come in the corner boy welcome back to Bogey Book today we’re going to be reviewing the Lab Golf Mez One Max putter so we’ve got a fully custom setup running here we got the slick white-on black press number two Lab Golf grip the black Labolf X Aqua Shaft which was actually a $100 option on this thing Carl and the beautiful dark green Mezwan Max head with the little Lab Golf heart on there and this thing actually set us back $650 I believe something around there but Carl I think it’s actually worth it because Lab Golf values stability and control you can spin it on your finger you can see it’s balanced which means you can hit it toward the hole straighter and leave it closer to the hole more consistent or at least that’s what they claim and that’s exactly what we’re going to test here today to start it off we’re going to hit some putts give our honest thoughts after that we’re going to do a comparison with a different putter and then our favorite part we’re going to do a couple of challenges let’s get to it let’s just do three shots initial feels it looks really good in hand first thing I love the green color by the way i don’t know the line i’m just going to try to feel out the distance oh Carl I love that roll oh my god first shot of the day that felt so good not going to lie to you sank the first putt man no comment there that was amazing another one a good roll but not the distance felt good though i think I’m going to take that out of the way because that’s right ahead you can tap that in yeah for sure i’m going tell you right now I love the feel and the look of the putter two out of three maybe that would be real nice come on yeah a bit short as well on that but the line was there i think that was not the fault of the putter that was more just me kind of mhitting those shots but uh real consistent I would say i just want you to hit it i want you to feel what I just felt but if you guys want to check out some more Lab Golf putter reviews we did a you mentioned the soft feel how does it compare to the DF3 i think it’s pretty comparable maybe a little less softer but almost the same I would say okay bulls this is actually the first time I’m going to hit the mez oo Carl and first shot of the day arvo synced his first shot crazy man yeah I didn’t expect that props this gives me DF3 vibes it definitely has DF3 vibes i like it i want to feel the feel pause feel the feel you’re actually right it’s a good putt i’m going to move that it does actually feel soft and the grooves are all across the club face which I really like get in get in there boy oh sick line good consistency wow i I’m actually kind of starting to feel in love with this unexpected from the man but we’ll see maybe go in i’ll take that i mean I left every single putt for one foot as you can probably see that I’m really happy about this initially i couldn’t agree with you more it feels really good and the design is sick i don’t know how I feel about the grip that’s exactly what I want to ask you because I feel like you play those circular grips a lot and I thought you’d really like it though i got to put more i feel like I’m not used to these circular grips being like the press ones like where there’s those degrees oh yeah if you know what I mean because you can look at this yeah the offset thing yeah so you got to get used to those but but with that being said let’s get to the comparison we’re going to be comparing the Lab Golf Me 1 Max to the Odyssey i believe it’s called the 10 putter i’m going to hit two short putts with each putter then Carl’s going to hit two medium putts with each putter and then I’m going to hit two long putts with each putter and we’re going to see which putter is more consistent which putter helps us sink more balls i would consider this a short putt like a step away make it a little easier hit it downhill see how they compare yep that’s a make right there feels good concentration unlocked just get this one online yep and there we go two makes from the Odyssey it does feel a little harder than the MEZ but still feels really good i mean it’s an Odyssey it’s a classic you can’t fault an Odyssey let’s see how the Lab Golf does sure as heck hope I make both of these though it’s going to be a bad look for me if I don’t although I wouldn’t be surprised after I put that in the universe yep barely that was nervy though that was pretty nervy just a straight little putt simple a little lip out not the lip out no happens happens my honor is tainted but honestly even though I made both of them with the Odyssey I wouldn’t fault the lab putter for that feel wise I would give it to the lab putter but since we’re going databased round one goes to the Odyssey putter right there okay let’s move on to medium putts pressure’s on buddy i think there’s less pressure with the medium putts since you’re not that pressured to make them i love medium putts man what else do you like medium there should be one thing that you answer immediately or maybe you don’t love a medium no I’m not saying anything what what are you talking about i don’t know man i was talking about steak oh my god i didn’t even think about that i like medium rare oh well then yeah I was about to say maybe you have a different preference yeah but I was thinking about some different but Okay then don’t I’m not going to say it i’m not going to say we’re PG here i got scammed okay odyssey regular putter oh we were lining up the put with the lab i see see okay okay regular feel left it short it’s uphill though so Yeah yeah forgot about that man get up there oh nice run let’s look at the spread look at the spread oh my god but the spread was relatively good it’s all right it’s all right two putts from there as I always say these putts look like those when you get that birdie chance and hopefully this thing does the job lucky ball lucky putter don’t let me down oh lucky putter that’s That’s on me that’s on me boys that’s on me that’s very short i didn’t expect it to be that short no there’s something that I don’t like what don’t you like Carl i don’t know what can I hit another shot i mean you can hit another shot the storm’s brewing in the background as well right as you said that they don’t want me to hit us in i want you to hit it in though that seems pretty good i’m really confused man there’s genuinely no problem with this thing i feel like something was off in my swing but that’s not on the putter i was hitting it more confident with the Odyssey and I was a little bit scared with this i didn’t want to hit this one too long apart from that I’m tripping mess putter data kind of shows that this beats it but feels wise definitely the mess takes it for me i’m starting to like this one so round two goes to the mess right yeah I’m saying mess let’s do this little tent oh my god we’re doing a fire wait that looks cool though a little comparison okay uh so Arbo you got to take care of the big putts that’s I’ll consider this a long putt starting off with the uh superstroke i feel that the superstroke should be harder what am I talking about the Odyssey the Odyssey should be harder to hit from a longer shot and have him be more consistent but let’s see what the data shows okay that’s short but I wouldn’t blame that on the putter i just didn’t read the power correctly line was good though let’s try to lock this one in oh I mis hit that so bad it’s better that was on the line that one I felt like you could see a little bit of unforgiveness from this putter right here because I hit it a little on the heel and that thing just that went away and it took away a lot of power from it as well but I mean consistency wise both balls stop next to each other so I wouldn’t really call it inconsistent if I could get it closer probably give it to them well that’s definitely a bit closer direction was off i want a whole one honestly good good control nothing great but I would say both of those are Well the second one is definitely a gimme the first one yeah I don’t know but definitely better than the Odyssey so just uh let me uh tap that in real quick so this round goes to Mezz right 100% datab based and feel-wise this round goes to the MEZ which gives the MEZ a total of two round wins making it the winner in this part comparison and before we move on to the next segment here and it’s just going to go down the hill i feel like that’s going to be perfect so three shots per Yeah you guys comment down below who has the best angle you comment down below who’s sloppier pause i’m going to get the nasty angle first shot come on that was straight middle how did I perfectly make that bang that putt dang skitty that was almost such a nasty lip out oh my god this is pressure here oh my god i mean hey there was no nasty lip out the second one was really close but dude that shows you how consistent this thing is i wanted to lip it out i made every single shot so even if you want to lip out you can’t do it it’s anti- lip out maybe you can prove me wrong but that’s a tough place to hit a lip out from give me a lip out i want to see check this one out boys you got to get the nasty angle yeah I will believe me I’ll get the nastiest angle first lip out little lip out little lip out i mean you still win because you got a lip out but I want to get a nasty lip out but the the nastiest lip out will be if you hit the right side you think yeah because it’ll go down the hill right side right side boys oh my god was almost such a nasty lip out please please lip it oh banged it straight in that was so perfect Carl that’s ridiculous we actually made five out of the six plus without even trying to make it yeah we actually wanted to miss the hole man why doesn’t this happen in the tournament like this is crazy statistics but I feel like when you try to lip it out it like automatically detects the hole and just go straight in the hole yeah it’s got AI detection technology to suck your balls in that hole pause don’t even look at me like that but now unfortunately the boys didn’t hit a nasty we’re going right over there and doing the closest to the pin long putt challenge let’s do it heads or tails buddy tails tails Siri baby tails never doesn’t succeed hey Siri heads or tails tails oh my god you’re going first Carl you know how it goes i already got it man i’ll shove the flag in the hole i got the balls man that was great come in the corner boy did you just say that I need to come in the corner yeah this looks like an uphill left to right putt hopefully I’m not wrong i haven’t done a long putt with this good luck man that’s That’s all I got to say guys you can read this putt you can tell us in the comments where that slopes before Carl hits maybe that’ll help him but let’s see how he does sit down boy that’s real good though i’ll take it i’ll take it a little long but I would take that any day one thing I just noticed and that was the thing that I didn’t like is that this putter is too long for me but this is customized for Arvo so he’s a bit taller and he wants his putters to be like a little bit longer so I would take like 2 in or 1 in down would be perfect for me yeah I think I added.5 really yeah i don’t think that’s 1 in i think that’s.5 i always go with the standard ones yeah you do 35 i believe I did 35.5 okay this is serious i’m going to beat Carl fast look at this oh no that was a bad line yeah GG’s buddy if the power would have been there might have been good but congratulations carl takes both of the competitions in this video but with that being said let’s move on to our final thoughts here at the final thoughts something I didn’t actually mention is this little cool USA head cover that the putter has i don’t know how you let that slide that’s really nice but I want to start off with the positives for this putter first things first it’s sleek hats off to myself for specking this thing making it fully custom i really love how it turned out second thing it compares to a DF3 the feel is very similar maybe a little tiny bit harder i feel like this is kind of a pocket DF3 if you want to see something smaller in your hands while putting next thing this grip i took a risk i took a smaller grip and I thought that I might not like it but I think I found a new love for myself because these circular grips with the kind of slick finish and the little flat face are starting to grow on me i feel like this grip is really nice and it’s really close to the superstroke grip yeah it is closer definitely so this one’s a cool one yeah and the really obvious thing I love that you can fully customize the putter half on half grips the black shaft well that’s a classic but it just went with the whole look of the putter the green head my favorite thing honestly was this little heart that I put on here because you can literally put almost anything as your alignment line on these putters so it’s really fun if you want a custom spec one and last thing for the positives it’s not about the putter it’s more about the fitting process for the putter it’s really easy you literally send over two videos to Lab Golf and they fit and give you your putter specs for you which is something that I’ve actually never seen before that was really fun to do that too but I guess you can tell them about the negatives now well I’m going to start off with the price point of course it’s kind of expensive if you want to get a custom putter it ranges all the way up to a,000 because they’re shafts with $400 options the total came out to 650 which is a ridiculous price to pay especially for us youngsters but the stock version comes at 550 bucks which is relatively expensive as well but in my opinion I think it’s definitely worth the money another negative it was kind of a bit too long for me well that’s my fault but that’s because Arvo set it up when you hit the putter you can see these little edges right over here oh my god they have sharp and when you go down and when you kind of hit the ball it can kind of grab in the grass a little bit and if your putter swing isn’t pitch perfect like if it doesn’t go like this if you kind of catch it like this your putts just ruined but overall we like this putter we give this 9 out of 10 yeah 9 out of 10 n out of 10 solid definitely
