today we are at Tonjong Putri Golf Resort where we fly the drone for the first time so apologies in advance for the amateur footages now this course has definitely seen better days and has probably lost some of its charm however the Greens are still relatively okay and I got to give a shout out to one of the best service staff by the name of Nisam who’s made a lasting impression with his excellent service standards and thoughtfulness so without further ado I bring you the front nine of this plantation course this is hole number one a par five and off we go I think okay he kick past he kicked past the the tree trunk I saw should be okay he’s looking for good contact here bit thin but that will play okay got about one 121 going with a pitching wedge okay that should be nice good look at buddy let’s try to make this one yes almost okay okay hole two is a short par four uh the hole is actually quite quite a severe dog right basically play it down straight and then you cross the body of water over there to the right that’s the green so I’m going with a hybrid here pulled it left i think it should still be okay uh the trees trees might be in the way okay got about 160 uh the pin is exactly I mean in line with that far lamp pole so that’s where I’m aiming um there’s no bunker at the back so seven iron is play here oh it’s drawing left oh it’s at the back of the green hard sand i will need to leave it i need to leave the club i need to feel like I’m leaving the cup in the ground ah too much too much too much club in the ground there making a meal out of this for why okay double boogie here okay hole three that’s a hole that goes all the way straight it’s getting quite long wow 37 m oh go through the trees please oh I hit another tree yeah I hit many trees not sure where that ended up i’m about 23 six away with a flight in front i’m just probably going to hit it as near as I can wow pulled it again get lucky okay still have a shot over there got about um 65 m should be able to clear these trees over here oh just shot of the green but I’m happy that put it over the trees open the club face oh I broke a bit too much in the end okay this for bogy another double okay 126 pitching wedge just avoid going down the slope hopefully the drone captures this nice image h oh it fell into the bunker ah it’s a roll three paces here left to right part it’s for P take a break oh just could pass the thing there another double back to back to back to back to back to back so hole five is actually a path four uh there actually uh O will be right here so the play is just to be in the center and on the left 172 to the pin tree is in the way so I’m just going to go right and probably aim the center or center right of the green bit of a downhill lie actually the ball’s going to go right anyway okay went where I was aiming at least okay it’s long and it rolled off the green another up and down 23 m through the hole uh it’s a bit downhill so I need to hit this really just nice on top of that slope too hard I think yeah so hard to judge that one okay got about three and a half paces here slide left to right we get the confidence going flowing again started out with a P on this nine ended up with three doubles let’s hope this one somehow drops this would be for my P turn turn turn another bogey okay hole six uh pretty straight hole again I don’t think the motor is in play avoiding the bunkers in front is pretty crucial okay did a good one there okay got about uh 101 m playing a bit downhill i think 54 should be just nice bit to the right a short shot just short okay got about seven paces uh quite a severe right to left seven pieces down here bit short it’s breaking about one cup plus it’s on a downhill finally 07 part five two trees right in the middle yes that’s good yeah okay I got about I think 184 i’m going to try to go for this green the ball is above feet so the ball naturally wants to go left but I got to counter it by opening the club face a bit hopefully this pays off it’s going to hit the tree and it’s going to come down somewhere in front after the bunker okay hit the tree managed land here happy with that result 43 m going with a 60 the hardest distances to hit uh cut it too fat I think okay shot of the green 13 m long side this for par pretty straight yes okay two pass in a row okay hold it a part three over the water oh it’s playing long a bit longer than usual play about 17 um 175 left tailwind i’m going for six iron here just good contact please oh pushed it oh pushed it to the right okay got about 37 m away going to go with a 48 bump and run here oh no break get up more okay four half paces uphill quite straight this for par oh I think I hit it too soft yeah I hit it too soft broke left did not see that break at all okay okay hole number nine hardest hole I think in this entire golf course it’s basically a big tree in the left that’s blocking you so even if you find the middle of the fairway you don’t have a direct shot to the green so the play is actually to fade the ball just right of that big tree that’s close to the water i mean that’s your only shot at a green regulation here on this hole so let’s just hope this goes to land a hit it so fat hit it so fat i mean it’s in the middle but okay so as you can see even though we hit the middle of the fairway this tree is blocking the approach to the green so hopefully I get this ball to draw it’s about 161 going for a seven iron oh it’s turning but not enough okay got about probably a 30 m chip from there very happy with this result about 21 m through the hole somewhat of a downhill once it gets on the green it’s a 54 sit sit sit sit sit sit sit sit sit sit sit sit sit sit sit okay uphill part two and a half paces just see The greens condition could have been better! When I first discovered this affiliation about 2 years ago, we only paid 160 RM on a weekend AM game for greens that were rolling around a 10.5
