so you found yourself here one of two ways one you’re a golf person and saw the title and thumbnail and are intrigued or two you’ve been following my football content over the years and are confused why I’m posting a golf video well for the second year in a row thanks to your guys’ engagement I got to play in the US Open Content Creator Day so with that let’s send it out to Pittsburgh for live coverage of the round thank you Max i’m Bo Jurro alongside absolutely nobody but thrilled to be bringing you full coverage of your round at Oakmont Country Club it’s widely considered the most difficult course in the United States today we will find out if an 11 handicap can break 90 under United States Open conditions we caught up with Brown just before the round all right we’re here Oakmont Country Club heard all about this track from living in Pittsburgh for a full year when I missed the US Open back when I was here in 2016 fired up to play this course today trying to shoot sub90 don’t know if that’s going to be possible with uh US Open conditions but uh we’re going to give a run at it golf game’s in better shape this year than when I played in this last year we’re at the US Open Creator Day let’s uh let’s see what we can do sources say he’s fresh off a bachelor party in Cabo so hydration’s low anxiety is high ahead of this first T-shot that’s nowhere near the fairway but should still be in play the big question today when he inevitably ends up in Oakmont’s famous rough will he be able to find his ball we’ll take that we’ll take that looks like he has is he’s perched up here on a little ledge and we’re getting our first look at the lush greenery of Western PA he’s walking after it like he did something special and nothing says I was a pocket passer not a dual threat like those hops right there think solid there we go we’re putting best two words you can hear after your second shot this is a hell of a first putt of the day his first lag putt of the day way short get in the wait room Sally what is that that is me being scared of US Open Greens yeah no kidding bro what in the world was that kids playing tentative early on some say that’s exactly how he looked versus Bama in 2016 but maybe I spoke too soon brown cleans it up with a nice bogey save as we head to the second run yeah that ain’t it he’s smiling but he better wipe that grin off and lock in or it’s going to be a long day hit it too low that felt good too that was close nice positioning should have a clean look with the 60° there we go great shot there we go yep appreciate you all right all right yep get up there we’ll take it so this is a slow putt for Oakmont see what we can do hold on good put it up there that’s literally decent lag he’ll tap in for another bogey i mean no no need to show us the five we can count bogeies won’t hurt you in the pursuit of breaking 90 but what will hurt you the world famous par4 third with those iconic Church Pew bunkers looming down the left i feel like for me as like an amateur golf guy this is one of like five holes i feel like in all of golf that like I know like in my head there’s what seven at Pebble Beach this is one of them right here because I said that we’re about to stripe one in the middle of the fairway he called his shot absolutely stripe 305 maybe 310 down the right side of the fairway past the bunkers but can he convert let’s go we called that ooh the divot king he’s walking after it like he likes it there we go not so tentative there kids may be a little amped up oo the hood came up midback swing you hate to see that let’s look at that again you know he’s known for having a giraffe neck so there’s a lot of surface area for the hood to come up and hit well the elements of Oakmont have entered the chat his third straight five to start the round shout out to Reggie Bush Collection hood nah not ideal on that one but kangaroo pouch money it’s a bummer the shot tracer didn’t pick that up because that’s backto back drives ripped right down the middle in fact that might have been too much that’s what I’m talking about that’s what I’m talking about looks like he’s going to be okay here’s a sixiron sounded like he got all of that but blasts it past the hole just a poor club choice by Brown thank you take that that’s crazy how long that stuff is yeah well welcome to Oakmont baby this is an amateur hour well I guess it technically is as we head back to Brown’s tough lag putt go go go tucks it in nice and close we didn’t see that early from him that’s a great sign for Brown as he finds himself carrying some momentum into the fifth hole it’s a disciplined brand of golf right there take your medicine two putt love it pars all day baby pars all day uh well that’s just not what you want to see shanking a two iron like he turned on an inside fast ball those are two good holes we go with the snap hook t-shot just so people don’t think I’m cheating and dropping the ball this is a Titus 4 this is not my ball that’s what I get for talking talking too soon and the hunt hunt continues boom got it it’s a good find looks like he has found it let’s see if he can pick it clean he has but is it too much tugged it get down i picked that clean again no he’ll be fine but he does have a tough chip let’s see how those Cabo hangover nerves are now chill out chill out chill out okay that could have got dangerous i think we survived what the absolute f was that there’s tentative and then there’s being absolutely scared like a husband who came home and forgot it was his anniversary but again Brown finds a way to hit the six-footer kid likes to think he’s gritty while he’s battling for his fifth straight five to start the round and stay on track to break 90 that’s well struck pulled a little but should be fine says cheese yeah tug it tug it a little bit oh just past the right edge the same little fringe putt he’s right he’s had this one before thanks but again the kid converts inside 6 ft i guess why am I fist pumping got a bogey we’ll take it though we’ll take it so you worry about that sometimes coming back from a bachelor party not a ton of sleep maybe some hangover jitters those close ones can get you but not today for Brown the driver is absolutely working for Brown so far he’s had two absolutely awful two irons off the tea but the big stick is dialed felt good he’s got an opportunity to convert here with a 60° in his hand ah and it just doesn’t come off the back stop hate to see it got screwed quality lag putt there gets sharp at the end too and once again Brown putts a six-footer in the back of the cup i tell you what on the quest to break 90 at Oakmont as an 11 handicap Brown’s got to love his start we’ve talked about the nerves well he’s settled in now not sure what happened on the T-shot there get there and out of nowhere the rain has made an appearance brown is from the rainy Pacific Northwest but has lived in LA much of the past decade and it’s made him soft when it comes to the elements what the heck was that gosh dang it no his third from behind the green that’s well done out of the thick stuff thank you hammered it ah we knew it was only a matter of time he misses one inside his six feet and has lost momentum as we head to nine yeah that’s the first absolutely terrible swing with the driver in fact that might be a few holes over sending three holes over yeah he’s going to have to take a drop ah a little punch out to get back on track you know you’re an 11 handicap when you’re fistp pumping punch out shots give me a break he’ll be hitting his third another fat divot for Brown and an excellent shot yeah great shot there thank you a tough pin placement here great fun well read too far he’s in for six and a 44 on the front right on track to break 90 this should be a good one as we head to the back nine at the US Open creator day here at Oakmont so we’ve been hearing about this stretching technique you know we’ve talked about the long neck and the lanky frame is obvious but we talked with his swing coach who mentioned that he has childbearing hips as well he makes it a point to loosen them bad boys up before every nine holes the two iron was a liability on the front nine not on the back nine as he finds himself in prime position looks a little leaky but he should be fine get out of there ah leaked out on me that’s false that one’s going to run away from him a bit he’s had some good putts but can he save par i thought that was going off the back that was so dumb why did I hammer that oh great rod thank you oh wow if you’re going to take a gimme take a gimme but you can’t putt it it looks like the rules official missed it unlike Dustin Johnson’s one-stroke penalty in 2016 it looks like Brown’s going to get away with it here as we head to 11th another pull we saw this with the two iron on seven he’s going to get away with it though as he shanked it so bad he found himself on the ninth fairway in prime position 100 yards out and just a quality golf shot alongside a quality divot opportunity for a birdie chill out chill out not today that would have been it if I didn’t hammer it dude that was a good That was a good line and the rare miss inside six feet on the way back that was an absolute missed opportunity and a bad bogey after an advantageous break for Brown that would have been a fun fun four here’s the T- shot from 12 gets under it can of corn the just shorter to leak in his second shot from just in front of the bunker that’s well struck think Ro left there nurse fairway over there that you can’t see finds himself with the 60° in his hands once again it’s got to go the divot almost went further than his ball gosh that’s weird he’ll take that lag putt all day get it but he can’t convert like he did on the front nine ah we’ve got six holes left can he get in the clubhouse in under 30 strokes par three he’s got to play these clean coming down the stretch and a huge shot right here this cannot become a blowup hole i tell you what his chipping has come to play today anytime you arrive here on property that’s got to be a part of your game that you bring with you it’s got to go gosh dang that’s a weak sauce putt right there but he gets out of here with a solid bogey as we head to 14 another T-OT you guessed it another pull brown’s got to figure that out if he’s going to get this done i won’t hurt you we’ll straighten it out uh-oh oakman is showing its teeth now that is thick well done from there to get it to stay on the green and he’ll have a lag putt from there dude it’s crazy having uh not played competitive sports for what 6 years like the nerves that come back in like a random Monday golf round that’s I have absolute respect for uh the PGA pros that are playing for their livelihood every single week you don’t score you don’t feed your family crazy he’ll get it in for a respectable five i love it a shot shape we’re used to today the question here will be can he find it number eight we’ll go hunting yes it looks like he has his second shot will be from about 200 out no no he’s absolutely shanked it the one thing on his mind is he’s got to avoid the blowup hole decent contact he’ll find himself in the bunker huh actually he won’t it looks like he’ll be on the hillside in a awkward stance his athleticism as a washed up athlete will be tested here chill out survived okay he needs a big two putt now till the thing come on what an atrocious effort can’t be doing this what is this now for a double bogey six and he drains it never thought I’d say this but what a clutch double bogey for Brown as we embark on the final three holes to break 90 sounded great off the club face stay right there on an aggressive line stay right there oh yeah wow the kid sticks it close it looks like it’ll be just off the green but in an ideal spot you can hear the roar and feel the patrons getting behind Brown now for those of you guys that don’t know I do a little par three tracker for the past year and a half i’ve been tracking every single par three that I’ve done we’re up to 80 i think today’s 82 by the time this video comes out we might be into the 90s we’ve flirted with it i’m going to keep tracking it until we uh we get the hole in one this for a birdie too go in go in the hole buckets when he needed it he comes up clutch we didn’t see that much from him when he played football in Pittsburgh but it looks like golf in Pittsburgh is a different story two holes left and has to get into the clubhouse in 13 strokes to break 90 right when we hype him up he pisses down his leg that ball is on the roof hit the roof what do we What What do we think after a search he was forced to drop hitting three here that’s well struck the club was just eaten up by the rough in the bunker hence why it’s 99 out of 100 with grass in my mouth chill out gosh dang it oh no now he’s going bunker to bunker he’s got to calm himself down all right we’re putting we’re putting we thought a six on 15 was good he’ll have this lag putt for double bogey just short if that went in we would have heard the loudest roar ever for a double bogey ah we’ll take it we head to 18 brown sitting with an 84 needs a bogey five to get in the clubhouse under 90 in 2016 we saw historic stakes and pressure when Dustin Johnson was standing on this very T- box he delivered for his first major championship and Brown will look to follow his lead another hook biggest question will be can he find it may have gotten lucky landing on the other T- box okay he’ll be fine an ugly shot there will put an immense amount of pressure on this bunker shot this grass messes with you uh mentally more than uh more than anything we’re putting i will take that as he said he’ll take that now just needs to two putt from there to break 90 okay solid one putt to break 90 he’s done it the 11 handicap has come to Western PA and has broken 90 at Oakmont Country Club hey hey hey
