“Phil’s leadership transformed philanthropy on Staten Island,” said Dr. Brahim Ardolic, senior vice president, deputy market president for the Western Market, and president of SIUH. “His dedication and commitment have helped strengthen our ability to care for Staten Islanders right here in their own community.”
“Staten Island University Hospital is a special place,” Mancuso said. “Three of my life’s greatest blessings happened here, and, unfortunately, two of my greatest losses. Though it all, the staff at SIUH has been professional, warm, and inviting. As our community evolved, so has our mission — to treat, care for, and cure our fellow Staten Islanders.”
A highlight of the evening included the announcement that Mancuso had been named a Kentucky Colonel, recognizing his philanthropic leadership and dedication to family and community.
Michael Caridi, chair of the Staten Island Regional Executive Council, also applauded Mancuso’s lasting contributions. “Phil is not only a trusted advisor and friend, but also a pillar of this hospital family,” he noted.
