you’ll be okay just make sure you stay on that side thank you that was good round today all right Victor Havlin three over 73 can you just talk us through the round out there today it was obviously a grind yeah just didn’t have it today just uh didn’t hit it very good and I’d missed way too many short putts just didn’t didn’t make anything so uh it was a grind but uh happy to battle back at least and it was a very nice week ultimately going to come up a little bit short but what what are some of your takeaways from this week still a good showing yeah I mean I keep progressing in the right direction and to have a chance to win a major championship without my best stuff and not feeling very comfortable it’s uh it’s uh super cool so I’m going to take a lot of positives with me this week victor you were out working the range late last night did Did you find anything in that uh process that you could kind of bring into today or was it still sort of fighting it kind of all day fighting it a little bit uh I wouldn’t say I found something but it was uh at least uh reestablished the pattern a little bit got back to some of the things that uh kind of ruled out some of the feels that okay I’m not I shouldn’t try this and kind of go back to closer to where I was uh the first couple of days uh just didn’t time it up uh very well today what did you do during the break to sort of stay loose resetment just sat with my uh parents and chatted a little bit saw my phone talking with a few buddies back home that was about it it went by pretty quick were you aware of what was going on behind you and in some cases in front of you uh I mean I saw a lot of stuff and obviously from the crowd reactions there was a lot of up and down so I I didn’t know what exactly was happening and was kind of annoying with the scoreboards it had the um dangerous weather all the time so I couldn’t really see the scores but uh I had plenty of stuff to to work with myself i had to grind over so many putts so I I kind of try to focus on that victor you were kind of a witness to the last putt by JJ there to win the tournament and just what was it like playing with him and the way he bounced back after a bunch of bogeies early wow yeah that was uh unbelievable after his start it just looked like he was out of it immediately and um everyone came back to the to the pack uh I wasn’t expecting that really um I I I thought I had to shoot maybe three three under par uh today to to have a good chance but obviously the conditions got really really tough and this golf course is just a beast um yeah to to watch him whole the putt on um putt on 12 down the hill there was unreal um and then he makes another one on 14 that was straight down the hill and then the one on 18 it’s just uh absolute filthy there see the one that hits the stick on number two what was it like to be out there and see that to see his reaction yeah I mean that’s uh that’s uh that’s US open for you right there that’s that’s pretty tough i mean it looked like it was going to have a lot of spin but uh there was no doubt when it hit the pin that it was coming all the way back so that was um yeah I think he’s forgotten about that one now though went back out after the delay how was how was the conditions i mean looked like there was a lot of water you probably have to search for a spot sometimes when there there’s no casual water was it a little close it was It was close but it was it was doable it was fine cuz luckily there’s so much slope out here that uh you can always find a dry spot and and the water kind of runs down to the bottom so it did work out but we didn’t need much more rain before it got uh too much what was it like to be on go for it there come so close i mean you could have created a situation yeah I needed a birdie or I thought maybe whole one out on the last that would have been nice but uh I gave it a good go i mean it was it was at that point it was a little little too late i uh kind of had just missed I think I missed three five-footers today and you just can’t can’t be doing that if uh if you’re going to win a major championship you were speaking with such confidence the other day how much that carry you throughout this tournament just that you came in here relaxed and feeling like you could win this open and even though you got open you came back yeah I mean I’ve been working on that a little bit i’ve been kind of tearing myself down a little too much even though I I knew I do know that I need to work on some stuff and get back to where I I used to be in a way uh mechanically but uh in in the interim I can still perform at a really high level and uh there’s a lot of good stuff so just got to take that with me and and uh be a little bit kinder to myself thanks for timely
