[Music] go on then yeah so we’re here today at Billing Bear Golf Course um you’ll see we have no microphones today with a technical error um which has been the first time actually it’s all been fitting well so far but um yeah so might not be a lot of audio on this on this video um and what we going to play today guys where we can We’re playing at Billing Bear Golf Course in Woken and Wayish uh playing the the new course it’s par three course really short um we’re going to play something today i don’t know if there’s a name for it i kind of made it up a little bit uh each hole has got its own points so I’ll put the holes into a random number generator and hole one I’ll put it up on the screen and you’ll see which hole is worth what points so at the very worst if you’re on a seven eight nine point pole the worst you’re going to want to do is draw the hole otherwise you’re going to be out of it straight away so let’s see how we get on and am I am I going to know the the box uh yeah i’ll read all right yeah so it’s a short one it’s only 105 yards from here so what have you gone with got nine iron he’s got a nine iron i’m having to commentate of what he’s saying because you’re not going to be able to hear him because he ain’t got a mic on so he’s got a nine it works it’s going to roll over the back I think in my head that doesn’t look really good i I regret not using a T there yep absolutely should have used a T i definitely want to stay right at the green yeah so it’s going right yes oh it looks lovely guys long it’s a little bit long yeah all right all right so I’ve just reminded Bones that this hole is worth six points if you told me after we teed off so obviously I teed off better so he is Where are you you You’ve rolled off the back as well haven’t you so you’ve rolled off the back and I’m also off the back somewhere he’s all right but we’ll see but at least we ain’t in the bunker fairways yes what mate we’re in the middle of Howell far have I gone is that me where on the path yeah that’s you sure are you kidding i think that’s so Gaz’s currently on the path you decided that Yeah we’re arguing about to drop a shot for that but anyway this leave it short or it’s going straight over the back yeah I can’t wait for it to go in the trees bloody beautiful guys fantastic six points that kick wasn’t six points in play kick wasn’t tight at all yeah today is about putting that’s where we won and lost it the other day so this is the par so we’re going to try and play polyg yeah put it in so I think we have to have a little gimme there i mean that that flag there ain’t no gimmies in this game oh I mean I can’t send the flag come on oh what a shame say if it hits the flag I’m happy oh he’s put the pressure on sper’s got the six at the moment gaz’s got two putt to draw the guys have got to live as close it’s a ple it right lip piece is slow that’s it it’s a draw points each hole two is 106 y the pin off the mats lovely really really short 106 yards to the pin see that looks much closer than the other hole 105 and this hole is worth eight points so we have the hole last time we both get six points and you’re going to want to be doing the same on this hole because you do not want to be eight points behind trying to catch up all right so you got nine iron yeah nine iron you te that up by Yeah can’t get to you right you know you’re right if mom was straight that would have been well all right distance live shot was perfect get down get down get down left is it Is it got back left didn’t got a bit of a nasty lie what you using pitching wedge just to get some well that’s part of G is going for a walk i’m going for a walk he um Yeah I think he thought it was a par four i see the top here keep on the boy yeah got my eight points here you got I’ll have two yeah there’s no You Do you want to just Yeah perfect but that’s a really good shot actually so if you saw that lie the way that was lying that was almost impossible fifth shot now just to remind you this is a part three i just say it now um this is the one time I’m allowed to be arrogant that’s a good hit mate gaz is putting that input six technically seven i saw that bonus car and the hole it’s got four shots to put it in one two three so Bon has just won this hole shocking from me yeah this isn’t good so he’s now eight points ahead i didn’t level the hole so he’s eight points up which could me for the whole round yeah this might mean it gazes this one yeah I can’t look out is straight through there quite a tricky Oh actually and this is only worth one point wind i would say I might be back in it but it’s only for one shot one point the points card see what the rest of the next holes are looking like you got it mate that’s in the lake mate made it through said it all the way right so Gaz’s second shot wedge cuz he’s Lovely shot there going in it so what was that your fourth Right I need to get this on cuz this is my third shot that was bonus fourth so this is his fifth i just need to get it near the hole and just try and play smart and get some points back so I’m pling as as this ground is there’s a lot of on the floor there mate go for it you have to really bash his art get it on or near tell you what that that was a good effort there mate it’s my fourth yeah guys what a hit it’s playing for five he’s in for six so we’ve got a hole and a half here just straight over the lake 142 y you got seven there guys yeah we’re both going sevens people watching us don’t cook it oh my god what’s that i’ve launched it so I absolutely launched that it’s gone about 30 m past the hole i’m going to stick with my club choice cuz I want the elevation and I can hit it quite nicely but I know I’m going to get this he’s safe oh my god oh my god right next to the pin right so we couldn’t record cuz we’d uh some people had let us play through but I smashed mine over the back by about 30 40 yards and scuffed my second shot with a 60 clocked it on with a pitching wedge and then one parted so I got a four boner was on the green in one and four parted somehow so I’ve drawn back i got the hole on the third which was for one point i won that and I’ve just won this one which was five points so it’s currently 14 uh I’ve got no bonus got 14 and I’ve got 12 so we’re now on hole five and I’ll turn it round and we’re now going over the lake again and there’s the pin you ready whack this one on the green yeah put it on the green oh lovely come on get up go go go go oh I think I’m going in the bunker no rolled off the green what have you got seven oh so we’re trying to do a bit of recording in between the holes bon’s just uh sliced his T-shot and mine has just rolled off the green we’ve just had a look at the score the points table and this hole is for nine points so this is massive in me trying to get back into this hole because it’s currently well on We drew the first hole that was for that for six points you then won the eight so you’re on 14 i drew the six so I got six then I won the one seven and then I won the Was that five so I’m on 12 so I need to win this massively so he’s found his ball it’s buried in the rough and he’s got probably 100 yards he’s done well there out that long stuff it’s got a tricky eye here it’s gone over it really bad it could have been worse a big hole very big hole i’m putting I’m trying to play smart oh no no no no no no oh misjudged that hill oh dear go again yeah been okay today wow wow points i didn’t get it this is your fifth six guys just won that hole that was nine points um it probably means I might not be able to win the irony is two holes ago like Gaz couldn’t win at all well see what happens oh my You got it that’s a nasty kick still see it straight through i think it’s gone in the lake i think I’ve had a Yeah I don’t know how it’s gone so far so this is actually an opportunity for Boner to get straight back in this i’ve just looked this hole is for seven points and I’ve just chucked it around to the right and I think it’s gone and gone and gone and rolled into the lake if it hasn’t I’m very lucky you’re over with me don’t know whether yours has gone through though so he’s just come through that tree so he’s got really lucky there oh that mound oh wow wow somehow this is a part unlucky guys bogey all right so I’ve just put that in in four disappointing four i should have put it in for three so this is B’s third shot so he’s got to get up and down and in for two to draw the hole otherwise the seven points are mine lovely jabbly it’s a pressure cooker rolling another six yep unlucky tab in so another big big hole there just surprisingly went the other way yeah seven points now on top of that so I think if my math is right it ain’t i think I’m five points ahead yeah and how many we got to go three left yeah uh not sure what this one is for but it’ll be on the on the screen so I have to win every single hole now i’m going to presume yeah cuz I think there’s a two and a three point i don’t think we’ve had a two or a three point so yeah if I win every hole I got a chance but it’s not happening so we’ll see oh it going it touch your mate it’s in the middle pitch on same shot same shot same shot this hole is worth four points so it’s a foot back in technically you can still win oh that’s working oh my god oh my god oh the kick at the end i thought it was going straight for the pin just rolled off you’re all right there the way you’ve been playing your pitching wedge why would you use it so bonus saying go with my pitching wedge again which is great to have someone that’s you know try and look out for you and give you advice when he’s losing but I said I’ll do the full 60° again like I did on the first hole but I think I’m going to listen to him yeah so you’ve hit two decent clean shots with your pitching wedge and a couple of with a 60 so many with a 60 loads of green to aim for yeah that’s right so that’s me boner is just off with his first shot so I’m on for two it’s going to get spicy big shot it’s a big shot so this is for you to potentially win the hole because if you put it in I’ve got to knock that in this is for four points oh bones you’re in for four you got two gaz has to two putt now well half a hole obviously you can put it in but that’s all I need to do on every hole is just not lose yeah pretty much i might just end things now i love the confidence how was your going then i must admit I was a bit worried then and again I’ve seen he’s missed not by him though shame i haven’t I haven’t teed him up for this um just a bit of off camera well on camera commentary how did we make Oh jeez on I think there’s a bit of a disagreement with there it was on a train down to college right um Yeah how long ago is that so it was 20 years ago no yeah we’re 37 you’re Yeah absolutely it was 20 years ago my math is as bad as now as it was then um yeah it was a long time ago right he’s wearing a foo shirt hello thought he was an absolute knob now he’s wearing a I don’t know an absolute worst shirt and he’s still a N it’s been a fun journey isn’t it yeah and now with dad’s I’ve got Yeah little practic playing golf absolutely right next hole is 173 yards par Yeah par three obviously hole eight uh we tied that hole four points each so I think it’s over cuz this one I think is two and the next one’s one point or the other way round um so I’ve just got a time i can’t believe that at one point we thought it was mathematically that you couldn’t win and now it’s literally mathematic that I cannot win beautiful all right all right let’s go on it’s quite funny tea boxes oh they start really Sorry you beat my drive rolled a lot further yeah it’s not i thought it was cuz we got the driving range right next to us it’s not the worst in the world rolling over this driving range is a bit of a health out i mean they’re literally shooting balls at us this is sat in a bit of a dip this but going to use pigeon wedge again yeah absolutely 100% let’s get it up get it in get it wrong it needs a bit more power on this one there’s water down there to the right oh yeah yeah bit short right you stayed left that’s what you said okay probably overcompensated a little bit there you got pitching wedge from nine but I’m really light too much i can’t get a ball up and down like you do so I can’t do that either i’m going to hit the house you aim me off the house oh go on go on get up lovely that’s good mate just off the back that’ll do so a little bump on hitching wedge going to grip down slightly too much you touched it this is bonus second shot third shot this is for par and to win the hole he’s not hit it chuck it in hey so Gaz has got to tw they’ll probably freaking one bite it it’s left to right so looks a bit heavy left himself a bit of work to do but he’ll get it in half the O again no phones it is what the take that away mate how many was that right so Boner won that hole is four points that he’s just nicked off me and the next one the last hole is for two points now I haven’t added it up but I know he’s won an eight hole i’ve won a nine i’ve drawn a six and he’s just won a four so it’s it could all come down to this i think you might dab it if I’m if I’ve just got it I’ve got to I’ve got to draw this hole so fingers crossed see what happens all right so Boner won the hole he is first to tee off 86 yds it is a pitch this is a really small there’s a big bath there flag so the temptation is to go really left i know that’s what I tried last time i went in the drink yeah try not to this big green so he can’t get his foot in right oh it’s a shot he’s on and off might have too much coffee on this but it looks nice get in the hole no he’s in the drink he’s gone swimming hell wow see as well just cuz Gaz is the one doing the editing i want to make sure he doesn’t edit it out he did go in the drink mute it as well on the edit with me right there’s no more left then sounds like you hit the deck there mate but jeez unlucky with that drop off there mate great shot there’s Gaz’s first ball in the drink back to kitchen wedge y second shot great chance of winning the hole it’s definitely two or three ping from there third shot it’s downhill what the f there come on so if you make this you’ve taken the hole you’ve drawn the hole should have given the chances that was good wow wow half the hole wow all right guys so we’ve just finished and I’ve done the totting up of the scores and I don’t know them by the way it was I think we thought it was a lot closer yeah now that I’ve done it there’s a seven that done it cuz trying to record through holes and trying to keep the score and not hold people up off the tea is actually quite difficult and obviously we’re still it’s only our third third round recording so final scores Boner got 23 and I got 33 yeah cool so I beat you by 10 congratulations well done that was the seven but it just goes to show that if you draw that 9point hole it could have been a lot closer yeah 100% you know so if I hadn’t have won that it’s a hell of a lot closer but thank you for joining us again sorry about the sound we’ll make sure that the mics In episode 3 we’re playing the ‘What’s the HOLE Point’ challenge at another one of our local Golf courses; the (Par 3) New Course at Billingbear Park Golf Club in Wokingham, Berkshire.

I kind of made this game up on the morning of the round, but I’m pretty sure there is probably a name for it so I’m not taking credit for it’s creation…

The rules are straight forward; each hole has a pre-determined points value. If you win a hole you take the associated points, if you draw the hole you both take the points. The winner is the player with the most points at the end.

We apologise for the poor quality of the audio, we have technical issues with the mics but we’ve done our best in editing to fix what we could.

Join us for 9 holes as we take on a this light-hearted and fun challenge.
