutely love these one thing I like about them the pockets back they don’t have magnets but they kind of snap back uh which I like again very comfortable uh like the materials like everything about these and again these are right around uh the 80 to $94 range so not inexpensive by any means a pair that I’m going to put pictures up that we just tested um Kohl’s has a line from uh for a series for golf called LX i think it’s Flex um and these shorts I’ll put pictures up we’ve tested them mine just happened to be in the washing machine sorry i know I should have timed this a little differently um $22.39 coming i’ll put all the colors up here phenomenal fit absolutely love these a little I would say on the trimmer side not not super trim fitting but a modern fit absolutely love those and again for 22 bucks they are a home run one of the other pairs we’ve been testing this year that I think these may be the lightest shorts uh of all the ones we’ve tested and these are from our friends flag and anthem these are called the range shorts these are an 8 in inseam they also come I believe in a 10 um I don’t think they go to a six some great details they have rubber uh that same kind of rubber piping although theirs is kind of built in with their logo uh I will say these run true to sizeish i would say if you’re a 34 get a 34 very lightweight i mean extremely lightweight these are light gray almost looks kind of khaki to me has a little logo here again I think the standard should be buttons or some type of closure here for the back has a very unique kind of um I want to say hook and loop but the way uh the closure is for these really like these get another little secret pocket for your system or your keys or whatever you want to put in here absolutely love these normally $59 they always run promotions uh but really one of our favorites this year and that’s by Flag and Anthem so one of the crazes um that we’ve been hit this year is everyone says Lululemon you got to get the Lulemon so we’ve tested a bunch of Lulemon and I found a better option than Lululemon’s own shorts and I’m going to put pictures up now this is one you can get on Amazon or directly from them it’s called CRZ and I’ll put all the information up these are right around 30 bucks i like these because it has snaps on the back pockets very comfortable what I will say especially with this version this year cuz I wore them last year as well you have to go up a size so if again if I’m going to base myself as a 34 in waist go up to 35 or 36 they ran very small this year but bang for your buck an incredible incredible short so a lot of the comments we get and really from last year and there’s I know a number of brands that are doing it are “Hey Jeeoff I want to pull on athletic short what do you suggest lululemon comes up um Aloe comes up we want hey a short that can kind of do it all i’ve tested God knows I don’t know how many pairs this is my favorite again another pair from CRZ Yoga under 30 bucks incredibly comfortable no back pocket so if that’s a a a deal buster for you I get it but does have a fake fly here so they look a little more professional or dressed up these are great for pretty much anything from pickle ball to golf to working out in i mean wear them casually again under 30 bucks uh come in a couple different inseams i believe these are 8 in maybe 9 i I’ll put the information up as we go love these for this for sizing uh I go to a large i think their sizing suggests 33 to 35 get a large that’s what I did they fit fantastic but again for around 30 bucks these are as good as Llemon quality um and has some really nice zipper details again has a little secret pocket here for your keys or your system or whatever you want to put in here but again if you want more of that athletic pull on let’s say you’re going just play nine holes with the guys you know on a random Tuesday night or whatever night um and you just want to wear something casual an awesome I love these i have this in about five different colors but again I’ll put all the information up it’s CRZ yoga and this is the greatest stretch um that I have tested in any really any short in a long time but really really like the CRZ yoga another newcomer this year which has kind of been crazy how many great brands there are out there and this is by Sachs SAXX um we had tested uh some some of their products in the past they came out with this called the Caddy Short i believe it’s an 8 in inseam although they all say 8 in and I be I’ll be honest with you they all a little different um this is a graphite color right around I’m going to pull up the price right around 79 bucks they also run promotions so check that out again I have no affiliation with any of these brands um so you can do what you want has again that rubber gripping in here in their logo which I love a little bit more of a stretchier waist which I like personally again the things I would I would say knock on this pair of shorts is I would like some type of closure like a magnet or zipper or what have you these run very true to size i think I got a 34 in these yeah and these ran and these ran great again a nylon elastane kind of material super lightweight super durable love this and I Sax is this is one of my new favorites for the year but if you’re looking for a great pair of shorts Sax is another one so a couple left and then we’ll get out of your way and you can go shop for shorts one of the pairs that we get talked about a lot is Public Wreck we did a review a number of years ago for them on their pants and shorts and really all their apparel and I love I’m wearing um Public Wreck as we speak i love their stuff so again if you’re looking for an athletic pair that kind of can do it all let’s say we’re trying to stretch your budget a little bit the they used to be called these the everyday all day now they’re called something totally different uh but these are great and one of the reasons I like these is they have zippered side pockets so you’re not going to lose all your stuff as you go this is more of a um terry kind of feeling uh again a midweight not super lightweight but has great pockets i’ve worn these for golf i’ve literally done everything in these um great shorts i’ll put pricing up i think they’re right around 80 bucks not cheap but I’m going to tell you and again I have no affiliation with Public Reg whatsoever you get a lot of bang for your buck with Public Wreck again these are probably I mean if I had to guess six or seven years old and they look like the day I got them they hold up really really well and they have a thousand different colors so last but certainly not least on this list and this is a short that I have no idea where it came from um and I know the brand but like I’m not sure how I end up ordering this i think I probably meant to order something else um end up ordering this from Voari so I ordered these from Booeri these are the fleet shorts these are maybe my favorite this year again right around 90 bucks not inexpensive i understand but I want to show you some features that I really really liked about these so standard open enclosure it has a tie in here so if you really want to snug these up you can do that sizing wise I went true to size oh no i didn’t with this for sizing you go down one you can almost go down too i’m normally a 34 traditionally it’s just kind of the baseline for me these are 33s i also have them in 32s that don’t fit much different from these um but some features I really like about these ultra lightweight uh this color is called cocoa if you’re on their website looking for these they come in a couple different inseams they have a bunch of little pockets here again another little secret pocket here on the side the back pocket I love is a full zipper there is no left butt cheek um pocket so if that’s a a no for you I understand but again absolutely love these one of our favorites has just a little logo on here u but Vori is really coming strong with their golf and they have a lot a lot of options out there so I know people are going to say “You didn’t do this brand or that brand or this brand.” There are literally hundreds of brands of shorts out there obviously and so we tested the ones that we’ve gotten the best feedback on the ones that we’ve tested that we really have enjoyed and haven’t fallen apart and also weren’t $150 and above um so you
