gorgeous conditions for the opening round of the Hoolen Court Women’s Open The Ladies European Tour back in Belgium after a year’s absence Bit of breeze around making conditions a tad tricky but still some wonderful golf Look at this from Emma Spitz player ninth on the Ladies European Tour rankings holding out for an eagle at the 10th in a round of 72 Madison Hinsson Tolchart arrives in Belgium off the back of a first top 10 on tour last week in Tenneref Going along nicely again the Australian at two under par Four times Ladies European Tour winner Nura Itas rolling in a simple birdie here at the par 513th on her way to a round of 70 That leaves her at two under Thumbs up indeed Nur Sophia Kibs Gordon Nielson has been making a habit of making good starts on the ladies European tour in recent weeks More of the same in Belgium A round of 70 to under par for the Dane Also on that mark the first player from Hong Kong with a full ladies European tour car Jinny Ding reaching the par five 13th in two She two pack from there for one of her birdies Nastasia Nadau one of those in the top 20 of the rankings coming into the week The young French player with a round of 69 three underpar as is Kylie Henry who hold out a really good part at the last for her three underpar score It’s over a decade since she won twice on the NE Caragana is third on the ranking She’s had a win a second and a third place finish this season And that was a real bonus birdie at the 14th in her round of 69 Reason to smile She was playing alongside Helen Bream who was second in Tenneref last week The highlight of her day came at the par 59 This in for an eagle in a round of 68 That leaves a one shot off the lead at four under par Also on that mark at four under par is another teenager This one from India Ay Brashantth super second there at the 12th But out in front another rookie Kelsey Bennett the Australian with a fine approach here to seven which set her up for one of nine birdies in a round of 67 Bennett leading the way at five under par setting the pace on day one of this Hulen Court Women’s Open
