hey guys welcome back to Modern Golf Hope you’re having a great day and even better week Today we’re talking about I think my favorite material I’ve ever seen in a golf bag And that’s the Sunday Storm Rider I’ll get sued if I sing a song So anyway let’s talk about how ideal this golf bag is really for everybody but really if you are a a serious walker that plays in all kinds of elements I think this is the ultimate waterproof walking golf bag in golf So my guys at Sunday Golf some of my favorite people uh in the golf industry continues to evolve and evolve and evolve with some incredible golf bags Uh we did the Ranger earlier in the year a golf bag that I absolutely love Again maybe my favorite so far this year There have been some great golf bags Uh we’ve done the rider Uh depending on when you catch us we are actually working with Sunday golf and giving a rider away uh for the US Open this summer of 25 If you’re catching this in the year 2029 sorry that contest is closed But if you were here before then uh certainly reach out and try to sign up to win that bag But let’s talk about this golf bag This material I have never seen before until uh I ordered this golf bag It is like nothing I’ve ever seen before and it is they call it 100% waterproof I’ve tested it The waterproofess of it Um besides the waterproofness of this golf bag I love um everything about it The scratch proof resistance the aesthetic of it It has this kind of matte black but has a little kind of a a visual imprint thing going on I love it But there’s a couple things that I want to change and and I hope Sunday Golf listens because I I want this golf bag but I want to make a couple changes to it So let’s talk about the specs first Uh right around just under 35 in 34.5 in uh what we call toe to no So not the not the tallest but right about where the normal average is Most golf bags for those people who are new here um the average golf bag is right around 35 1/2 in So a little shorter but again nothing you will notice It has just under 7in top And we’ll get into this as well Uh again a fiveway top I go driver 3-wood and if I’m lucky hybrid um and this is I’ll get into my point And then I go 5 6 7 8 9 pitching uh gap sand uh my 58 and then a putter We’ve talked about the top It’s an engineered mesh It’s a fiveway top It’s really good It holds up to 14 clubs Let’s get into the features Um they do and by they being Sunday golf a crazy good job with making golf bags and evolving and changing Uh again if you get a chance to check out this material it is it’s my favorite I’m going to go on record and tell you this is my favorite material in golf bags that I’ve tested from synthetic PU nylon to whatever This is the best material I’ve ever used I I love this material I literally uh when I got it I said “Boy I could use this in a lot of different golf bags.” So the Ranger which I use all the time and I just happen to clean everything up has a little bit different more of a um riptop material Also one of my absolute favorite materials This one is a little different If you’re familiar with the way Nike used to make their NSW uh limited edition bags it was this kind of material It’s really soft in the hand looks really good looks really sharp holds up really well Anyway I’ll get off the my soap box for this But anyway aluminum legs Would I like to see carbon fiber sure I I I think this is a price point thing This material is not cheap And again what these guys do is so flipping good They put a tough guard here It’s like they know how to make golf bags almost perfectly So they put a tough guard so when you’re walking in muddy conditions you’re not ruining this material You’re hitting this I also love the hint And I don’t know if you can see it This is for the weekend These guys they’re they’re just so good at making golf bags So there is an umbrella loop here Uh I’ll be very honest with you I’d never carry umbrella like maybe ever Um although their big rig has the full uh tube I guess you want to call it or area where you can put your whole umbrella and it kind of hides I love it So if we get into this again your umbrella from here slides on the outside and goes into here We move this around Has two little loops here Uh I actually like the fabric loops I usually use one for my glove Although you can use this thing right here made for your glove Um but I actually use this uh I don’t hook my um rangefinder up to these I hook up my little JBL speaker Uh regardless if I’m walking or riding I just like it there Um there is as we talked about a little triangle there for your golf glove They have the softest material for and I’ll put that in there for uh your valuables pocket Again all Aqua Guard zippers which shouldn’t shock anybody Large storage here Uh the rain hood is a little different material although it feels similar I don’t know if this is exactly the same No it’s a little different Although I really like the material for this one a lot Um I did not have to use the waterproof part of this bag yet I’m sure we will at some point just one big cavern And again there is a zipper that you can get into um uh if you lose your Rolex or something down in there So we zip this guy up Two things I want to talk about There is a pass through for your cart strap which I don’t remember the other rider although I’m So it does have a pass through for your cart Um it also has one of my favorite pockets It’s kind of horizontal Goes down and over pocket I like to store my glove in here in between uh rounds or holes or what have you I like it there card strap or the card strap The handle is fantastic for me This is all I need Soft It’s a nylon back material Feels good in your hand It’s tough enough Uh Sunday Golf does do their little logo here and rubber Again I love the touch points The straps are made from the same material Again you can see the Sunday Golf engineered mesh I found them very comfortable I did not have any issues with these at all these straps And I don’t know if it’s just maybe I’m crazy Um they almost seem like they have a cooling kind of material behind them When you touch them it almost feels like it’s cooling but maybe it’s just I’m crazy Um but worked fine Very easy to adjust on the fly I get when I got them I didn’t have to do a ton Although my one shoulder dips a little more so I had to adjust it that way One of my favorite pockets in golf is the frosty pocket Again very large for that You want to put multiple drinks in there It’s a great place for it There is your large ball find your ball finder your ball pocket in here This does come off if you want to get I love modern golf or your credit score uh or your IQ uh or what have you But again I can fit I think roughly a dozen golf balls maybe 15 in here So if you need more than that um you have to put them in other pockets I’m not going to tell you to quit golf because that’s a stupid comment Uh we’ve all started from somewhere Listen if you break a 100 for your first time this year or break 70 congrats This game is not easy We get into the base I think this is where I would also like to make a couple changes Sunday Golf should put their logo somewhere in here They also should put some rubber touch points in here Again just I’m nitpicking here And there’s also a nice little handle here to get in and out of your trunk or throw in the back of your truck whatever One of the best um hip pads They’ve changed this So the other riders got a different design This is a much thicker version I found this a lot more comfortable um again with the air coming through it I really like this change I don’t know if this is the change going forward for all of them Um but I do like this It’s a much much more comfortable hip pad Not that I had any issues with the other hip pads but really like this one Oh let me flip this around I forgot my favorite pocket So this pocket has places for teas Uh and you guys saw this If you put drinks in here uh there is a reservoir to get it out These are great for little teas This is called the no smell pocket So whatever you’re put in here uh it won’t smell But love the little pockets I love this for the little rangefinder or my little uh ball repair tools and ball marks and all that stuff Just one of my favorite pockets Absolutely love it I wish the entire industry had something like that If we flip this guy back around now we’ll get into these pockets Um we talked about this It has a very large what I call water bottle pocket Um that kind of expands but it’s great Uh I haven’t had any issues with this stretching out I have it in uh the Ranger as well as some of my other riders Really no issues with that whatsoever This pocket opens up Again it’s not the biggest pocket This is my other I would say I want to say knock on this skull bag What I would like to see improvement is a little more expansive in this and is also I would say the butt of the bag I would like to see a little bigger pocket here Um and then also this to be a little bigger It’s tight Like it’s you know you get a towel in there and that’s about it Um but again overall really enjoy this golf bag The Storm the aesthetic of this golf bag is off the chart good So one last thing I want to show you And so I’m assuming you know what they say about assuming that people listen to critiques And so one of the critiques I have with these stupid rain hoods is they get in the way And so what Sunday Golf has done let me grab that rain hood again Mhm So here’s the rain hood right it’s a very nice material And this is not something I like I said I’ve done before I’ve seen before with these guys So this must be something newish can unzip [Applause] that and zip it up and away you go Kudos to the designers at Sunday Golf I mean you’re hitting every point Again my only I I guess issue with this Golf Egg if you even want to call it an issue it’s just a little bigger version Um I think the Ranger is getting there You know you look at like the big rig and you love that top and you’re like man can can’t they make that top into like a stand bag i think it’d be a home run I know it’s a bigger golf bag don’t get me wrong but that’s where the world is going I think most consumers buy stand bags and I don’t think 90% of them ever walk Um I think they’re almost becoming like staff bags with legs But anyway that’s my only two critiques A little bigger top little bigger back end uh with some storage I think it’d be a home run It’d be a 10 out of 10 golf bag Let’s wrap up this guy this guy today So value it’s $299 before you can use my discount Again you don’t have to use my discount if you don’t want Uh but if you buy anything from Sunday golf please use my discount so you can kind of save some extra money and get a better value Uh if you don’t want to use my discount want to use somebody else’s that’s fine too It doesn’t hurt my feelings Um my favorite material in golf right now by far Um absolutely love this golf bag This really took me for a surprise We’ve done some very fun golf bags with these guys before Um the more I dig in the trenches with Sunday golf the more I love their product Again I think the only thing my only complaint would be I like with stuff I would like it to be a little bigger Um but outside of that they’re just home run golf bags Um if you’re a walker and you play in crappy elements which a lot of us do this is the ideal I think this is some of the best materials I’ve ever seen on a golf bag um some very cool new unique features which we haven’t seen from them before Uh and again uh just one of my absolute favorites from Sunday Golf So if you’re in the search for a golf bank and need one that you’re walking all the time and you want it to be waterproof I would say definitely give this one a check It is very very very good So anyway guys hope you guys enjoyed this The Sunday golf rider
