this is hescus golf club the venue i will be playing regional open qualifying in just a matter of days on monday the 23rd of june and today we’re going out for my practice round i have my caddy ben here with me and we’re going to talk you through a few little holes where i feel a little bit undecided on and i’m also going to see what i can shoot today around this golf course hopefully post a good number and carry that on into open qualifying guys subscribe get ready for the comp video coming next week let’s go buddy this is our uh first hole 379 yards the first it’s quite generous there are some bunkers down there but uh quite a a wide open place it looks like for a start better than um the one we faced last year that was tight and hooky we’re going to go driver ben’s going to be giving you some distances along the way today and we’re going to talk through a few pro well not problem holes but holes that we need to make our mind up on yeah i’m just going to go the right corner of the green age here you reckon just where he’s in red there beauty i think i might have hit him a big bounce and it could well you take that one next week yeah can we bank that for now cheers right then comment down below what do you think we’re going to score today and in the open qualifying as well if you are around the area come down 7:45 is my tea time let’s go we got 71 or probably 70 actually tell you what these caddies 70 told you 70 yeah it’s a weird one these distances like here i just generally go off my watch it’s 43 to the front 57 to the center so i think it’s just a pitch maybe a 52 that’s going to fly and pitch it where just on yeah just on and let it run up just dead at it yeah tell you what we take that drive on a monday center study whoa whoa that was my fear with that it’s not actually that far away but maybe 50 chance 58 to keep it from running off today is like where you can miss it off the fairway where’s like the safe side and then playing into the greens where’s like the easiest safest part to miss it on don’t know the pin locations but you can have a sort of guess where they were going to be last year it was around here somewhere so it’s an idea of saying well obviously here to the left hand side if you miss it there it’s a lot easier up and down so it’s just a case of finding those things out today but if we hit a drive like that just hit a slightly better pitch ben might be happy you’ll roll this one in anyway it don’t matter thought about dropping me turn turn beautiful i just need a fulltime caddy you about your job you right then yeah definitely the the play driver off there it’s so big and then if i if i am in danger play up the left and you’ve got loads of room here cuz right is dead yeah it’s a nice easy start isn’t it yeah flag no it’s not it is it’s not you’ve hit the back there you’ve hit the hill guaranteed how far have you got it’s one 114 to the front ah user error what was it 121 121 right good thing we know know what we’re doing 121’s like inch into off the left it’s probably playing like 150 so if you hit a 140 shot you well you don’t want to come up short do you no i think the the pitching wedge this is my one 138 club so i can just give this a full go that could go in the hole that one get up great shot can we fast forward to monday now can we get to the like i’m going to submit this round depending on how it goes with the uh the governing body and say this was my open qu left yet though 16 yeah started birdie birdie finished turn over pick that up mock you don’t normally miss from there yeah it’s inside the flag length take it dead straight knock it in birdie birdie cabby’s getting excited here he’s already booked a place at dundonald yep in the middle i keep just leaving the face just slightly open with whether i’m looking for it i need to be a bit more let the toe go from there but i’ll take it anyway where do you is going to be over on the right in the pin right or front again yeah i think the miss is just making sure you get back up to it isn’t it well you don’t want to be short for short yeah i think just just left of them see where your mind is on the red now the green side from the right i’d go yeah i go in i’d split the difference between the two yeah yeah yeah it’s very open fairway isn’t it and there’s more room up the right might do with that perfect stink town great shape on it won’t be far off big lad been the gym this twice this year i think let’s see if you can uh hit the pin this time laser right this time could be a uh quick could be changed quicker than a football manager here that’s the shortest tenure of a football manager a birdie birdie star birdie birdie star but you won a trophy sacked birdie birdie star you gave me a wrong yardage manager yeah you done just double checked 129 yeah good right 129 my 48 wedge goes 128 but it’s down off the right isn’t it i think just shy of 3/4 or just past 3/4 front’s only 115 dead at it absolutely yeah be the right number be the right number tell you what i’m telling everyone it’s coming we just need to bottle it for a week in week’s time and we’ll be gravy baby tiniest bit of left to right oh just dove a little bit more yeah look good strokes yeah i should have kept a bit of pace on that but two under through three yes indeed indeed i want to land this at like 185 don’t i i think six iron nothing for going long wind’s going to be off the left like it’s going to be here isn’t it what now yeah into off the left no it’s off the right if anything is it yeah the flag was blowing that way as well moving that way a bit i think what five five right and just yeah yeah straight down middle of the green isn’t it don’t be entertained by the flag here we go get down that was such a swayy horrible golf swing it’s all right up and down that was the first shot where i thought something before i took it away changed my mind oh well 29 over 44 on sat horrible it’s just a 40 yard pitch this isn’t it yeah such a nasty mud lie that just caught the bunker i don’t think i’ll be that wide when i play fingers crossed anyway spin spin spin not bad yeah i’ll grab that take your five move on take your time right then straight in come on good five at the end of all that yeah we’ll do that just don’t hit it right put that in your notes yeah nothing right so this is one of the holes ben where i’m a little unsure of our fifth now there’s a bunker down there that shot scope are saying is 242 there’s water that starts pretty much 200 yd off the tea but you can get by it at 250 as well so do you go by it or do you go short my play is to hit if it’s wind like it is now which is the prevailing wind four iron that’s right yeah just hit four iron down the right five iron well that’s what i don’t yeah do you hit driver over it all but then do you get to that hump so we’ll we’re going to hit this five iron this is my scoring ball plot it cuz from there the hole is actually only 377 so if you hit it 220 with this down the wind i’m only flicking in a 99 ir that’ll be interesting that’s as far as right as i’m going to hit it that was a don’t go in the water swing give me a crack with that as where this it will cover the water but is it a a silly play what do you mean getting too close to the bank well i think if you smother it you’re in the water aren’t you but if you hit a good one you’re only flicking over well it will hit a good one then okay easy as that see plots that’s one ball gone i think i know the decision there even if i hit a terrible five iron we’re okay i need to chill a little bit got a bit excited by my score early on there this is more of a factf finding mission would you reach that pond with a five if you hit a pull hook yeah i think anything can go in it cuz it’s all the way up the left isn’t it well i think just a five iron is the easiest one to hit down isn’t it cuz i think that was terrible and i probably only got seven iron in yeah 59 front downwind out of i mean i don’t think we’ll get much of a worse lie than that if i were to miss the fairway up against the state trees you’re getting relief there’s a bad spot and there so 165 downwind out of the rough i need to land it 140 don’t i pitching wedge i couldn’t have taken any more club to get it out of that wise so oh dear bit of a turbulent two holes after the dream start it’s uh 58 and just land it just into the the fringe and just let it bumble up yeah nothing special is it yeah you see how big like the surface is there driver you’re just not for the risk and reward it’s not worth it is it no p something down that’s the worst five iron that i’m going to hit and the worst lie that we could have got like that bit too short that but it’ll do and it’s the first bit of spin i’ve got this year these are the sort of putts you would want to build a little momentum on i think we uh that double i’m not worried about cuz we stood waiting for 10 15 minutes was just chatting away but come on come on i mean looking back now it’s it’s quite an easy old really yeah i think overthought it a bit too much a tad unfortunate there with a poor lie and a chip that didn’t release out the rough but hey ho we’re learning it’s what today’s about learning this is statistically the hardest hole for all the shot scope users 448 yds there’s two bunkers down the right here that are uh 230 to cover and then the one seeing the left yeah that’s um 289 to get to i think drive the way the wind is used to be quite heavy rough down here as well but i think if we just hit the drives that have hit down what’s your line here see the the two towers sticking up i think just straight at those and that’s the middle of the fairway isn’t it winds here i think just a good swing at them and get back on track nice just at them yeah that’ll do a little bit out of the bottom but it looks hey it’s in play it’s in play those two different it’s obviously all the things with a practice round as well you got to look at where the wind is and today if we look at what our wind’s doing here a moderate breeze from the south and then if we just look at monday it’s just slightly different so we’re out at seven a gentle breeze from the west so it’s it’s not going to flip on its head too much which is good like sometimes you’ll play a practice round you’ll play a whole downwind you come back play the comp and you’re into winders uh we’ll have this where if it’s coming from the south now which is behind uh sorry the south that way it’s going to be coming from the west so it’ll just be a little bit more across so i’ll be in a similar spot all beam well what do you reckon 187 185 look at this laser eye kaka 185 into 175’s front 185 into off the left this all falls in left the two trees i think just hit a six iron just little punchy cut at them don’t entertain the bunkers that are short right oh that’s two full irons where the six iron have just slid and not turned just got to exaggerate that feeling on the next few that was similar to that part of three yeah just a up there and didn’t just got to feel a bit more on top of it you can miss it left or right as long as you’re past pin high can’t you is the the play here don’t entertain those horrible nasty little pot bunkers at the front not a lot going on here it’s going to go up the slope then down it i want to stay pretty pretty straight all the way good put right this one’s the next one on par five this is where fairway is about this big and the misses are about this big and the penalty is about this big so we need to uh we need to get in the lab here benjamin we need to what get in the lab we might be in seven eye off this tea this one par five the seventh normally par five head cover comes off but there is a bunker at 281 down the fairway there’s narrow down there as well isn’t it yeah there’s water that starts as well pretty much around the s well it actually starts earlier but the pond doesn’t get much sort of wider as you get it gets wider as you go further down and then the layup’s even harder you’re not going for it generally in two here cuz it’s a a narrow landing spot unless we get one bouncing up to the bunker and we can get one there but it’s not driver i’m honestly thinking it’s a four iron here how far is that bunker uh 280 so i think if i bust a rescue my rescue flies 235 but what i don’t want to do is get that popping up in the air and bring the right into play if i know i’m not going for it in two two yeah i think it’s four iron down four like four five iron on and then just wedge it to the corner and then wedge it across that makes sense yep take that a little bit towy but it’s down there yeah it’s one of the like i don’t want to make silly mistakes no and try and chasing it at this point six holes in if we were level par i think that’s good score i personally think oh you take level one one under gets you through this year level got through last year it’s not like be like making mistakes from being greedy that like unforced errors and there now if we say we’re not going for it in two and you’ll see why when we get up by the green the water eats in it’s a very narrow area and the um the green’s very hard so it’s easy to go over the back and there’s out of bounds about 10 paces from there so i think having the strategy of no don’t yeah make birdie by making like hitting wedge wedge yeah up and down it’s uh well it’s 290 middle and the pins back it’s 309 to the back i got 329 then so we’re we’re 20 so it will be 309 so i need to hit it i want to have 100 yards so i need to hit it it’s 302 the flag 302 so i need to hit it 200 y yeah for a nice wedge in yeah how far should see that mat like where this where it humps up yeah 189 189 that’s where it gets do you think we hit seven i just take that out of play again yeah and then i’ll just have to have like a 120 shot yeah yeah see that can you see the pole sticking through the trees the white pole yeah yeah just aim it at that nice angle in then as well little punch at that figure my iron swing out here as well get left on it wind’s got all of it a bit but it’s all right that’s only got about 170 see that’s where we i hit it last time played here in february if you’ve not seen that video check it out i knocked one out of bounds hit driver up to the bunker then i hit four iron just shy of the water it was touch and go as where now i’m going to have a wedge in yeah he’s coming down here that’s all you need to got to not look at as oh par five guaranteed bird oh no right little bit more than we wanted but be nice it’s in play where that knowledge you probably got best part of 18 yards to hit it into 139 of your wedge yeah i think pitching wedge slightly right maybe wind’s going to push it slightly right isn’t it or we can put to that length that’s a way to play this one we’ve been given the authorative order there caddy master says he’s not going for it the driver is definitely staying in the bag he’s actually going to hand it to a spectator if we got any not a lot going on here not a lot going on more uphill than anything i hope this goes in just to give validation to the strategy oh good effort yeah well played yeah i definitely think it’s a three shooter it’s a three shooter actually getting terrifically warm here in the aisles of britain at the moment have to dethrone cue the sexy music the process is it’s a very plotty course i think up to now um made a few notes you got the first roll drive you can open your shoulders there but after that it’s a lot of irons off the te’s the greens are quite big and open um as long as you don’t miss him in the wrong place but i think he’ll plot it around here no problem yeah and like you say not it’s not driver on every hole absolutely not a uh bit of a strong will from yourself to keep driver out of my box no it’s not going anywhere near it if i tell him not to um but no it’s it’s not the play like that there the last that power five it’s definitely a three shot of that um it’s narrow off the tea and then if you’re going in with a long guy in for your second it’s just brings in trouble again so it’s definitely a three shooter and try and get a good chance at a birdie but yeah driver staying in the bag the 8 344 bunkers at 212 a water ditch that runs pretty much from here all the way round to about 270 up the hole so it’s a it’s a strange one this one you can i think you can over complicate the holes here a little bit as where hit it 200 you’ve got 140 in simple as that like wedge don’t overthink if you got a wedge in your hand you should have a good birdie chance shouldn’t you yeah exactly got five iron and just go at the corner of the reads there if i flare it i don’t get don’t get to the traps with five iron that’s all we need to do don’t over complicate it just do that probably could have hit four iron into the wind there but it’s fine there yeah you reckon a little chippy eight or a nine i think keep it under the wind maybe it is up isn’t it straight into it i think a lower n lower eight lower eight just three quarters the sign posts in the back just a little at those just dink it forward just dink that’s the word we’re looking for keep the body turning as long as it gets past that trap on the on the right we’re all good aren’t we that’s a one go a bit go a bit go a bit caught it a tiny bit that’s it yeah i caught it a bit heavy not as bad as i actually thought there only 15 ft a little bit of left to right in this would you say yeah it comes off that bunker on the right go good line good put really happy how i actually hit that bar the pace it was started online struck just a bit more uphill so what you’re doing going straight over this yeah the middle of the fairway from us is where that trap yeah can you see the um the one in the distance yeah yeah the green side trap the hole’s 437 so i think if we just blast it there even if you pull it you’re not getting to those bushes and if you flare it it’s fine go on then just straight at the that last last pine tree over the trap yeah the edge of them a little bit out the toe but it’s fine it’s fine bit further left than the yolked yeah it’s got it i mean slightly towy but this new strategy of actually aiming at the fairway instead of aiming into a different county and trying to work it back does it help it you know what there’s method to the madness hello we had a [Applause] no never been good with birds um we had a feeasant last time now we got a a ducky what we looking at here 114 front 130 middle that’s going to be 131 134 ooh you’re an inquisitive little thing have we got any food for it look he’s look he’s getting the ball just go the ball here you go have some granola here you go 48 yeah at the flag in the distance don’t entertain that flag do we what you going to do aim at that other flag yeah i think so drifting yeah 10 foot right i can hold puts like that get in not your best but it’ll do it’s on the green yeah just came out of that looking at our friend here shirley shirley the quack simples one over for nine just that blip of a double blip of a double and a bogey but i think we’ve made some good decisions there about a few holes that was a little bit curious about that par five especially and that other hole by the water back nine now see what we can do right then 10th this is another hole where i need to figure it out the um the bunkers down there 195 and 250 to get by the hole is only 350 so i think we just hit shy and wedge it in again on the five iron or something 195 wind off the left i think just a six iron so we definitely don’t get to it five iron i hit it well it’ll go in the play with driver if we hit that and pull it yeah just at almost at the end of over the corner of this bush isn’t it the end of the trees in the distance bang a six iron as hard as you can down there i had that six iron out then and my thoughts were don’t hit the same shot you hit with the last three so i’m going to dig it instead solid thoughts matt yeah you need to get them out your head yeah clear about the the shot the good news is though i think like with that as we said earlier those like force in a net like a shot if i try and hit driver and cut it around the corner pull it dead push it dead there i’ve hit that’s the worst six iron i’ve hit and now i’m going to have nine iron in yeah yeah tops it’s not a n iron with this wind wind’s there pin’s front this pin will be sort of front right top behind the bunker but i think just play shy of that because you could maybe get it in the gap but then you risk hitting it in the bunker don’t you you could hit a five iron off it yeah there’s that necky one good straight bounce for me yep like i say i don’t think it’s worth it driver down here no is it those are two terrible golf shots and we’ve already put hello you can actually see old holes there if you like the trick is when you play your practice round normally on the sunday all the dots are out so you’d actually know where the pins are obviously we’re a week early for filming purposes we’re not getting that sneak you know but won’t need it when we hit 18 greens in rag yeah good take that job done so that’s the for me where i’d make big numbers is trying to force something like a driver off the like and as where there if it wasn’t as deep as that and as narrow on the angle i don’t then i go for it but if i’m only hitting nine iron wedge i hit them just as close as i do wedges anyway normally 167 wind off the right we’re saying seven iron just hold it up against it little dave cutington’s i think here it was just hit the middle of the green in it on the day go on pin with a mediocre strike it’s what it’s all about ben it is make it simple for yourself well i am simple you know that this is going to work a little bit of right to left magic on it these are the pots here just you know just the odd one of these around gets the juices going we’re not far away just thinking they’re a bit quicker than they are i’ve hit them all if the pin is on the back you don’t want to go long there no no i think just pin eye left’s your good miss isn’t it pin if anything yeah yeah yeah looking at it stay away from that cover this as long as you cover that bunker and it’s up the left portion the easiest chip here isn’t it this is another hole that’s a bit do you hit driver or not there’s like these humps and swelles in the middle of the hairway the hole’s 450 itself 260 to the uh to the umps is it 435 the hole 260 and if you get in them it’s whether you pull a lie or not you might get a little bit or you might not be able to launch it so i think i think three-wood winds out of the right just cut a 3-wood at the trap on the green yeah well stay short the uh yeah just to stay short and then 260 so that means 401 going to be 170 in from there roughly so we’re looking at like 78 iron can you get over them 260 depends on the wind doesn’t it cuz it’s wide open slightly down as well it’s helping let’s go driver and see where we end up and then we know to see what the lie is like cuz if it is downwind on the day there’s no real danger it’s a big wide open fairway and if i’m hitting driver well may as well let the wind straighten it out and see what we get really didn’t see it bounce no it just sort of must have made it over him like it probably bounced on the other side of it so we can’t see it we will soon find out to be continued we hit a bit of a sky there out the top of the driver and it’s pitched and stopped dead pretty much we’re only 140 front as well so i think wherever you go and i don’t think the kick’s going to be that severe no that it would put it into danger no no chance and if you get it over all of a sudden it becomes a bit easier and it’s wide isn’t it if the wind’s down and off the right a little bit i’d go for that depending on score if i’m like three under at the point four iron down five iron in what are we now 163 want to land it 155 nine ir out of that yeah thank you yeah it’s fine yeah you can actually see where the ball’s pitched there not really pitched and rolled back down he’s being overly aggressive with his pups today for birdie easy yeah i think that’s problemsome you can over complicate it can’t you like just whack driver down there and you got a wedge on if it’s a bad one you’re going to hit wedge anyway aim at the middle like there your aim point’s middle isn’t it and you got a simpleish put all the way through don’t try and do anything fantastic this is a weird hole the next one another par five that you can’t hit drivers in matthew happy with your strategy so far yeah um not really hit many bad golf shot that par three one just a little bit wonky there more just waiting and not concentrating there but overall i think i’m after coming back 2 months later and seeing it more like what it will be like on the day um i think i was maybe a little bit over overpowered by it sort of thinking oh you really need to hit it really well off the tea but actually if you just plot it round as ben said you can make it a lot easier because actually into the greens the shots are aren’t overly difficult it’s just don’t be greedy and force something i think especially on a day like open qual there’ll be lots of people having blow up so if you can just hang around level for the majority and getting at one under two under you know that will be be really good there and it’s like this hole for instance 13509 par5 again we i think in the book we put down that we play it ideally as a three shooter yeah because there’s um a water hazard that’s running through the fairway now at this one at it starts at 260 and runs across and you’re dead there’s bunkers all the way down there so it’s a case of just plotting it down you could go at it in two don’t be let ego take over i’m going to probably hit four iron maybe down here just so i’m not in bringing the traps into play try and build the score from there get down short of the trouble anyway there definitely a three shore thanks caddyy well the good news there is pulled it shy of all the rubbish now i can just wedge over wedge on again don’t make big errors from forcing something while we’re dead so it’s definitely a three shooter ideally we want to try and get over near that track cuz it opens it up the flag’s directly down my line here if i’d pulled a really nice line i’d actually be tempted to cut a six iron up over but here i’m just going to wedge out and hit nine iron in just not take the the trees in [Applause] fairway yeah that’ll do take your medicine see where you are now if you just look where we are if we can get it somewhere over here at this point now to the green if we try and get it to here we’re actually only 260 to the green so you could just whiz 3wood up to near the front there because there’s no danger so don’t have to be greedy almost play it in reverse this whole the natural bunker in front of the uh the flag there so as long as we cover that what was the flag from here 178 178 and it’s now gale force swings 178 playing like 200 i think a five iron see the the car behind the green or the hut yeah just at the heart of it and a good one of them good shot matt why did a miss luckily it’s teed up like a something on a carrot 35 yds there try and dunk it take a put oh not to worry there a little bogey 14th hole here you only 40% of fairways and 29% of greens are hit here sort of see how especially when it’s blowing a hulaer like this 400 yds this hole and that bunker down there ben 220 to get by and those in the distance 300 you think it’s just a 3-wood that gets past all that that trap doesn’t it lays short of that wind’s that’s a play i think the wind’s going to be about 15 mph less when we uh play perfect that came out of the middle of the middle of the middle well that’s a good sign they should probably frame it after that shot it’s not doing any better than that right what we looking at big boy 146 into the sticks it’s a little wind isn’t it it looks a tricky green for me this yeah that pin’s middle left why is it like a bowl a little bit yeah it will kick in that’s fine pin right i think that’s the shot isn’t it get it past that it’s more up and then down isn’t it probably equals itself out yeah come on let’s hole a pot i’m so close to holding putts fairways greens yeah it’s easy isn’t it to be fair we want to save all the putts going in now keep them for the monday so that’s why i’m just missing each time at least i got that one past the hole though i’m very happy with how it’s going i think the wind that we’ve faced over those last sort of six holes should be about double what we will face looking at the uh schedule ahead so i think that was sort of the testing wind there because of a lot of it was into you don’t really get it across much here it’s no with or against so quite happy with the score obviously we’ll pay a bit more attention to putts on on the day but if i can do what i’m doing off the tea and hit some greens like we are doing we’re we’re in the right camp here now this hole 15 is another one where we need to get a little figuring out done i think the aim of today was to come here we listed those five holes or so that at the start of the video that we wanted to um wanted to address i knew what i was doing the rest of the way so i think i’ve got like i’m clear on what i want to do on four i’m clear what i want to do on that par five the seventh holes like the next par five i’ve got really clear mind is where beforehand i was like oh you could maybe hit drive or you could squeeze things so no i don’t think up to now i think we’ve we’ve sort of put a really good plan in together and um we just got to try and stick to it and try and keep the same energy level as well i’ve not been bothered by a shot yet when it’s not quite gone to plan like that par five one where i’ve turned hooked it in the past i would have lost my marbles but it’s all about not spending your uh your energy right 372 this hole there’s a bunker at 260 i think rescue yeah shy of it leave it at 250 you can tell that by the way the te’s is always a good sign if you struggle with um what to hit off blind holes look at what’s going on a lot of irons being hit off here it’s maybe downwind sometimes so bunker at 260 i think if i just squeeze a little rescue just just a tiny bit right of the pole and we’re we’re all gravy sharp wait and see well it went over the pole and turned a couple of yards and it’s gone 250 so it should be nailed on perfect so my practice rounds are uh are great i said the bunker was down the right it’s on the left 260 we’re about 12 paces behind it so job is a gooden should have about 136 i reckon to the flag 129 tiny bit right of it see the tall trees behind yeah that gap in between yeah just a good swing at them isn’t it go on go go go it’s just pitched on and spun back down the hill it’s not the actual worst miss roll this up drop it in roll thought you were saving them well i thought you know just one just to just to wet our whistle you know just to wet the whistle pin’s definitely going to be about exactly where that ball stops will be where the pin is everyone remember that when you watch the video back next week remember to like and subscribe as well that’s where the pin will be on 15 make a note of it it’ll be 24 on i reckon and 1 2 3 9 5 6 yeah 9 right down and off the left the 16th right 186 downwind that would be a seven can i have eight iron please 170 front do you think the um the sort of bench the pylon behind the at the clubhouse the starters hut that’s the shot in it leave it wind leave it another green it’ll do just keep it in these shots inside to distance and i’m getting it’ll do it going to be a hype man tiny bit of left to right in this tiny it it’s going the other way easy yeah i think that’s a pretty straightforward par three isn’t it sort of landing it middle well my notes say nothing to report yeah there’s a good miss but i’ll just hit the green instead yeah remember we’ve got to play the par the 18th is a par you see down in the distance the poppplers that’s where the green is and if you end up left you can’t get to the green so you actually want to where the bunkers are you actually want to finish over the bunkers to have a go at it in two now at this point of the round if i was at the same score i’m one over currently i’d be i’d be thinking we need to make birdie and i’d want to go for it in two so i think given where the wind is and what happens if you’re one under now and what if i’m one under i’d hit a iron down i’d hit something to 220 well mind you if it’s two it’s only 250 to go from the green from 240 let’s hit driver and see where we go wind’s down off the left which is actually pushing it into that corridor and there’s actually more room than you think it’s rough but it’s actually on the left yeah went over the mounds be interesting to see where that’s finished cuz good strike can really flight though that but we shall see an executive decision has been made we found the golf ball it’s absolutely badgered here almost i don’t know whether it’s plugged or not but it’s not the line i hit it where i wanted to so now i’ve got to wedge out so it’s going to be a case of i don’t actually think you can go for this greening two again so wedge out try and build it with a chip and a putt that one hurt done well there get that out four iron bend so on no par fives will we be hitting driver that’s a first 127 middle down the wind you reckon 48 just a 3/4 48 that’ll be plenty won’t it with this wind think yeah nice see it was driver out and then hit it 10 foot you lucky to find it i’m glad uh we hit driver there because that was the actual line i intended and yes it’s panned out that we got a birdie putt from 10 foot but it was touch and go is where cameraman’s just said do the same by hitting four iron six iron pitch on get him on the bag and you can go on cameraman it suit me what we thinking don’t leave the hole it’s not much at all no no no don’t leave the outside yeah if anything this now is potentially to get me through to next stage at this point so we just got to trust in the abilities you’ve always been a great putter if you hit it on that line baited into driver it’s mad that to think you got three par fives and you’re not going to hit driver off any of them to be fair each one of them bar that one where the for some reason the fan came on at exceedingly high winds we had a good look at birdie just by plotting it down this would normally be a par five for the members but it would be a par four so if i make four i get through if i make three i’m definitely in first bunker is 300 into a uh a stiff breeze let’s just show you gone stiff breeze that’s like a 23 club wind now so just dead at it 470 is probably playing 520 today as a par four got to hit a good one got to hit a good one go on beauty wind just pushed it it’s just just off the fairway on the right but i hope it doesn’t get as windy as this no well mind you if we had this score in this wind i think i would actually qualify but it’s a practice round and there’s no nerves so i’ll be 12 over i would really 12 under 233 into a par 4 and i hit a good drive fairly low out of the wind 470 so that’s gone it’s gone 240 that into the wind it’s like a 50 m 50 yard wind that um do you think 3wood or hybrid the front’s 210 what keeps it lower threewood that won’t be too big 240 back given that we just hit driver there too probably threewood then ain’t it yeah threewood to a uh a 10 yard window yeah good luck imagine this you need power down the last and you got threewood into it get out of that junk it’s playing a long way that that’s ridiculous i hit that pretty well and it’s gone 210 maybe imagine needing par there in that wind two good shots there right so that pin’s 40 i need to pitch it 35 right matt let’s chip it in then dr chapinsky settle [Music] got to be good eight foot past it chances chances [Music] oh that’s a class shot from there your crowd is so unappreciating did that go close to being near in just went over the right hand side yeah i didn’t even get oh disgusting levels of expectation what are you now i’d be one over now i think if with the wind with the wind today i think this would either play off or get in such a big p it’s what we like for tires and diamonds pressure yeah solid solid ladies and gentlemen is me qualified rna one over
