Caddie push-ups, striped T100 irons, and a walk down Bradenton Country Club’s 16th fairway with Frida Kinhult. We joined her inside the ropes at the LPGA’s Drive on Championship for an inside look at her process when preparing to compete against the world’s best.

00:00 – On the tee with Frida

04:51 – Vokey SM10 First Impressions

Please say something that’s like so weird.
Be like, Oh 98 here, what about six iron? Oh 100%! I’ll be like, “I like hybrid.”
Just play wedge up the tee so I know you hit the fairway.
If you finish it on TV tower on the orange building there, that’s perfect.
Is it kind of top or left part of the house? Correct, correct.
For the green, yeah. Five push-ups for a fairway
and five for me if I miss. You should pick the most generous
fairway, but sure, screw it, why not? Got to do something.
You got to do something, that’s fair. Send it.
Don’t bounce right. No, you’re good.
Now? Come on, it’s for the camera.
I don’t like these bets. 50-yard wide fairway, were you kidding me?
I lost before I even started. Downwind? Okay, cool.
Seven, 113 front. Did I say 16, right?
13. I mean hole.
Oh, 138 pin. 138 back on that left top thing?
Yeah, correct. Three eight. Probably an eight iron.
Guess at the 16 pole? Yeah, exactly. Everything
should feed towards the pin. Perfect.
Distance is good there. Right of it, at least.
You did keep it right. Kept my promise.
Can’t even repair divots because they just explode.
The guys. Yeah, the guys. He’s doing his job.
I heard some crazy stats. I cant remember what course it was, but they
closed the course so far in advance for the tournament. Like members couldn’t
play, they had to bring the little plastic. Oh, the mats?
Yeah. Kind of like what they do at St. Andrews?
Yeah. You can kind of see old cups, where it’s not
too severe a slope but also can tuck it in a little bit. But to get an idea of where
they most likely will have some things. Putt from back right?
Potentially, just in case they do. Youd rather preemptive, then
at least you know what it does. Even like these back pins you can actually afford
to be pretty, I mean, landing it at that pin, it’s not. Probably get something in there.
Yeah, landing it at about 25, probably 25 on max, and if it stays, great.
Depending on what the wind is doing. Great idea.
Buckets. I really like them. Their turf
interaction is very smooth, softer sound to it, soft like nice feel. Put
them straight in the bag, so it’s a good sign. Game of the year is always tossing
these. Have you seen a player doing it? Whats the game?
Like toss the cop. You got to get closer. I don’t trust myself.
No, oh, yay, I was so bad.
