it was a very tough decision for Tottenham because of winning the Europa League do you think that Daniel Lee has made the right call uh time will tell if it’s the right call it’s um it was a it was a season that I don’t think anyone thought Tottenham would have you know finishing in 17th um but then qualifying for the Champions League winning a trophy that hasn’t been around since 2008 um I definitely think made the uh the board reconsider um I I love uh watching uh postogu style of play i love watching the football um results this year i mean they weren’t good enough in the league uh that’s that’s for sure so um you know the the next person who does come in is going to have to be someone who uh who knows how to work with uh and quickly how to work with Daniel Levy you know he’s um he’s he he will be different to work with than any other boss that they’ve had um in their careers and that that’s really the uh the big focal point and that’s that’s one of the reasons why I think Mauricio Pochettino’s name is there because he is he is one of the managers that definitely knows how to work with him let’s pick up on that point then as to what makes Daniel Levy different to work with than any other boss from your perspective um I mean first Daniel is um is for the most part a genius when it comes down to the f the financial responsibility of a leader in a football club um the he he’s uh he’s strong minded he has his own opinions on uh on the game um you just have he has a different type of communication skilled skill set when it comes to talking to the um talking to the board and talking to the staff that I think some managers aren’t um aren’t used to one one thing that I found with Daniel though um he’s probably the most punctual uh boss and one of the busiest men in football but he always returns the uh the message the phone call the email immediately cuz he’s always seeing if there’s something out there that can help Tottenham Hotspur so I think he gets a um a bad rep sometimes um just because they hadn’t won a trophy in uh in so long they’ve been close um but he he does a lot of good for Tottenham Hotspur as well it’s just he he just um he just communicates a bit um a bit differently sometimes he might be uh a little seem a bit standoffish with the managers other times he’ll seem quite affectionate and it’s hard to um hard to explain exactly unless you’re in in the job but if if it is Thomas Frank that goes in there he’ll he’ll know what I’m talking about within a month mhm um do do you think that that what you were just saying about Daniel Levy doing good for Tottenham Hotspur and a lot of that is from a financial perspective he he’s helped create this wonderful new stadium which can house NFL games which can house Beyonce tonight that that he is driven by financial gain and actually that the glory that Tottenham supporters have enjoyed by winning the Europa League he actually is probably more bothered by the fact that that win against Manchester United has got them into the Champions League because of the riches that can bring no Daniel’s a supporter as well so don’t don’t get it wrong like he he’ll be absolutely delighted that they won a trophy um but he he also understands from when he took over Tottenham where they were financially to where they are now um he could sell the club or they could sell the club or he could hand the keys over to someone and know that he is he has created a one of the most financially stable and sound clubs in global football so does he want to win yes he wants to win but he wants to win with his with his structure i think that’s a better way to better way to put it and he’s you can e you can look at glasses half empty or glasses half full he’s either the most stubborn person and he won’t change his ways and that’s how it’s going to be when he’s purchasing players or you can say he’s an innovator and he’s going to he’s going to make sure that they can win trophies by doing it his way but either way you look at it the the great thing that Tottenham supporters should understand is the clubs always going to be in a good financial standing so they shouldn’t get themselves into trouble like so many big clubs look at what happened to Leads look at what happened to Aston Villa that you know has happened in the uh in the past so um you know I think uh I think he does a lot more good than than harm for uh for Tottenham Hotspur i think it’s when it comes to the managers there’s a lot of turnover and a lot of change and and I really think that comes down to one thing it’s how the communication is between the the uh the manager and and Daniel Levy from from the club statement it’s interesting because you’ve touched on it already he says we cannot base our decision on emotions aligned to this triumph he’s talking about the Europa League there’s been a lot of lovely tributes from his players an Posttoloo just one a few moments ago from Destiny Doggy a lot needs to be said but I just want to thank you for the work you did and for believing in me over the last two years i wish you the very best for everything that’s coming your way again to to go back to the owner and the relationship and communication do you think he would care and he would talk to particularly senior players about do you think from a players perspective that Anastakloo is the right guy to take the club forwards 100% i think he tries to get information um to help run the football club as as best he can i don’t think he does it um again this is a glass half empty half full scenario i don’t think he does it to be devious um but he tries to get information the best he can to make the right decisions for the football club while also being fiscally responsible let’s talk about Thomas Frank i’m sure we’d have heard our reporter Gary Cotch just before we came to you Brad talking about the various attributes he possesses would he feel like a good fit for Tottenham Hotspur for you he’s an excellent manager it you know I I’ve seen his quotes where he says you know why would I want to leave him at a you know what would be bigger what would be better well well Tottenham would be bigger that’s that’s for sure um whether it would be better for him than Brenford you know again that all comes down to relationship and style and how you how you deal with the board at Tottenham which right now he he obviously deals very well with the Brenford board um going into going and and Brenford by the way is very much analytically run going into Tottenham they also run it analytically but they have a little bit more um you know Daniel will have a little bit more input on on really being a stickler for the finances when it comes to certain purchases so it it’ll all come down to his personal relationship with with Daniel Levon whether that will then be a better club could it be a better club of course you know there there’s there’s more riches at Tottenham than than are at Brenford when it comes down to um the type of players that you can that you can bring in and um if you you do get into the Champions League you can Daniel Levy will spend a little bit more if you if you win a Champions League or win a Premier League then you’ll be able to spend a little bit more but it will all be done you know within his financial model so I it it all revolves it it all the managers that have been on this list are excellent and it it all comes down to um who will be able to communicate the best with Daniel Lee to be able to convince him or come to a mutual arrangement on the players and the staff that you bring in to be able to play your style of football that’s it’s the that is the single most important um scenario when these managers are deciding to go to Tottenham or not on him then I wondering whether you had experience of managers who who have come from smaller clubs and whether going to a club like Tottenham where the expectation is bigger particularly after the fact they’ve just won a trophy for the first time in 17 years and you see them change over time because everything they do is questioned whereas with the greatest of respect you might be able to go through four or five games at Brenford and it’s not picked up on quite as much as it would be at Spurs i I think he’s experienced enough to deal with that just fine i don’t think any of that will bother him um at all certain managers um yes especially the in more inexperienced um and younger managers I could see that happening if you’re a manager that is only managed you know in a uh a League 2 or a championship level and then you’re given the opportunity to manage one of the top six clubs in England I think you know that can be a bit surprising but um I I think he’s uh I think he’s more than experienced to deal with that situation just a final one then on Mitzio Pochettino because you know him well you’ve spoken about the influence that he had on you as a coach uh in your own career timing wise does this feel like a a bit of a non-starter that before a World Cup in the USA as the US men’s head coach that this is not the time for Poch to be returning to Tottenham it would be um it would be a surprise for me if uh if he did it there’s a there’s probably I won’t give the names of the other ones there’s probably only two or three clubs in in global football that he would even consider the conversation to change at this stage with with it only being about 12 months out from a World Cup starting um Tottenham would be one of those because I know he loves the club and um and I know he likes Daniel Levy a lot and I I know he respects Daniel Levy they had a really good relationship for many years so um could there be a conversation that wouldn’t surprise me um but the timing like like you said is uh is not ideal for something like that to happen [Music]

They become the new incompetent Manchester United keep sacking managers 😲
I bet at start of season winning a trophy and qualifying for Champions League would have be considered an acceptable outcome to the season!
Ange: wins a trophy
Levy: we don’t do that here
Spurs are not a serious organization
“Daniel is a genius” – no he’s not 😂
It is only right for Levy to set the bar high. He runs the risk of having another "let's abandon the league, focus on a cup" strategy during season 3 under Ange (if it happens).
Looks like Levy interferes too much..managers don't get respect
Correct decision. Dont forget we played AZ, Frankfurt, Bodo and United in the knockouts – extremely lucky draws. 22 Losses in 38 matches is relagation form. Teams were able to create good chances against us without breaking a sweat, while we sometimes labored to create chances with no Plan B. Winning the Europa was massive no doubt, but let’s not pretend as if we played Liverpool, Bayern and Barcelona on the road to the final.
Levy never returns messages to the fans.. so not that prompt or communication skills
Who is Freidal?
Ange bailed out Levy.
Now Levy will sink Spurs alone.
Frank won’t survive one season.
The only good thing that happened to spurs is having Ange. You expect morons spurs have been a failure team for decades. Ange was trying to change that.I hope they get relegated
A manager lights a fire under you. A leader lights a fire within you.
The club has removed it's one and only leader.
Levy out once and for all.
So basically Daniel Levy is the problem..got it
Oh it was the wrong call for Spurs, thew right one for Ange. He'll go onto a bigger and better club, all the while laughing at them languishing at the bottom of the Premier League or fighting for promotion from the Championship in a few years!
"Daniel is a genius!" OK daftie
What sort of owner neither knows nor cares when his actions adversely affect his own staff. That is the classical definition of a psychopath.
My heart is broken and at a certain time in an abusive relationship you just have to walk away.
Got anyone intelligent you can ask an opinion of?
Levy is like Donald Trump, a businessman turned football director; he's only interested in making money rather than in the Emotions of the supporters. (The Joy of Winning a Trophy)
Levy is NOT a supporter
I think Levy is hanging out for Pochettino’s return and that Frank is basically just a stop gap til then…….he’s destined for the sack whatever he does or achieves.
Weird timing to say league form is important (when it wasn't for 4 months). Now they have qualified for CL + Europa Trophy, he's playing the league form card. What? No mind given either to significant injuries, yet they were close to winning two trophies.
Frank, Ariola, Silva … never managed in CL or won anything given alot more time.
Apologist ..
Frank making huge mistake, expectations from fans are so high now, every one who takes over Spursy want lust to seasons, no matter what you do, you have to pay Levy to stay.
Spurs are in shock winning something and defaulted to prioritising sixth in the league.
Why. Give Ang a four year contract?
wow – i'm sure there's a pile of fans on here who are crying now but three weeks ago calling for Ange's head – we played the most shockingly bad football last season that I've ever seen as a spurs fan – and I've been watching them since 1971. Naive, badly set up and and clueless. That's on the coach. Oh and before we get to injuries etc. he hid Romero and VdV for EL – all the fans could see it. He could have recalled Ashley Phillips or played Reguilon – a spanish international – but no don't want to do that either. Want to plough on with crap football and crap results, hoping that it will all be fine if we win EL. 26 losses in a season. As Ange himself said, the football was "unacceptable". Before adding "It's on me" – yes it is pal. Thanks for the memories.
Levy should obviously keep out of the footballing decisions. Stay in his lane with the finances.
Still one of the best keepers I’ve ever seen tbh.
Friedel looking for a job😂😂😂😂
I'm struggling to see how spurs can sack a serial winner, who just backed up what he said and who the players he signed still seem to be fully behind him for a manager that is mid table level and been at a club for over 5 years and hasn’t won a major trophy! On top of that the new manager has to compete in the champions league.
Make that make sense?
This decision has been dubiously compared to Ten Hag's reappointment after winning the FA Cup with United. If TenHag was left to finish the season with United, they would have done far better than 15th because his squad was geared toward the Ten Hag system, not Amorim's. IMO, Ten Hag should have been left to finish the season. Levy & the Board could have risked keeping Ange because the squad is built in Ange's image and not the new managers, which would need to rebuild with at least 3 or 4 transfer windows, i.e. if only the new manager works out and not also sacked as is spurs' custom. This one may backfire if he appoints a manager who has not managed in CL football. eg T Frank. Ange has that experience
Levy out
never mention leeds and spurs in the same breath spurs are just cotporation leeds a club
LEGEND BRAD, one of my favorites players of the club
Levy putting the spursy back into spurs
It’s done. Ange is gone. Frank is in. Go with Ange, stay with Spurs. Owners do what owners do.
Stats don't include the underlying issue of the worse injury crisis ever in the club's history and it wasn't even the best squad (no prime Kane, Sonny, and the like)………. Stats don't mean a thing for wins and losses!!! What an ignorant decision!!!!!
