some golf courses around the world just have a run of holes that are potentially a scorecard wrecker today that’s what we have here in Turkey but I have a secret weapon to help me shoot lower scores hopefully that’s going to be the case i’m going to talk you through that in just a second but as you can see we have actually some nice kind of signage on the TE’s which works well for a lot of people now visually I’ve never been a huge fan of something like this i’ve always just used a rangefinder like my Milesy S1 Pro just to help me get a number but when you have blind shots like this you can’t always rely on this so let me explain hi everyone my name is James Robinson and welcome back to this YouTube channel and yes as you can see we’re taking on a couple of holes here at Sueno Golf Resort and the last three holes we’re going to play here end in stroke index three stroke index 5 and just to top things off nicely stroke index one so can we break par on this run of holes that’s going to be the question but I mentioned about a little secret weapon that’s in the bag and it’s not Mini Brett all right Mini Brett hi how are we doing it is this brand new device from our friends at Miles it’s the Genie Pro G1 now you’ll see it looks very similar to the Genie Pro S1 but as you can see we have a lovely little screen on the side here and as soon as we ping this on it gives us a lovely guide of the hole we can move ourselves around there and see just exactly what we do have and you can see it even kind of points us as to where we want to go did you get that okay brav turn that a little bit and we can kind of just plot up and down the hole as to where I want to hit it where we want to go now the screen’s incredibly responsive so you can see just how it even tells us if there’s an obstacle in the way or not so realistically this could be a fantastic option for people Oh we don’t want to exit who potentially don’t trust just the zapper like I do so it’s definitely driver and it’s a little draw around the corner that will do nicely and as Chris would call it a left-handed draw so that is a prime example of where having the confidence knowing where you’re going gives you the kind of perfect T-shot you can see here we’ve just let a group through actually but you can see a perfect drive down that fairway and we don’t have long left so by plotting that on the GPS on the miles here it really really can help massively now this isn’t anything kind of massively new to the market we have seen kind of hybrid GPS and rangefinders before but for me I have been using this throughout the day and the ease of use has honestly been fantastic so if anyone’s kind of looking it obviously it’s got slope it’s also got the green reading technique and it’s also got pointto-point measurement so really it’s kind of doing everything you do want to do you can also put your score in as well which is really really nice so lots of things to play out and the more I do this I will do another video on it in a couple of months or weeks time but this is my kind of first impression because often you can lose your head a little bit with technology like this if it doesn’t work easily so for me it kind of the one thing I’d say is I’d like a magnet on it so you can just have it there and then you’ve got a little screen on the buggy the one thing I’d say is it turned on really quickly really easily charged it overnight with a micro USB and from there it found the golf course in like seconds which is half the battle with something like this isn’t it [Music] so guys as you can see we do have 69 yards to the front 79 to the middle and 93 to the back but whenever I’m here I can see the flag i’m just going to zap it like I would any normal rangefinder so we do have slope turned on we’ve got 84 yards to it so you can see we’ve kind of we’ve got a little bit of an estimate but also I can get the exact number if I want 84 right 84 tells me there’s 10 yards long that we can play with ball’s massively above the feet here but a fantastic location this is awful awful lie aim right oh that’s working in delightfully well that has to be the perfect distance and I’m hoping it’s spun left with the spin axis from this light can we break par on this array of holes where the finishing holes are massively difficult i’m also not sure if you’re supposed to put divots back here but we don’t have a divot mix in the boogie so I’m going to go with yes sorry if that’s wrong so I’m absolutely buzzing with that a hole that does look quite difficult off the tee but by a bit of forward planning we’ve known where to go we’ve known where to hit it and we’ve known just how to leave ourselves flag high you can see it has spun in just a little bit nicely although we’re not quite as close as Martin brett’s just degraded his putt great put Brett birdie on here would be a little bit of a bonus to try and get under par for them holes stay up it’s low it’s low i never thought that could break as much but that’s the easiest part you’re ever going to make and we’ll move on in this challenge right that’s a part on the opening hole challenge now one of the things I’ve really liked about this is it’s just moving the hole on as the GPS picks it up so as soon as we get to this tea I’ll pick it up and it’ll move the hole nicely i’ve opted not to put the scoring in because we do have a bit of a game going between ourselves anyway but stroking next 13 here now what are we saying on here so all you have to do is tip tap this little button on the side and it’ll pop up you can see it’s moved us on straight away to the sixth hole 314 yards now if I want to know where I’m going just sit back there for shadow and you can see I can just tap a couple up there 323 so this is telling me really that’s not driver you can see 230 leaves me 99 in which I’d be quite happy with it narrows up massively up at that green so I think it’s going to be just something that can hit it about there a nice 230 yard shot and for me 230 yards is probably my trusty hybrid and I have been hitting this quite well so hopefully that continues in vain right come on just planning the golf course rather than trying to attack it i would 100% have hit driver on here as well that’s good if you like perfect wonderful now the the ideal scenario here is we have 100 yards in then that’s gone 230 on the nose right so one of the things we can’t control is where the ball lands in the fairway you can see it’s almost like Teletubbies land is the name of Teletubbies Land is it just Teletubbies Land i was thinking more the Shire from Um but we actually got quite a nice lie here unfortunately we look to be a tiny bit blocked out by that tree with a right hand pin location but let’s see what we have in we’ve got we’ve got 100 to the front so that’s going exactly where I wanted it we’re just to the right of the fairway aren’t we it was a bit healy so it’s gone right i said good if you like perfect it wasn’t perfect we’re about 120 this is going to be 117 no slope at all 117 plain 117 do you reckon a cuty gap wedge gap wedge probably goes over that tree anyway does it i think that way at below the feet that’s helping i’m going to go left of it that’ll be good then if that spins just right a bit that’s got to be perfect it did break the zoom there as well very late i tell you what that is the perfect golf shot there’s a huge sloping green here as well that’s another chance at birdie you can see that has just spun nicely again so really just kind of plotting what I’m trying to do here and it’s important that you know how far your clubs go if you’re going to do this but it’s also important that you have the right information as you can tell no Bobby on this trip bobb’s actually not on holiday this time for once officially it’s me that’s on holiday on an un anyway anyway let’s see if we can make a birdie got to say guys huge thanks to the guys at Sueno Golf this is the Pines course here in Ble and this is honestly one of the most stunning golf courses that I’ve played in a very long time i’m very lucky that I get to play some fantastic golf courses but this one’s massively up there i’d say it’s better than anything that we really played in this area last year perfect yardage again mate weren’t it caddy were on bag that’s why right seventh hole as you can see water short let’s have a proper look on the Miley and see just what we’re working with huge differences between what teeth you’re playing off here which again it’s important to make sure you play the right teeth if you’re not you’re likely to just not enjoy it got you okay what do we beauty about this as well like I can obviously get the distance from here but I can also just have a quick look before we even walk up to the tea so 28 to the back 192 middle 181 front so the T’s actually up there now this is prime position for pointto-point testing so if I just click cycle through all the different modes i’m on point to point so I can then go T- box to flag which means we have one it’s 19 from here but it’s 181 from the tea box so it saves me taking up on the tea and therefore leaving on the tea and losing it because I’m a bloke and I am useless you’re bringing it on then can I be the cameraman you can try sit it’s okay it’s the right distance it’s just a little bit pully I think right that’s the first real kind of in the arm or with direction but I still think the distance is good it might still have caught the green if not we’re just on the fringe but realistically here one thing that I’m really really happy with your guy is I’m giving myself chances we’re hitting greens in regulation one thing that I’m not really that overwhelmed with is Brett’s camera angle here bring back crotch i can’t tell where I’m going right you could say that’s lucky it’s a bit unlucky i’m going to chip this because there’s a bit of a ridge there you could put it distance is not bad which is the key break a bit break a bit break a bit would be soft wouldn’t it give yourself two 10 footers for birdie and hold the chip that you miss have you seen anybody be that wide on a par three and still try and go and get it all right oh dear oh dear oh dear falling good news i got it on camera right so good job we tidy that up because that’s the start of the hard holes we’ve got stroking next five coming up and finishing on stroking next one the hardest hole on this course so far so good in that we’re not over par but I feel like we’ve squandered a few opportunities to get under par i brought Billy club out here as well so we’re gonna try and get Billy to the driving range which he’s always family friendly out here in Turkey where’s my cover have I left my cover up there thank you and me wedge bit expensive round wouldn’t it would have been very expensive but why I haven’t left is my because we’ve got a lovely little case right we’ve missed the sign unfortunately the sign’s all the way back there and I don’t have to go back which is quite nice so we have par five come on B bring it in par five 536 to the back 520 obviously that’s not what we’re looking at here we actually want to just click on this and then I can just kind of work out cuz I drive about 270 maybe 280 out here so we know that’s going to put us in trouble but it does leave us with a 265 shot in dog legs to the right as well do I just cut how far is it to carry that bunker carry the bunker’s 220 so really you’re not going to hit anything that goes less than 220 because if you hit it slightly right you’re in the bunker so the shot here really is a cuty driver because you know it’s going to go over that bunker would you say that i agree i agree yeah fence there i haven’t looked at that i think I’m just trying to go straight are you yeah you stand up and look at it don’t you reckon we can carry them trees uh no i think I cut a new that’s perfect isn’t it enter Mini Brett it’s a great strike good shot right i actually think that could be position A we went straight over the trees and really that might leave us cuz if we can get that 28 into the wind a bit but feel like maybe even though this is cuz you don’t see many either you look at the kind of par here on the card par five stroke index five you don’t see that very often are you the player Joseph joseph’s the player over here so that’s okay but even if not as long as we’re not blocked out by anything we should still be kind of All right is this us here i’ll tell you what oh we’ll take that all day mate won’t we right we’ve also found a nice bit of shade as well so we are saying here guys would you like me to include this in more videos as well cuz it gives you a bit more of a clue of what we’ve actually got so 240 to the front you can see we’re not going to worry about those bunkers too much 266 to the back now I think that’s hybrid i don’t I don’t think we really need a 3-wood because there’s a nice little area that we can kind of come short on worst case scenario I’ll have a little bit of a chip up i think that’s what we’re going to do i don’t know it’s on a down slope so it might come out a bit low but that’s one of the real reasons we’re not going to hit three wood got all the world right to miss it though really as well that’s not very good hello what we having what you got very good thank you hi mate nice to meet you very good how are you buddy would you like to maybe call Fanta what sandwich have you got oh Miller how’s that a Coke Martin please go on then no I don’t need Yeah it’s sure right we’ve got that on camera as well that’s the first ever time he’s lying I guess first ever time i didn’t know camera on he just got me back for about 10 minutes right well I think this is much needed after that shot Joseph cuz that was terrible i know cheers well it wasn’t cheers or in Finnish kepist or in Korean Gambe i think that’s all I’ve got right i think we might have gotten away with that if that went a couple of yards further it’d be in massive trouble but again distance-wise I’m really not too dissatisfied with that so probably want my sand wedge coming up and down for birdie right as well all about short game golf in it all about short game what’s golf all about Joseph shocking short game shock game you say shocking man you’d be a terrible parrot it amazing what happens when the beer cart comes the thought the thought of the beer upset me so I hit a bad one and then a couple of swigs and we hit that oh great shot sir thank you very much have a beer right we are officially under par so now there’s just a case of the hardest hole on this golf course and the thing about this is it’s not an easy golf course so the hardest hole on a hard golf course is generally a very very hard hole as we can see there nearly 400 you know what I’m They’re going to be meters aren’t they i’ve just realized that they’re going to be meters and this is where again you can set the device to yards or meters or whatever um this looks rather difficult so what does it say on my see you can see there we get this out straight away it’s on the ninth hole it’s telling me where it is let’s go through our little kind of new routine here and we want to be there 280 leaves us 100 in the water it’s 290 all right Bob hi bob’s natural environment to film this anyway it on holiday he’d be burning now though on Oh yeah he bit shade that is absolutely perfect that’s probably the best shot I’ve ever seen it with that driver actually then this is how it’s been that all of a sudden turned stroking next one into a possible birdie opportunity to get two under par thank you Mini Brat oracle oracle the Oracle on screen now the Oracle i’m Lancasher’s greatest darts player and quiz champion so again they’re a nice drive and it’s nice to know obviously where the hazards were we’ve evaded them nicely so I I tried to do this on a course I mean we haven’t come out here specially to do it but a course that I’ve not played before that I don’t know that I know is going to be tricky and you would just have no idea where the trouble was if you didn’t have something like this so I have been using the kind of standard rangefinder for quite some time but I must admit I do think now I’m I’m just going to do this because it’s so easy it’s not kind of Some of them can be infur infuriating but this one just seems nice and simple so can Where’s my ball joining it is it further up i’ve absolutely hammered it haven’t I if If it is See look at it’s there that’s a rage that’s a That’s a what in English that means that’s a fantastic shot yeah it’s it’s a Brett’s back there look wave up bro how did your dad feel as being 150 yards behind us 110 21 to the hotel 110 playing 110 and doing that’s harder than it looks actually with the with the camera it’s just a nice gap wedge right apologies for any audio discrepancies there that’s my fault i’ve not been checking no bobby you see no bobby but play this 100 let it release out a bit we’ll cut a bit off actually cuz the water shouldn’t be in play famous last words be the number be the number oh she is she is the number and that there Joseph is another chance isn’t it that’s your third it’s another chance this is for two under par for that series of five holes is it come on this Oh ankle go the the challenge was under par we are one under yeah what
