🏌️‍♂️ Catch all the golf highlights from an exciting week on the PGA and LPGA Tours!

At the RBC Heritage 2025 in Hilton Head Island, Justin Thomas made a stunning comeback, securing his first PGA Tour victory in nearly three years after a thrilling playoff against Andrew Novak. Thomas also set a new course record with a blazing 61 in the opening round at Harbour Town Golf Links, marking his 16th career win — a milestone reached by only six players before turning 32.

💥 Bonus drama: Thomas’s substitute caddie Joe Greiner stepped in last minute due to the regular caddie’s injury — earning an estimated $360K payout! Plus, Thomas’s sportsmanship shone through after self-reporting a penalty earlier in the tournament.

On the LPGA Tour, Esther Henseleit battled hard at the JM Eagle LA Championship, climbing the leaderboard with an impressive round of 66. Meanwhile, Jeremy Paul of Golf Team Germany made waves at the Corales Puntacana Championship, climbing into the top 5 with solid scrambling skills.

Stay tuned for all the action, player stories, and key moments from this thrilling golf week!

that we also checked the official World Golf ranking obviously standard procedure and got a different angle on Harbortown from golf each plus you know dove into the glorious chaos of the Reddit golf threads always a source of unique perspectives ah you could say that so our mission for this deep dive pretty straightforward yeah we’re here to break down the most talked about moments the uh surprise results and maybe some of those spicy controversial takes give you quick the deep understanding of what’s really hot in golf right now let’s do it okay let’s jump right in pga Tour RBC Heritage man talk about a pressure cooker seriously Justin Thomas finally back in the winner circle it felt like forever didn’t it almost three years since uh the 2022 PGA Championship yeah long time between wins for a player of his caliber and he snatched it in a playoff against Andrew Novak that tension wow you could just feel it it wasn’t just the playoff drama though was it remember that start oh absolutely he came out guns blazing set a new course record at Harbortown a 61 a 61 in round one i mean after such a dry spell that kind of start it tells you something about his mindset right sally like he just flipped a switch or maybe the Harbortown gnomes helped him out huh could be whatever it was it set him up perfectly and paid off big time 3.6 million bucks from that massive $20 million purse that’s the standard now for these PGA Tour signature events isn’t it huge money crazy money and if you caught those YouTube highlights some wild moments in that final round oh yeah like what well there was this one par save honestly it felt like it had more luck involved than skill like how did that stay out of the water right i think I know the one you mean sometimes you need those breaks though that’s golf true pure grit maybe scrappy yeah sometimes those scrappy saves are what win you tournaments speaking of turning points uh Reddit was absolutely on fire after the win oh man the Reddit verse it was wild so much love for JT breaking the drought you could like feel the relief from his fans definitely a popular win in that sense but then ouch the flip side so much disappointment for Novak getting that close brutal absolutely brutal that’s the tough part of sport and of course it wouldn’t be Reddit without uh some strong opinions on the CBS broadcast the camera work the audio yeah that seems to be a recurring theme never change internet never change it’s funny how the broadcast itself is such a big part of how people experience it now but um beyond the broadcast complaints what else stood out on Reddit well the Caddy situation got a lot of chatter you know Jim Bones Mai wasn’t on the bag right grinder filled in because Minister had a back issue I think yeah exactly and now JT wins with Grryer so the question is does that partnership become permanent that’s a massive question isn’t it a win like that first time out together basically it makes you think it’s like a movie script the fill-in caddy helps him break the drought grer’s got to have a good shot at keeping the job right you’d think so it’ll be interesting to see how that plays out and another cool thing from Reddit people pointed out Thomas called that penalty on himself earlier in the week oh yeah i saw that when his ball moved slightly a dress right and there was this kind of feeling like his win was maybe a bit of karma good karma for the integrity yeah golf fans really appreciate that stuff that honesty it adds another layer to the win doesn’t it especially in a game of inches totally but then the foot again Novak’s missed putt in the playoff that was tough to The Reddit armshare quarterbacks were out in full force analyzing that one nerves bad read too much pressure all of the above probably it’s just Yeah a brutal moment under the biggest spotlight so tough but hey that’s the drama right keeps us watching absolutely now uh looking at the other finishers based on that golf.ca prize money breakdown novak obviously second and then a big log jam at T3 Daniel Burgerer Brian Harmon Mackenzie Hughes Maverick McNeely too right and Tommy Fleetwood was seventh scotty Sheffler and Cebu Kim T8 decent week for Sheffller even without the win still a stack leaderboard there shows the depth doesn’t it even the week after a major and uh an interesting little note on Stefan Joerger oh yeah what about him he finished T32 but he kept this weird streak going he’s made at least one double bogey in his last seven rounds now seriously seven rounds in a row that a double yep this time it was the fourth hole on Sunday it’s just a quirky stat but it kind of shows how even solid players can have that one blowup hole wow that’s almost hard to do like a tiny gremlin just follows them around shows how tough this game is mentally exactly okay uh should we switch gears lpga yeah let’s do it jm Eagle LA Championship esther Henselite big moving day for her yeah really strong Saturday shot a 66 which is fantastic with a double bogey that shows some serious bounceback ability it does climbed up to T12 going into Sunday and the stats were incredible had 17 of 18 greens 17 that’s just machine-like ball striking and eight birdies too wow just firing at pins seriously impressive and Golf.d made a good point this kind of form could be a really positive sign for the Chevron Championship coming up the first major of the year right she played well there last year didn’t she yeah finished seventh so maybe this is her year to really contend in a major could be that kind of iron play is exactly what you need in majors she’s definitely trending nicely who is leading after Saturday it was actually a three-way tie at the top aki Away from Japan Lauren Coughlin from the US and Ingred Lindblad the amateur from Sweden oh Lindlad still an amateur contending that’s awesome yeah really impressive a proper international battle shaping up there love to see it what about the other German players uh let’s see pauly Mack finished 67th unfortunately Olivia Cowan Sophia Popoff and Caroline Mason missed the cut this time uh tough week for them it’s such a grind out there it really is consistency is everything they’ll bounce back okay uh back to the PGA tour for a sec the other event the Corales Pontakana Championship right the alternate field event jeremy Paul was making a move there yeah jumped up to T5 after a 67 on Saturday he was sitting at uh minus3 yep just four shots back at the leader Joel Domen heading into Sunday and golf.de DE highlighted his scrambling that was pretty amazing what was this stat again he missed seven greens but got up and down six times six out of seven that’s unreal scrambling seriously clutch that saves you so many shocks doesn’t it when your iron game isn’t quite firing but your short game is dialed in absolutely that’s often the difference maker and uh the other golf team Germany guys Thomas Roseniller and Mattie Schmid also moved up on Saturday good to see Rosen Miller T15 Schmid T21 solid showings yeah encouraging performances from them and the leaderboard there had Domin leading followed by Chan Kim Michael Thorjonson and Garrick Higgo close behind right okay and one last stop the Cornferry tour lam Sun Coast Classic yep quick update there yonis Bombgartner the only German player unfortunately missed the cut a shame but the tournament ended with some excitement neil Shipley won it in a playoff oh Shipley the guy who was low amateur at the Masters and Augusta National that’s the one beat Sun Take Lee in the playoff big win for him on the corn ferry that tour is such a stepping stone huge win builds that momentum right just that experience under pressure exactly and just a quick nod as always to the wider golf world flashcore keeps track of you know Livy Golf the DP World Tour scores and rankings are always updating never a dull moment somewhere in the golf universe it’s non-stop pretty much and of course underpinning it all is the official World Golf ranking the big door keeping track of who’s up who’s down shaking things up every week it’s that objective measure we always reference helps understand the uh the global pecking order right then let’s try and uh wrap this up if you had to boil it down what are the big headlines from this golf week okay headline number one no question justin Thomas breaking that winless streak at the RBC Heritage huge story absolutely the emotion the playoff top story then I’d say Esther Henselite’s really strong form on the LPJ tour especially that ball striking heading into the first major that’s significant good call definitely one to watch at the Chevron and maybe Jeremy Paul’s performance particularly that amazing scrambling at the Corales Pontaana showed some real fight yeah agreed those are the key takeaways for sure and it gets you thinking doesn’t it how so well like with Thomas winning after that long wait plus calling the penalty on himself what does that really tell you about the mental game in golf and maybe the integrity piece even at that elite level that’s a great point the mental fortitude required is immense and seeing that kind of honesty it resonates you know yeah or think about all those Reddit reactions the good the bad the funny about the broadcast the players what actually makes golf compelling to watch for like the modern fan what hooks people in another fantastic question is it the drama the personalities the shot making the way it’s presented it’s probably a mix of everything isn’t it probably is we want to know what you think though seriously hit us up with your thoughts your spicy takes yeah jump into the conversation what stood out for you this week what makes you tune
