Totally amazing. The Pole Vault is the most unique event in Track and Field.
Our greatest athletes on the planet. Kudos.
Wish we had these training methods back in the day. We just grabbed a pole and ran fearlessly to plant the pole and hurl ourselves over the cross bar.
Nice.
How do you even decide that's what you want to do?
They're the most daring athletes
If I were back in high school, I would try to join the pole vault team. It is like a super power to turn running speed and fiberglass stick into pure vertical flight, and say FU to gravity and physics. Ofcourse, I would train to master every micro step of the way, and also keep impeccable maintenance/record of my pole. If done right like most things there is nothing to fear except boredom, repetition and routine.
I wish we had these at my highschool right now. They would be really helpful to train for state!
