Is This Golf Resort in Spain Worth the Hype? (La Manga)

We visit Murcia in the south of Spain to see if 
La Manga Club is really worth the hype for golfers looking for a golf holiday in the sun perfect 
arrival cheers here’s to a quality little golf holiday me and Ali have just got into our room we 
have got a view of the 18th green right through there i love that view that’s a great view 18th 
hole of the north course here at La Manga now let’s go and have a look into the bathroom big 
old shower even you might be sat on there crying in the shower i don’t think so beat you here 
at the mango i like how you’ve even got like a little couch area as well there’s a lot of room 
obviously for your golf clubs having a little look at what the facilities are padle padle where’s 
paddle hello paddle wow look at this tennis center it’s like a It’s like a stadium around this tennis 
court could be a hybrid but I’m feeling a bit of memory foam there oh there’s not a spring in that 
at all we’re here at the spa this is what you’re going to be welcomed with alley no he won’t be 
included beautiful entrance beautiful here we go love the smell in here i’m very very impressed 
with this gym oh that’s nice these have got to be new 400 yard drive cross trainers cardio bikes 
450 yard drive whatever sort of workouts you’re into you want to keep fit this gym is going to 
have you covered right it’s time for the spa now we’ve waited long enough oh you’re welcomed with 
this tell me that’s not peaceful oh we’ve gone steamy on the old lens that’s how hot it is can’t 
handle it or was it me or was it me is this like a punch bowl no no no no oh that is so good is it 
the lasso spa? no I don’t think so i think it’s a bit salty i could just I could just float here 
all those gold sweet melting you’ve got this very unique shaped, i’m going to I’m going to call it 
a bath as well because it’s just it’s it’s not massive you’re not going to be doing lengths in 
it it’s more to relax but there is enough space there’s buttons everywhere all right let’s stand 
on it let’s stand on it stand on it i think so the spa is a perfect spot to visit on your 
holiday so make sure to check it out but for now we’re going to head to the on-site 
Hatsune restaurant Ali sat over here ready looking forward to it welcome so all of this 
is coming out so you don’t order anything no so we’re at the start here with the the 
cocktail and then we’re just going to go through this all right well let’s give it 
a cheers cheers oh it’s too soft it’s too It’s Yeah it’s too tender it’s too soft he’s 
gone for the two-handed chopsticks now this is fine dining at his best leave a comment 
below if you can use chopsticks and please give Alli some tips i could ask for a fork it’s

with absolute love and attention that is a piece of art that’s great a beautiful little star to 
get this whole menu going the Hatsuni restaurant at La Manga Club was the perfect spot to end 
the day with some amazing Japanese and Asian food great sushi and great vibes but that is a 
wrap on day one ready to tackle the North Course tomorrow right we’ve arrived at the golf course 
the North Course La Manga me and Allie going to do a one hole challenge just for you on 
Ali maybe the hardest hole on this course it’s tricky one whole match me and Ally 
here on the north course at La Manga Club i’ve bottled it but it’s going to be 
fine yeah it’s too far right did you see it down yeah it’s down it’s in the palm 
tree it’s in my head rent free rent free no oh yeah coming with me same place really 
it’s going to be on that fairway i think the 10th see it down that water got in our head 
massively then bottled it yeah like massively just a little bit of water and that’s it i 
prefer that lot i prefer that angle in you paid for that yeah yeah well I do yardage 
um not too worried about it i think this will be short but I need enough loft to get 
over and I want to push it as far as I can oh it’s a path assist it’s 
still going down the path i thought that was I thought that wasn’t 
that bad in the air i’ve got a line what a great says the golfer what happens after you 
say I’ve got a line it’s not the best line that was looking so good so good that was looking 
good that was perfect i’ve gone It’s gone long too much way too much 56 it’s on a bit of a down slope 
she’s going to run off but Alli you’re in trouble down there i’ve got to say you are in trouble it’s 
a great touch oh it’s just hit the bank that’s a great touch ah oh it’s got Yeah how quick is that 
it’s a It’s a bit of a long part I’ve got going on Ali’s in big trouble Ali is in big big trouble i 
need to make sure I get through this seems a bit fluffy think I played that well think

on the left mate i had like a slight down slope and it was a bit fluffy i could 
have just whiffed it that was real nice it’s a good weight that’s the

okay let’s see this one i’ll take a five yep nice there we go two fives two fives here 
at the North Course time has come for paddle and I’m going to show you how to spank someone 
at sports as well so he’s going to get taught some lessons it’s going to be good it’s 
going to be big and hopefully I destroy Ellie so when we get to the paddle courts 
we had a surprise waiting for us a former professional squash player was waiting 
for us who do you think takes the victory [Music] [Music] take care take care that was good fun paddle is 
good yeah but people are going to want to come here and they’re going to want to play the paddle 
and you see the facilities they’re building here as well with they’ve got a load of new courts 
coming in i think that’s one of the best paddle facilities I’ve actually seen it’s now time 
to move on to my favorite course at Langa Club this is the south course all three are great but 
this course just stands out for me simply for its layout and the views are just something 
else so it’s part three now me going to do a onehole challenge for you going to 
teach him some lessons um it’s a lovely path through three look at this bit of water 
lovely view as expected as expected ally lead the way got a nine iron wind into a little 
bit i need to hit this i need to hit this nice going to have to dangle it over the water 
though oh that’s a great shot if it’s the club no it can’t be it can’t be long is 
that long in the bunker it went over the green if it ever in the bunker in 
the bunker it disappeared in line how has that gone so far i thought 
that was going What did you hit nine there it is that’s got to be 
the club yeah well come on small little bunker little bit of green to work 
with but water at the other end my friend sit it’s got to sit oh no that’s a good 
shot though this is epic i don’t know why this just feels like I’m in Maitius 
at the moment what a place to make your first birdie of the day then Leo what do you 
mean it’s my 10th oh I’ve got scared of it oh man what happened you got scared of the Yeah 
I got scared of the green so the grain is going against me though on that one you confident I’m 
going to tw yeah you’re not getting this in oh he’s rammed it told you this could this you could 
miss this what have I done pressure [Music] no you lose the south course this is a was 
I think it was a 2minut drive to the last drop from the hotel we’re about to go in 
it looks good you can imagine on the high season this being quite busy alli is ready for 
a beer yeah are we going mulligans or we going last drop oh see options you got mulligans 
there or last drop there golf you want to go mulligans then i want a mulligan anyway all 
right fine you’ll never get a milligan from me in case you didn’t guess um I think it’s 
Irish themed all right take it off the wall show me the money we got a uh lemon lemonchello 
lemonello lemon lemonello so we’ve come to Mulligan we got some darts we’ve spun 
the wheel for a shot we got two beers what a perfect way to spend your evening after 
some golf go go go go go go go right we have arrived at the west course at Langa one of 
the three courses available in Langa sun is shining today and I’m going the wrong way but 
now I’m not so Ali Alli’s played this course before probably a lot of times as we all know 
but he was saying it’s very tricky very fiddly it’s not not brute force strategy yeah you need 
iron play around here you don’t need to hit your drivers so we’ve saved maybe arguably the best 
hole for last for a little golf challenge for this review we have got 376 yds to the green 
with huge elevation so me and Alli are going to do a scratch match stroke play who takes the 
win at the West Course where do you think it’s going Ella up in the air quite high i You know 
what if you hit the perfect shot here this is going to look so satisfying right [Music] yeah 
oh my oh and satisfying it was oh I You expect it to fly a bit further don’t you that’s a great 
shot i’ll measure it tell you what though [Music] i didn’t intend to hit it that low it’s 
It’s Did it not go over i reckon it’s alive i reckon it’s alive i think I’m playing 
this as a par five now what one do we go down well says green this way and I’m pretty next 
to it oh come on come on you hit your drive 210 mate how far 180 into wind tough this 
is tough this is really tough tempted to even try and lay up why would you lay up it’s 
only 180 yeah but it’s quite a forceful shot it should be okay should be in trouble 
that should be all right yeah i thought so yeah all right i’ll take it i’ll take 
it i’m down there take mine 270 mate 60 yards further than yours it’s all about 
the second shot my friend and where’s my ball it’s on the green i knew it 
was okay i knew it was okay right it’s looking good oh we’ve got a putt off great shot we’ve got 
a put off see look after the drive and all of that distance has it really made a difference yeah 
well well it’s only because your second shot was actually really good i put you under pressure 
there you were going to lay up but you pulled out a weldy of a shot and now we’ve got I did 
try to lay up and it just went oh so it was an awful shot then let’s see now now the greens have 
dried out a little bit feel like this is going to be a bit different i love this these greens are 
so pure on this course just Well you first mate i think it’s downhill isn’t it but it’s a bit 
No it’s uphill it’s uphill i think that’s an uphill part you think all right hasn’t hit it 
oh wow it was down i think it was down do you want to tap it in or do you want to wait no no no 
no i’m going to miss that so I’m going to mark it dust pin lid really all you need is a half on this so these greens are really tough it’s not bad [Music] good putt he wins gets the 
pars so does that mean uh That’s it it’s all over i’ll put mine anyway yeah have a putt for 
a bit of honor nice it’s two pars two pars two pars that’s not bad so there you have it all three 
golf courses at Langa Club the south course pure championship vibes long tough and a serious test 
the north course way more playable still tricky but definitely most fun for shot shaping and 
variety and the west course well that is easily the most scenic and dramatic tight hilly and 
forces you to think your way around each one has got its own feel and honestly you could spend 
a week here and never get bored whether you’re here for the golf holiday or chasing a bit of a
