an excellent final round of the Hulen Courtourt Women’s Open coming from just south of Brussels The ladies European tour back in Belgium after a year’s absence Not the final round though that Avandi Pashant was looking for the 18-year-old Indian with a last day 75 to finish in his share of fifth place alongside Lauren Walsh who put herself in contention again started with that at the first Had to settle finishing at seven under par Just one birdie in the final round for Helen Bream This was it at 10 Just three all weekend But after finishing second last week in Tennere fourth place in Belgium Best round of the day came from Amelia Garvey 66 for her best finish on the L in third place Plenty of birdies in the final round for Nastasia Nadau Six in total as she came close to a breakthrough victory But after her 71 she had to settle for second place at 10 under par The day though belonged to Darcy Harry Out in 34 she really turned the screw at 13 and 14 This for a wonderful eagle at the par five 13th pole And she would follow that with an even longer putt at the 14th When it’s your week it’s your week And at this point Harry moved into a fiveshot lead There’s going to be no catching the Welsh player First Welsh win on the Ladies European tour in nearly 5 years She’s only been a pro a matter of months It was only her ninth ladies European tour start but already a champion The Hooden Court Women’s Open champion A final round 68 Good enough for a threeshot victory A sixth top 10 of the season for Emma Spitz She’s playing so consistently But the spoils though went to the Welsh wizard That was Darcy Harry A victory that books her place on her home course at Raworth Call at the AIG Women’s Open
