Yeah, all the time it takes to set up the camera and do all that other stuff. I could see that I’ve been behind people filming before and it’s a pain in the ass.
I don't see anyone ahead of you. If the course is open and you are not hitting ot taking too long to hit. Then you are wrong. You shouldn't have to make him ask. If you want to take your time and there is nobody ahead of you slowing you down then you need to initiate to conversation to ask if he want to go ahead!
You were right. Ive played solo rounds like that(just without the camera). There can be almost no one on the course and someone will come up with an attitude. As long as you let them play ahead its not a problem.
Is it a country club? Members at my club sometimes come out and find an open spot and play like 7 holes on the evening. Often we just say hi and they drive off to find an open hole. It seems like they had no intention of driving the ball or playing the hole.
However, I would typically say “we are just getting some practice in and trying not to bother anyone”. Not “you are taking to long”. The situation seems odd especially if they weren’t behind you before. It strikes me as they jumped on looking for an opening to play some late evening golf. So they have no right saying someone is taking to long if they are jumping around the course. I could be off though.
Influencers recording themselves can be annoying. Also setting up cameras and recording takes a lot longer than you think even if you are solo. Players paid fees to play not have to wait for others finish recording themselves for YouTube. Dont make it about you. It’s common sense and proper etiquette to let other players play thru. They were polite, I don’t see anything wrong with it.
Gotta love old idiots who go golfing just to play as fast as humanly possible and not even enjoy the round. I can’t stand people who try to play as fast as possible. Especially old mummy’s who have nothing better to do once they are done anyways. I mean what are they in such a hurry for? Their nap at noon while they watch murder she wrote and eat a cucumber sandwich?
I know this feel too well. Being accused of something you know you're not actually at fault for but your asian upbringing forces you to apologize anyway so after the interaction is done you sit there contemplating if you were actually wrong and come up with ways you should have responded. feel that bro
Just had this happen to me. There was a foursome behind me and I was at least one whole ahead of them and randomly some guys showed up and started hitting into me. Turned out he was just a resident on the course who just goes out and does that. Self entitled country club. It's okay. I saw him at the range stealing other people's balls so I went around and took him first.
If your 4 holes infornt of everybody, than thats means that couple skipped the que.
I give it up to you for being polite, because here in Auckland NZ i would of told him sure go through and drive my usual 280 to 300 meter drive and than approach them and say sorry your slowing me down so im gonna play through. 🏌️ Real talk.

For context, it was a late afternoon zen solo round and had about 7 groups on the entire course… this couple came out of nowhere and just jumped on

Prob got tired of you taking 5 min between each shot getting the perfect camera shot. Ya you were def in the wrong. No double should catch a solo
Your content isn’t that important guy
I can only imagine if they were behind me and my fellow hacks, let alone a single scratch golfer hitting fairways.

Solo players have no rights on the course
The usual suspects

Considering you have a camera set up to record this interaction i bet they were right.
Whenever someone is taking long and we want to pass them we just ask, we don’t see a need to say something. Idk that just annoys me
