Pat Reed’s Albatross at The US Open etched his name into Oakmont’s history books. Can we follow his lead and recreate his Albatross! 286 yards and a Trackman simulator stand in our way!
We also feature how you can recreate famous golf shots on your simulator!
right guys we all saw Patrick Reed do this on the fourth hole at Oakmont during the US Open it’s the first albatross ever on that hole now we’re going to try and recreate it using Trackman’s Encourse practice and this is going to show just how incredible that shot was so we’re going to have a have a few shots and uh give it a go here’s my first attempt oh that’s a good first attempt not going to make it [Music] better come in there better line oh oh hello oh hello oh my god go on oh my god [Music] that was good that was really amazing oh that was close i’ll take that i don’t know what even the point of us going is we got to follow up hitting the hole i’ve never seen that happen before but unbelievable shot that was a What a joke it’s not getting there that’s not bad it’s okay that first one Oliver I’m I’m in shock i’d have been really happy with that until about until about two minutes ago okay I’m going to do one more and let somebody else have a go at not beating Ollie come on come on let’s go in that bunker tell you what I would have been over the moon with that but uh Ollie has thoroughly outshot us there what a shot come on come on goodbye right guys this is how you set up your launch monitor to be able to recreate shots like we have just there so on Trackman all you do is go into practice on course practice here then you can select whichever course you need to use so we need to use Oakmont we can load that up now once you load it in all you need to do is select your hole press select and then it will load you in and you can basically put the ball anywhere you need to recreate a shot so today for Patrick Reed we just take the ball and we need to be somewhere around here where we’ve got 286 yards to this flag so we can look down here find the perfect spot that’s 296 play around with it and find the perfect place 275 for argument sake let’s say we get to 286 and then you’re good to go now you don’t necessarily need this to be a Trackman to be able to do it most major launch monitors have a course practice feature now so Skyrack it’s on their practice you can see on course practice meo Plus you’ll be using GS Pro foresight and Unicor both have on practice built into their systems now if you don’t know if your launch monitor has this capability feel free to drop a comment or send us a message we’ll be sure to check it out for you
