The Sox and Mariners finish up their three game series in Seattle all even in a game apiece. Garrett Crochet goes up against the top right hitter luis Castillo. I think I can safely say no, no hitter wants to be in the lineup on either side today. Cast 443, 29 A pitches particularly well at T Mobile Park. 47 starts here. His er A is 2.79. Mariners pitching has taken center stage so far this home stand, a wave and a miss on a changeup, took a pretty sharp right hand turn way to begin things today for Castillo. Here’s the pitch on the way to Gonzalez swinging a ground ball is short, Moore has it over to second and easy. First inning for Castillo Crochet starts are always theater. He was awesome. His last time against the New York Yankees longest start of his career. No doubt. This is the guy you want on the bump when the series is on the line. Three, two is right there. Strike three called the outside corner Beauty from Crochet and there’s one away and they’ll bring up center fielder julio Rodriguez by struck him out back to back cases, he gets more and Rodriguez two up two down. And now Cal Raley Raley had himself a night last night swinging a line shot down the left field line, a fair ball that hits off the seats and angle out first for second. He’ll go in. Stay it up. So Cal Raley jumps on the first pitch from, he hits a rocket down the left field line and just continues to stay hot the entire season. He has been unbelievable. You really don’t know how many runners you’ll get in scoring position. You want to take advantage when you do that one up into right Anthony right there and roman with the grab to retire the side , nothing comes of the double Marcelo. Meer feels like a good day for him to hit a home run in Seattle leads off against luis Castillo. The pitch to him and in the right field is gone. He does go deep. Marcelo says hello to Seattle and it’s one nothing red Sox seems like his pattern will is when he does hit him, they are gone instantaneously. He’s given up six home runs in the last three outings and he gave up the four in the 1st 12 Randy Arose Arena leading off the bottom of the second one. Red Sox swinging a high fly ball gap left center field going back is Durant pedals onto the one trick still going back and he drops the ball. Randy Arose Arena in at second Durant had it could not hang on. Remember it’s a day game. So you’re fighting some of those clouds in that sun. You can see him flashing that glove up. He felt like he had it just took his head off and looking for that wall too. He glanced back, see where he was up against the wall. He had to make that late adjustment. It’s a double for Rose Arena and the 32 to Garver swinging a fly ball into left center going back his is there near the track to make the catch tagging at second. Heading for third, Randy Rose Arena. The long throw to third on a hop not in time. He goes in standing up. So Garber is able to advance the runner 90 ft and now the run is 90 ft away from home plate low and outside it bounces away from one the catcher and here comes randy Rose arena trotting in the Mariners have tied this game on a wild pitch and you’ll take it. Mariners pitching has been overall if you can scratch and your way into 102 runs against, keep this game close in business. It’s four hits already. That’s as many as he allowed an eight and one third against the Yankees. The Mariners have two on with one away here in the bottom of inning. Number two, ground ball to second Hamilton into second one. That’s all story hanging on to that to make sure he didn’t throw it away and they will be safe on the corners and two down top of the order and long inning for the left hander, he’s thrown 25 pitches already 2 to 2 in their strike three got him again. Struck out both times looking, but Seattle gets on the scoreboard, we’re tied 1 to 1. So the Red Sox will put the go ahead run at first base. There’s Trevor story who in his career is zero for eight against Castillo driven into the gap in left center field. That ball is pounded. That is way back in it. Trevor story. A absolute bomb to left center field and the Red Sox lead it 3 to 1. Their second home run off Castillo today and that was a line drive that was a bullet. Pitcher was frozen rope midway point in Seattle, Red Sox leading 31 over the Mariners for getting a little bit of support. Today. One is looped into second base and Hamilton leaps to make the play with Snow Cone. Grab a top spinning line drive and David did very well to handle it. Knuckler and there’s one away Raley now a double on a Grounder six RBIs last night as the catchers the DH today on power right here in a big spot. He’s A T and run. I know it’s just the fifth inning but Crochet in there and him in the box. You know what, both these guys are thinking and it is swung on and missed a sweeper. Raley is gone Crochet with his sixth strikeout and he’s rolling along throw is not nearly in time, Anthony in with his first major league steal on a foot first slide and it was easy for Romans wipes. It back. Gets in a scoring position here for the story on roped on one hop to Dilan Moore spears it fires to first taken in by Solano and that’s the inning played by Dylan Moore. That would have been a run with 31 lead. We go to the bottom of the sixth inning in Seattle. He gets 45 and six here. Polanco Rosa and Garber swing and a Miss great sweeper. Crochet is feeling it now that’s seven strikeouts and there’s one away in the sixth liner into left field. Durant coming on and a nice play by Durant to come sliding and make the play two up and two down two looked like he went and he did home plate umpire ringing him up to retire. The side down goes Garver, he gets a 1238 strikeouts for Crochet. The day is done for the Ace Crochet, six innings, eight strikeouts out six hits. He did not walk anybody. Those 96 pitches gives way to the bullpen and Glocks been good. He has given up a run since May 20 622 swing and a Miss great changeup. So the Red Sox have struck out nine Mariners in game one. They struck out 15 soft ground ball to second base. Hamilton’s got it. He throws to first in time and quickly there are two ground ball to me. Scoop there easy peasy for him. That’s a 123 for Garrett Whitlock. That was nine pitches from Garrett Whitlock and Aroldis Chapman coming on the pitch here in the eighth, getting the top of the order for Seattle two to swinging a ground ball to third backhanded by Meer Crow hop and a throw right across again. Just perfect timing one away that will bring up Julio. So up for the heater, the pitch is swung on and missed fastball 99.5 miles an hour. Rodriguez blown away their two away. Unbelievable all these years, all those pitches for Aroldis Chapman chopped to third meer back and what a play he plants, he intentionally throws it out by to you can’t play third any better than this kid. And the inning is over. So rather unconventional management here in the last couple of innings, we’ll see if it pays off for Alex Corey is going to bring on Weisser greg Eisert has two saves. Red Sox leading 3 to 13 outs away from taking the series will ground that one to second scooped up by Hamilton one away. Polanco. 0 to 4. An all important. First man goes back to the dugout brings up a Ros Arena who has scored their only run today way back in the second inning up and in, and now a Ros Arena is aboard and canzone called on to hit coming off the bench and represents the run and a check swing. That was a changeup and he went around. Wow, that didn’t look like a swing at all. To me, it’s so in tune. I think he held up sox get a little bit of a break and it is a chopper up the middle that could end the game story at second throw to first and time ball game over a double play ends it and fittingly story right in the middle of everything.

  1. Mariners R bad on purpose no $. But Cal out scored Beans by himself. For the series, in 1 game. Boston so spoiled with ex Mariners…

  2. Stinks. I just dont wanna hear it anymore. After sweeping Cleveland, they needed to win this series to carry on.. gotta somehow get back up to 5 games, 8 games over .500 to reach any sort of potential. If M's win here, it could have been BOS 38-38, SEA 38-35.

  3. Castillo needs to get in the lab and start learning some new pitches otherwise he is going nowhere. Tired of him seeing throw just fastballs and changeups.

  4. Only Raleigh can't win the games for the Mariners.what's about Rodriguez,Polanco,Arozerana?they are still a shame in the offense.

  5. 5:03 Crochet didn’t realize there were three outs in the inning. That’s why he stood on the mound longer instead of walking back. You can see it in his face too.

  6. I really hope boton adds a #2 before the deadline & the rookies make adjustments thay winning close games but need some help from the young gunz.& what's going on with daran slump & making mistakes in the field
