hey everyone quick update so I started out the season reshafting my irons with a new set of motus 115x and I figured while I was at it I wanted to try the jumbo Max mediums so I reshafted all third to my clubs I’ve probably hit 100 to 200 balls with it played a few holes here and there on some moderately cold days when I could get out and I like it gave me a oneway Miss which what I was which is what I was kind of coming into the season working on but if I really wanted to turn one over I had a hard time doing it a draw it’s not impossible but it’s really hard and I naturally draw the ball which is surprising so last year I played the MCC plus four lines like the grip I like the texture I like the feel of it I like the reduced taper on the bottom hand but I had a two-way Miss and I could overcook the ball and overdraw it which is what I wanted to get rid of so I tried these now I need to find a middle ground these are definitely fade friendly these were a little bit overdraw friendly so in the mail today I got a set of champ key grips came with the grips came with tape came with solvent razor blade a rubber Vice thing cool $57 can’t beat it so where does that end up in the lineup well it kind of hits The Sweet Spot that I was looking for right it’s it’s definitely bigger than the the midsize Golf Pride not by a whole lot but enough that I can tell a difference with the eye it’s definitely smaller than the jumbo Max mediums so it’s kind of hitting that sweet spot that I was looking for hopefully I can control the the draw a little bit more and play a fade when I want to and still reduce a large two-way mess but since these two are closer we’ll just do a quick side by side again the tops it’s definitely bigger the bottoms both are reduced taper still have a fairly similar design paintings not the greatest on this but I don’t necessarily care about the painting one thing I do notice that gol PR does that’s much better than others is the same reduced taper design but they really actually taper their end down so it looks cleaner on the golf club you can kind of see that right there from those lines down where champ key doesn’t and you end up with this big fat rubbery end on it so it looks like this would have more feel but I’m sure it’s it’s fairly built up there as well for that that lower hand that’s where we’re at I’m going to throw these on this week hit the range hopefully it stops blowing under 20 M hour in the next couple days and warms up with the sco but I’m going to threw these on today and we’ll see how they feel thanks for tuning in
