what a stunning course What a day It’s not get much better than that does it it’s been 5 years since the opening of Dumbar and this is my first time being here This is your first time My first time as well And I’m super excited just to show you guys how awesome and fun this place is We’re going to do loads of challenges on the course and we’re going to show you the experience from start to finish So let’s get to it Hey let’s go All right Come on How we doing well then will be out front waiting for you whenever you’re ready to go out to the range again Okay I mean I can already see the view through the other side of the clubhouse which looks mental [Music] Tell you what I’ve eaten in a lot of golf clubs in my time That is one of the best fish fish fish and chips I’ve ever had Really it’s unbelievable How’s your How’s that burger so good Cajun chicken burger Would recommend it We We are going to play golf like that at some point Yeah But no there’s no rush This food is incredible It’s quite a nice office you got here isn’t it not too shabby You know what I love James is that a grass range before teing off especially here See if you’re on like a map like it’s fine but you don’t get like turf interaction You don’t get that same kind of feedback do you cuz the amount of times you’ll like hit say 20 balls off a mat before you go out and I’m hitting a brilliant Then you’re getting a We’ve got it stimping kind of 9 and 1 half or 10 So it’s quite a nice way to just get loosened up have a few putts before you you tee off this tea It’s a very firm tea Oh you’ve got the line though the black te’s on just now 6,900 then 6,400 5,900 then 5,300 for the front TE’s Wow It’s good because it gives everyone a chance really doesn’t it it’s all about entertainment You were telling us entertainment Yeah There’s lots of risk and reward around the golf course You’ve got three drive ball par fours the third the 11th and 17th and then two other holes You’ve got a a decision to make on the tee the fifth hole and the 15th hole You’ve got split fairways So you do you go down the left or do you going down to the right with bunkers maybe in the middle you know so I think we’re going to play the blue TE’s today 400 yards It’ll be fun Good test swing Yeah great swing Nice strike Come right Greens are fast You can tell even just looking like glass Go and get the Pro Zope I know Saying you want to really try and chew some yardage off you can take it down the left I’m going to try and take it on the left Yeah I I’ll try and follow you try Yeah it might not be as successful but it’s tough cuz there’s loads of bunkers there You can see the ones ones furthest left from here So we’re in the blue TE’s To reach them we’re looking about 230 And then to cover the rough on the right we’re like 225 So it all kind of pinches in Oh I got all of that Yeah left of the bunker Okay I think it was good I might have maybe just a little bit too far right on my line but we’ll see Oh great start line Get lucky Miss it Oh Oh no That’s a riskreward right there in the the face of the bunker we were talking about We both took on the risk and we both and we both did not get no reward All right All right Okay Cool Okay So sixth hole at Dumbarani Close to a pin And I think 160 wind slightly helping a little bit I can feel it Off more than anything I think Or am I just trying to get in your head yeah I don’t think it’s helping at all I’ve got What are you hitting i’ve got an eight That’s cute I’ve got wedge All right Very good Good looking shot Little short is good I think you should get inside that Should get inside that That’s a high bar you’re setting for me there Ah get up It’s good for distance Just a little left And you’re closer James All right So I’ve I’m 12 yards away No 12 yards 13 12 Done you by a yard I’m much I was showing 12 and then I’ve stepped back to my ball and it’s 13 Three feet Mine was showing 13 and then it showed 12 Another victory to the good You f a peach and I’ve hit that A long way in That drive was fueled by macaroni pit heavy Fly and run Skip until now Be the right club today Yeah really Do donkey high out the road so I can sit down what though what an unbelievable course that was wasn’t it brilliant mate Loved it Oh man That was awesome That was terrible Let’s do that again That was bad I enjoyed that mate That was good fun What a stunning course What a day It’s not get much better than that does it no All right So we just finished a round at Dumbarney coming off the 18th there And what a day Special Really really special Absolutely incredible From literally as soon as you set foot on the property soon as you get out the car clubs are on on the buggy you’re through the door you can see all this behind you Yeah it’s special The check in seamless Got the grass ranges chipping area putting green and the course I mean what can I say that was special wasn’t it the thing about the course is that you can play it so many different ways We could go back out there right now which I would love to do We don’t have time sadly but you could go back out and play almost every hole in a different way Maybe come up with the same score We were finding that today Different levels and how far we hit the ball You were taking it on one line I was taking it another line We got to the green we were both making four And you think that’s just brilliant I know it like it it was one of those situations where you’re always in the hole If you hit the fairway you’re always in the hole you’ve got different kind of routes to take but you’re still going to take the same amount of shots kind of to to get there and get the ball in the hole at the end of the day But I think for me that front nine was pretty special Halfway house just off the eighth as well which was really cool And then the 10th hardest hole in the course which is had a nice little revamp as well I think we played that pretty well We did Yeah I do say so myself But I will say a lot of fun The back nine for me are just brilliant holes You look at 11 short par four and 17 as well Brilliant short par fours some really good par threes Thought 16 was fantastic Just such a good variety that’s going to test everyone Five different tea boxes We played off a couple when we were going round Can’t fault it to be honest No not at all And I think no matter your level or ability like you said there’s there’s TE’s for everyone We played off the blues and I’d highly recommend that It was so much fun A lot of holes as well which you won’t necessarily see in a lot of golf courses which you can drive as well You can go for it and you do get rewarded like you even I was driving greens I know you were driving greens You had a pup for eagle as well Unlucky with that one But you know it was it was it was good fun and it was and it was just enjoyable the whole way round and I absolutely loved it So I think if you are thinking about playing Dumbarney don’t think just do it It is an unbelievable experience from start to finish David Scott and the team here have done an incredible job And we’re going to get a beer Yes I think it’s well
