welcome back to the channel guys in today’s video we’re going to be testing the Cleveland HB soft putters which we spied at Sheron Golf Club didn’t we sam’s Pro Shop yeah we were riding them ain’t corn and we thought what are they well when we saw them and when we saw price point you just look online aren’t you and you can pick these up what did you see 119 £119 i thought that were a lot of putter for the money you know obviously considering you’ve got that sort of nice midsize grip yeah which you’ll know if you watch some of our putter reviews we love because it takes a bit of pressure out your hands helps you use the weight of the club more it’s combined with looks like a bit of a counterbalance helium shaft y um you know unlike most of your sort of standard steel shafts a bit of an upgrade shaft in there and I must say what a lovely looking sort of profile of head quite nice aren’t they especially at face i mean we’ll talk about them in more detail but initial looks very nice i think for that sort of price range and considering how much putters can cost these days there’s a bit of technology in there isn’t there looks like it be interesting to see how they perform just out of a matter of interest then if you were to sort of look and see them on the shelf Dan what would your preference be shapewise yeah shapewise uh probably that one i don’t know what you call it would be me as well so it’s like the number we’re going to call it We keep saying this don’t we number seven oh look what does it What’s it yeah what’s that hb211 11 number 11 well we better give it the respect it deserves it’s a number 11 i mean that’s my favorite i love this like fang design you know for obviously alignment and you know square the ball up to the hole so should have a little bit of putting comp a little test on these see what they like let’s see what they like so for you lazy buggers I’ve got to mention this one it’s the retrieve model it’s been designed to fit in the hole and you know what i’ve probably undersold that not lazy buggers a lot of people with bad backs aren’t they like myself like yourself where you can retrieve the ball it it actually fits in the cup of the hole a bit of pressure on there and I mean that’s incredible i mean my F3 don’t do that i’ve seen putters that pick the ball up but not actually that fit in the hole has there not been one before i feel like I have seen this somewhere before ping possibly could be ping bring one but I didn’t realize it fit in the hole there you go not better so during this test we’re going to talk about alignment to start with how easy are these putters to align up to the all so I think even though this is our preferred style of putter I think we should test them all start with a number 11 we’ll have one put each and this one is how easy once you’ve got that ball squared up to the hole are they to address you’ve got a bit of an advantage cuz you can see now well I’m I’m playing it fair i’m not stood directly behind you that’s lovely that Dan oh well I can’t come and look we’ll stick a closeup in a minute that sits absolutely beautiful and them white lines on top really do stand out against the black paint it’s got a little bit of a ping to it you like a ping it’s a almost It does i shouldn’t say this but it it is like the ping i love grip and it actually looks nice grip into it you can see there can’t you how clear that is to Yeah line up you just pull trigger don’t you [Music] soft there’s no winners on that one then is there did you think it was soft do you get that ping sensation no I felt that were really soft did you did you not um do I think in a recent test we tested rife and that definitely felt a bit softer than that one yeah that that’s soft do you not think let me try it again it’s another one so if I hold this I go one up as well let’s not for Let’s not forget it’s a competition i didn’t even read put [Music] um so competitive i were almost going to say I could feel it had got some weight to it you know like weight but I feel like definitely off face it was just really soft almost like that Odyssey insert that they used to do we did leave them short didn’t we i felt with the weight of the putter it would have come off quicker if that’s what you mean okay right um and that’s why I felt like I didn’t hit it cuz it felt heavy and I thought it’ll do the work but just needed to hit it a bit more see weirdly when I’m stood behind it and I hear the sound it doesn’t sound as soft as it felt for me you’re not hearing that ping noise no and I didn’t I didn’t feel like I felt that in my hands either guys if you’re in a pro shop or a retailer go and test this one and tell me that you can’t hear that ping noise no I’ll be I’ll be honest it sounded a bit more firm then but it didn’t feel like that in me hands that’s what I’m trying to say right next up then we’re going to test the retrieve because I think this will be a popular putter you know you know for like senior golfers and stuff like that cuz bending down and you know it’s a serious matter isn’t it it is a lot of people buy the sort of things you can put on the end of your putter yeah I’ve seen them uh but this would be a bit better solution so I’m going to try a longer put um it’s still nil nil isn’t it no one’s hold anything yeah this is where I come good though you don’t like these uh live puts do you so are we going to play nearest pin on the longer ones or Well I’m only mine what do you mean nearest pin well for point go on then yeah let’s have nearest at hole what one ball each well we’ll do two shots each yeah so the point for each one too he’s worried you’ve still got the white lines haven’t you just have a little closeup down it’s still quite nice also you’ve got a bit of a different neck haven’t you it’s more of like a floor neck y so you’ve got your hands just slightly in front of the club face which is nice you can keep that shaft vertical and you’re still in a good position steady not bad for weight there’s definitely more of a ping with that in there that’s like a high pitch you can really hear that do you know what I would say is there’s a bit of weight to them the ping but they’re quite nice and soft off the face they don’t shoot off the face feel hard do you want me to go again yeah go on you have your two i couldn’t trust myself to hit it that high on break does open yeah i’m not sure it’s my kind of design this one no you know I’m going to stick and say that number seven’s my preference but Yeah if you have got a bad back and you struggle retrieving all it’s nice to have that option isn’t it [Music] slow do you know obviously being someone who has a bad back do you think bending down during golf makes that worse uh yeah i had a thought so i mean I’ve got DF3 so obviously I can pick mine up now right uh so yeah of course it’s going to help i mean up and down all the time cuz I guess if your back’s in a better shape playing golf could you sacrifice having the style of putter you want for better you know full shots potentially oh I don’t know you know will it help you during later stage at rounds yeah I guess it’s a trade-off it’s a trade-off you’d have to check data so Gary turn camera off a bit quick there i mean at Yeah all right that’s the closest but it we’re never going to go in all i’ll give you the point though we did say we’re going to be closest yeah so you’ve got the point we’re going to use the answer shaped head what have they called it Dan modwise it the number one or number one ah did you guess that or I had a little guess so it’s your sort of classic answer shaped putter they still keep making these all the brands don’t they so there must be a demand for them yeah yeah i don’t think it’s always going to be popular and we’re going to be performing clutch puts clutch put if you hold it you get a point dan’s one up gary stood behind i get in line which I never did oh dear i mean that’s two miserable putts i think that’s more the uh Do you think it’s softer than you’re expecting or Yeah minimalistic isn’t it yeah it’s just that classic isn’t it definitely that traditional play i always used to be the person that had one of these you know i always had like an answer shape i’d never moved to a mallet right till recent years i mean it is softer than you think isn’t it it is yeah just let’s talk about this as well so obviously got the milling in the face if you don’t know what that’s designed for it’s fantastic technology it relieves like you know water yeah and stuff like so if you’re on the fringe of the green and there’s a bit of like debris or a bit of water and moisture whatever yeah it it falls into them grooves so that you can keep your you know connection with the ball cuz if you have uh water between the ball and the club it can really affect your strike right this one to get back to one one and then I think we’ll This is where it matters we’ll cap it off with a winner i’m confident on this one going with that line on Paul i’ve just got to commit and hit it i knew it i knew it he’s rammed it in right we’re going for a winner shall we pick a a long one a long one and you can pick your preferred putter oh go on then picked a long slopey downhill one as well i just love like that alignment and I’m going to allow for break this time trust it [Music] did you feel that wind pickle well good job cuz that were 5 foot past which is very uh blustery out here today do you know what though you won’t appreciate on camera how tricky that put is downhill and swinging and I’m mega disappointed that I’ve got a foot from hole he’s done it let’s get ruler out there’s no ruler needed there mate do you know what credit to putters though because just in a few like what we had 10 minutes stepping up and hitting some difficult parts and you can you can get a feel for them can’t you quite quickly they’re a nice enough feel i think we’ll uh Oh I tell you what there’s no What do you mean there’s not there’s So as you’ve probably seen many times on this channel it does get a bit competitive so yours is 20 ines to the front edge of the ball from what you’re on about then oh it’s miles it is you’ve done that two inch it work two inch they do said 2 in is everything don’t they well in this game it is uh but yeah that’s the Cleveland HB2 soft and um I think for £119 D well we we tested the rifles didn’t we they were 155 something like that i mean these are undercutting it and I don’t know what do you think i’m just really enjoying like testing this equipment that we typically would go back we’re snobs aren’t we yeah i mean and we’re always looking at that high-end market but actually I reckon you could build a fantastic set and I’d love to build a second set you know for pleasure i mean people will obviously say “Is my putter worth seven times the amount of that?” Yeah and can you actually stand there can you stand there and justify it i mean I’m smiling behind camera i don’t think you can can you sorry guys we’re having a bit of a cav casual conversation and uh and chat here but no on a serious note it’s good that there’s some good quality products it’s more than usable for anybody sort of wanting to put a set together on a budget and do you know what we’re talking about Cleveland here we’re not talking about you know an undescript brand we’re talking about a reputable brand it looks lovely it’s a good design it’s a good shaft grip i think the grip’s lovely by the way that’s it it’s going back guys I think we’ll finish on that note don’t overlook Cleveland if you’re looking for a putter under 150 pound definitely put this in your putters to test and uh make sure you hit that subscribe button let’s get to 50K and we’ll see you in a few days time bye

Good putters 😎
Cleveland are a great brand and I’ve got their irons and one of the wedges. I was very tempted to buy one of these the other week, but the grips they’ve gone with for this line up are really big which put me off. Ended up getting one of the new Ping Scottsdale putters for the same price – got lucky through an eBay auction.
I love my #11. I replaced a Spider and have not regretted it!
It was a Ping Sigma 2 Fetch, great for hole pick ups, also great picking up out of streams and trenches 😂
Fun review – great interaction. I'm more in favor of center shaft putters – – – which are one step closer to the new zero torque craze (which are just center shaft putters with the shaft moved rearward 1/2" to 3/4")
Not sure i could use a putter that rings like a bell
I purchased the HB 11 last month. I spent a lot of time trying pretty much everything golf galaxy had to offer. I kept coming back to the Cleveland. I am very happy with it. I love the soft feel.
Great lineup!!🤌🏼
Nobody is buying these on that putting display 😂😂😂
They are soft because of the shaft. I tested that model to the previous silver model and the new one is incredibly soft. It's the shaft. Brilliant job Cleveland.
My current putter collection (6);
– 0 Works 2 ball – had a 2 ball since 2001 and swapped to this on its release
– T22 Newport 2 (Re-release of 1997 Tiger putter) just because I've wanted 1 my entire life
– GSS Tour Rat because of covid and putting with a flag in
– Cobra Grandsport 35AL (Sponsored)
– LAB DF3 (Sponsored as EDGA Player) my current gamer
– Taylormade Spider (Scotty Scheffler spec)
Nothing even comes close to the performance of the LAB #teamLAB
I just purchased the center shaft. Looking forward to trying it on my next round.
Very very nice looking putters and very well reviewed Gaz, don’t apologise about casual conversation keep that side of it up as it is interesting to listen too
Bought the first Huntington Cleveland putter years ago and wouldn't change it although I have tried. Cleveland make excellent clubs at a realistic price .
Looked at the last model HB Soft, before buying my odyssey Rossie s, great putter but I wanted something different to the metal face putter I had. Great option though.
He carries a fold up ruler in his golf bag 😱💪😂🏌️
Nice honest straightforward putters with no gimmicks (unless you count the ball grabber which only works if you take the flag out). I'd take the anser-style one.
