from tom kim tossing his club too early to tosti’s legendary practice ace [Music] [Applause] these are the golfing moments that prove anything can happen when you celebrate too soon seeu kim’s night night celebration backfires at the 2024 president’s cup seiw kim pulled off one of the wildest shots you’ll ever see on a golf course on the 16th hole stuck in the thick rough kim nailed a nearly impossible flop shot and guess what he sank it for a birdie it was an incredible clutch moment as it tied the match and had the entire crowd buzzing and you know kim he just had to make the moment even more interesting he threw up stephen curry’s iconic night celebration like he had just won the greatest golf award ever and while it was super entertaining it was just too much here’s the twist though the match was anything but over on the very next hole the us team bounced back stealing the lead and winning one up kim’s early celebration was a disaster as it backfired big time sure confidence is great but never count your win before the final putt drops and while there’s no denying kim’s shot was legendary i think now it’s easy to realize why it’s so important to stay locked in till the end moving on this next one isn’t like a missed shot or anything it’s just rory maroy doing rory things rory maroyy’s champagne pop surprise at the 2014 ryder cup just as europe was closing in on victory rory maroy accidentally stole the spotlight and probably not in the way he planned standing beside teammate graham mcdow rory held a champagne bottle ready to celebrate but just before the full putt dropped all you heard was a really loud pop the cork shot out like a rocket just as zach johnson lined up his shot and to be fair it startled everyone especially maroy who hilariously just looked as shocked as johnson the timing was exceptionally bad the moment went instantly viral as golf fans couldn’t get enough now to his credit rory was quick to apologize admitting his celebration was a little early but no harm done at least it wasn’t embarrassing like seu kim’s early celebration right and just when you thought it couldn’t get any crazier we have tony fenau tony fenau’s painful hole-in-one celebration at the 2018 masters par 3 contest fenau nailed a stunning hole-in-one on the seventh hole just like the crowd tony was super hyped he sprinted towards the green and leaped in celebration and that’s when disaster struck he twisted his ankle so badly that it literally popped out of place what a celebration and trust me most people would have hit the ground screaming but now he was so casual about it as he popped it back in place and continued about his day doctors later revealed it was a high ankle sprain and no broken bones and the kicker not only did fenal play the next day he also finished tied for 10th just seven under eight shots behind the winner and speaking of celebrations cut short dustin johnson’s heartbreak at the 2010 pga championship was crazy dustin johnson’s pga championship heartbreak with a one-shot lead in the final hole johnson looked determined to finally snag his first major win he hid his drive into a sandy patch right off the fairway to him it was just another waste area so he grounded the club and played now in johnson’s mind he bogeied the hole thinking he was headed to a playoff and while there wasn’t exactly a huge celebration cameras caught the relief on his face and maybe even a tiny smile but then came the punch in the gut officials hit him with a two-stroke penalty for grounding his club in what was technically a bunker thanks to some unknown local rule and just like that all his playoff dreams were crushed he finished in fifth and if dustin johnson’s heartbreak didn’t teach us enough tom kim made sure to show us the true dangers of early celebrations tom kim’s missed chip shot celebration during a recent match kim faced a chip shot on the eighth hole he struck it clean watching it roll perfectly as he celebrated thinking it was in he tossed his club turned away and walked off like a boss but the ball it didn’t go in tiger woods and max h couldn’t hold back their laughter and the internet lit up with comparison to nba star nick young’s viral 2014 miss celebration moment but it was fun all around as kim owned it saying “i really called it and didn’t think it could miss i learned my lesson big time never i repeat never celebrate too soon if you’re loving these wild golf moments hit that like button and don’t forget to subscribe either so you never miss the drama fails and unexpected wins let’s resume with adam scott’s horrifying collapse adam scott’s crushing collapse at the open at the 2012 open championship scott was in full control with just four holes to play he held a four-shot lead the engravers were practically ready commentators had already called it and the fans thought it was a done deal and then came the collapse bogeon 15 all right no big deal bogeon 16 maybe it’s the nerves bogeon 17 what’s going on adam bogeon 18 and it was game over just like that ernie lel swooped in and snatched the win from scott’s hand what looked like a guaranteed win turned into a collapse in no time scott didn’t throw the club or cry about it but the look on his face said it all and while he wasn’t hopping around like other golfers in this video you can tell how happy he was with such a dominant lead before it all went down the drain and sometimes celebrations come crashing down from outside just ask lexi thompson lexi thompson’s shocking penalties at the 2017 ana inspiration lexi was cruising with a three-stroke lead in the final round victory wasn’t just within reach it looked guaranteed but then out of nowhere she got hit with a four-stroke penalty mid round why you’re not going to believe this a tv viewer emailed the lpga pointing out lexi had improperly replaced her ball on the 17th hole during the third round combine that with signing an incorrect scorecard and suddenly two-stroke penalties added up to four shots lost lexi was in disbelief she even asked if it was a joke is this a joke no it’s not despite the shot she fought back and forced a playoff but unfortunately lost to so yian ryu you can’t even celebrate these days even the viewers at home are out to get you and just when you thought you’d seen every kind of heartbreak windham clark delivered a fresh gut punch wam clark’s heartbreaking missed putt it was the final hole of the 2024 players championship clark needed a birdie to get into a playoff with scotty sheffller he lined up a 17 ft putt struck clean and watched it roll with perfect speed clark started to celebrate it didn’t drop it almost did though and just like that the dream slipped away clark stood stunned i’m so shocked that putt didn’t go in he later said “i hit it perfectly.” this miss left him tied for second just one stroke behind shefflin who made history as the first back-to-back winner at the players and if windham clark’s heartbreak stopped bryson desamos was just as brutal bryson and desambo’s painful playoff minutes in a wild six-hole playoff against patrick kantle desambo had more than one shot to close the deal the pressure was on though with the crowd locked in then came the second playoff hole the golden chance he had the perfect opportunity to seal the game right there and then now desbo wasn’t exactly celebrating or something but you can tell from his body language how he’s super stoked about it anyway desambo lined up a six-foot birdie putt he struck it it rolled and it looked really good until it didn’t the ball lipped out on the left side he’s missing him all to the left all those pressure putts i can’t believe bryson missed that that would have been his ninth win of his career honestly it was so close it really hurt to watch that miss was a turning point one of the several chances he couldn’t capitalize on kantlay was as cool as ice and eventually drained the birdie that sealed the deal and this wasn’t exactly an early celebration it was a true reaction desau was super frustrated but the change in body language was crazy when he missed it this just goes to prove the same old thing never celebrate until the final putt and finally there’s alejandro tasty who gave us the most unforgettable practice celebration ever alejandro tasty’s legendary practice hole-in-one during a warm-up round at the players championship tasty stepped up to the legendary 17th at tpc sawrass and if you know the hole you know it’s pure pressure most just end up hitting it in the water but not tosti he swung strategically he hit a hole in one and it was time for him to celebrate arms in the air shouting just pure joy it was everything you’d expect from a tournament winning ace but here’s the thing it was just practice it was hilarious when he remembered the shot didn’t count but hey can you blame him a hole in one at 17 is rare if you enjoyed these epic moments you’ll love this video too click here
