what’s up MacT dis golf we’re back with another video where today we take the Kevin Jones Max to the max let’s go [Music] all right hey another quick fun video for you guys today where I test out a disc really tell you if you should trash it or stash it and I have a great one today a disc that I actually really like it’s in my bag right now but I’m curious if you would like it and if it’s for you um it is the Inova Max the Kevin Jones one it has It’s almost like a luster um type of plastic it’s very stable very very nice it’s the team champion series that just came out i’m a big Kevin Jones fan i love Kevin Jones i love his game everything about it besides where he’s at right now winning-wise but I still love how he plays it’s fun to watch him play and the Max is something I’m very interested in it’s a super super stable disc um I don’t even know the numbers off the top of my head i should probably do that if I’m doing a video but check out the stats i’m going to guess a 94 something like that um it’s a great disc it’s super super stable think tilts but a little more functional uh and so today I’m here at Bill Allen i’m going to play nine holes for you with just the Max with just the Max i don’t think some of them are are are good for it some of them aren’t but I’m curious what I can shoot today with these nine holes with just the Kevin Jones Max let’s just jump right into the sinking video dude also I’m putting with you guys already know Invader let’s go pull one 250ish maybe a little less it’s a hiso around this tree basket’s right there there’s OB far this is actually a good disc for this kind of just throw it on the other side of this tree let it crash get a putt in there i think my goal for I said my goal i would love to shoot at a nine maybe a three or four down that’d be very good with this disc I think so four down let’s go four down push ourselves here really high kind of tucked in a little bit more oh almost skipped acceed that holy cow all right that’s a putt we’ll find out where this disc is kind of tucked behind this tree a little bit that seemed like it almost aced to me anyways all right kind of an awkward position here easy putt but that disc or this hole is kind of made for this disc to be fair hole two this one’s kind of hard to see it’s just kind of straight through this gap you want to just try to I try to go through that second gap on the left get a low skip and it’s really hard to get up there for the for the birdie in my opinion but you can do it i’ve done it before kind of the right disc for it though very very flat it’s like almost like a flat top Firebird but just on steroids so see what I can do i’ll try to get out of the way so you can see it too not low at all cut through all right it give me a little cut through but that’s not going to be a good putt miracle with the putter maybe all right so I can’t lie i actually just made I I we just played her with my friend uh Corbin and I just shot my best record I’ve ever shot here minus 8 on the whole round and I had I left so many putts out there it’s a course that’s super scorable but for some reason it’s kind of like that enemy course for me where it’s like I know I could play better but I never do and so but I made a few of these type of putts so let’s see if I can knock this in for the vid give it the height little tailwind oh I like the height actually just a little left also for those of you complaining about our mics I did get new mics it’s our first round with them so hopefully the audio is good if not I’ll have to figure out kind of how to adjust these but seems great so far now we’re getting into part of the course where I would never ever throw this disc i would never throw this disc here i have ASUS before it was actually with a MD3 it’s like the Oh my gosh it’s whatever the eagle one is um don’t know typically I throw a putter at it kind of just straight at it and try to lay up close this is going to be tough cuz I really am going to have to really crank this there’s water that’s OB under it’s an island green so you have to get across the creek so we’ll see yeah I’m just going to throw a pretty hard forehand in there and hopefully get some tree play behind it or ace tree not great hit that tree that’s kind of a weird It’s hard to get some touch on this because it’s so stable but I have a putt i’m going to give it a good a good run here maybe and then we’ll see what we can do yeah hey hey [Music] i don’t know why I put better on camera with an absolutely massive putt that was awesome i love that man i love that man no I love that man what am I saying all right hole h whole four two down going into four that feels good straight ahead you kind of see it in the gap maybe you can see it i’ll zoom in try to um this this disc one of the things I love about this disc and I think it might be a good disc for you i know it’s stable but if you struggle throwing like grenades or that type of shot this disc almost is a natural grenade like you can throw it just on hiser and it will kind of just hold that hiser and then fall straight down i’ll show you i’m going to try to throw it just kind of just right of the basket high that was a little short I think okay got into the trees that’s going to be another long putt though maybe I’m just a sucker for cool putts but got left out here in the open kind of a straight gap to the basket maybe a 45-footer maybe a 40footer kind of a cool little line here ah that felt so good too just tap it i feel like that was so close it just barely nicked that inside tree whoa all right so hot here guys it’s like 8:00 in the morning right now and it is about to get blistering hot all right still two down this one’s tough hole five it’s a par4 but it’s 530 ft so my first throw is going to have to get some distance it’s going uphill and then kind of goes back downhill to the pond i’m going to need to get like 250 on this to even have a chance at birding so cuz I it’s it just doesn’t go as far as you want it to it’s not meant to go far so a lot of angle and see if I can just get 250 to a little more maybe a little more watch the angle I put on this honestly I like it i put so much angle i don’t I might have been in the way but that thing just hovered over the ground i almost I almost threw that on like a roller angle where it like it kind of panned out really quick i got blessed here with a little bit of shade so um I think I got it far enough there’s water OB left i don’t think the right’s OB right now um so you see the basket kind of goes downhill uphill i’m gonna throw a pretty heavy kind of like spikeheiser into the right side of it avoid the water and hopefully get a putt for the the birdie oh that’s water that’s water skip sit sit sit okay that sat but that sucked that sat but that sucked that should be on a t-shirt i almost messed up and put this into the pond but I didn’t now I have a slight putt at the birdie oh I wanted that one of the things about this disc that I’ve found is if you’re bad at controlling like the stability disc super stable discs it’s going to be a tough one for you because it it can like if you if water i’m a little nervous this could be the end of the video right here cuz I have one max there’s a ton of water and I think the throw to get over is probably going to be like 250 ft i’m a little worried i’m not going to lie but I feel like I can’t do a video and just throw to the freaking layup you know i’m not gonna do that to you so I’m gonna try to get over and if I mess up then it’s the end of the video for you guys i think it’s over it’s just way left safe but way left or you could say it sat but it sucks um I’m way left to the basket i probably could have tried to straighten that out a little bit more but it’s very hard to get the angle on that and get it right not high at all but parked absolutely under the basket still staying at minus two kind of where my goal is three holes left here we go i think they’re all birdieable with this disc so this one’s tucked behind kind of this corner you want to just throw kind of a forehand kind of straight and let it just skip right around the corner and get the putt should be perfect for this good tailwind get a little bit of angle on it and let it fight back yeah I mean that’s should be perfect maybe a little inside oh no oh I just got to the worst spot possible all right it takes a lot to get this thing to go far so as you’re watching this video you’re like “Man that thing’s not really going far maybe he sucks.” Yes but it also is a very tough disc to get that angle on i want you to understand the gap that I have to hit right here very tight but I do feel like there’s this phrase called Mactown Mojo ryan kind of coined it but I think this is like the moments I love a framed up putt pressure on the line to try to get to my goal couldn’t ask for anything better mac Mojo moment let’s make it no i celebrated so early oh that looks so good that was like right side chains perfect all the way in so missing that puts me at a really hard spot but I think I can get the next two so this one’s hard to film it’s really where that dead tree is you want to just cut inside right after that it’s a tough kind of get to the basket type of shot i could go over the top but it’s a little windy so I’m going to take the max which is my normal disc here super strong headwind which makes it tough but um just play right around the corner hopefully set ourselves up for a putt like that but I actually kind of got around so I might be okay i got absolutely blessed i was looking for it couldn’t find anywhere it’s actually in a pretty good spot must have cut through these trees so should make this putt maybe 20footer ching very proud of myself for being where I’m at three down i mean I said that four down was my goal one hole left it’s a 180 foot hole little gap here goes left which is great for this disc but it is kind of a touch shot so I want to I kind of want to actually power and see if I can get a skip into the basket would be awesome so the Max let me give you some of my reviews and thoughts right now and then we’ll end the video after this hole but I love this disc it’s great it’s definitely a utility disc it’s not a disc you’re going to throw on every hole all the time but I think it’s worth it so if you’re new to disc golf probably stay away from this disc for a while uh it’s just kind of a tough disc to manage but if you are been playing for a while you’re decent you’re skilled i would say like MA3 MA2 to beyond this disc is super useful especially in Texas on windy days i I played a windy really windy open course the other day and I just threw this thing all over the place the wind was not bothering it at all so all right hole nine straight through the gap skip shot up there kind of by that big tree that’s sticking out so see what we can do i can’t finesse it cuz if I finesse it I’ll suck so I just kind of have to power it up there actually like it oh that’s like right by the basket though hit the tree by the basket it’s just a stretch out down the middle just exactly what we
